Haha, I love the idea! But unfortunately, for that steamy dinner date to happen, Roshni would need to be alive... and well, that’s not exactly possible right now. 😉 But hey, keep reading and commenting, because who knows what’s coming next? 😏

Promise Day – The Promise That Wasn't Kept
Sakshi is truly a wonderful friend who reminded Arjun of the promise he made to Roshni. It was an emotional update, and I loved how it ended on a hopeful note, with Arjun vowing to live and find happiness for his one true love. Otherwise, by the end of this story, I feel like tum arjun ko upar hi pahucha dogi, Roshni ke paas.
Haha, I love your enthusiasm! Flashbacks, huh? 😏 Well, you never know, I might just surprise you with one! Keep reading and commenting, because things are about to get even more intense! 😅📖

Haha, don't worry! Arjun will definitely find his way to happiness—just not that quickly! Let's keep the suspense alive a little longer. 😄
Arjun Rawte stood at the edge of the window, the early morning sun casting a soft, golden light through the curtains. His gaze lingered on the view, but his mind wandered back to a time when the world had felt different—complete, whole, with Roshni by his side. Today was Kiss Day, and even though he hadn’t been able to truly celebrate in years, something about the day made him reflect. The memories of her flooded in—memories of their first kiss, their last kiss, and the countless times her lips had met his in moments of quiet affection.
His fingers grazed the edge of his jaw, as if tracing the memory of her lips against his. The memory was as vivid as ever. "Roshni," he whispered her name, as though speaking it aloud would bring her back, just for a moment.
He closed his eyes, allowing himself to relive that beautiful day. It had been just a regular evening, the two of them sitting on the balcony of his apartment, sipping chai and chatting about their days. Her laughter had been the soundtrack to his life, the sound that made everything feel right. He remembered how her eyes sparkled in the warm light, how she had leaned in closer, as if sharing a secret, and then—before he could even process it—her lips had touched his in a kiss so gentle, so filled with tenderness, that it had taken his breath away.
“Tumhein pata hai, Arjun… tumse baat karte karte, mujhe lagta hai jaise time ruk gaya ho,” Roshni had said, her voice teasing yet full of affection. “Aaj ke baad, tumhara dil sirf mera hoga.”
And he had smiled, unable to deny it, because even in that moment, he knew she had already captured a part of him that he could never get back.
The kiss had been soft, unhurried, and deep—a kiss that conveyed everything they had shared in their time together: love, trust, and the promise of a lifetime.
Arjun’s breath hitched as the memory replayed in his mind. He could still feel the warmth of her skin, the slight tremble in her lips as she had pulled away, and the smile that had lit up her face. “Tum se kabhi alag nahi hoga,” she had whispered, and that simple declaration had made his world complete.
But now, here he was, alone, standing in the very place where they had once shared so many moments. The emptiness in the room was palpable, and yet, her presence lingered—lingered in the echoes of their shared laughter, in the small things she had left behind.
Arjun turned, his eyes falling on the small box she had left behind, tucked away on the bookshelf. It had been months since he had opened it, but today, something urged him to look inside. He walked over slowly, his hands trembling slightly as he lifted the lid. Inside, he found a collection of little mementos—her favorite lipstick, a hairpin she always wore, and a single red rose pressed between the pages of a book. He smiled faintly, picking up the rose, his fingers brushing over the delicate petals that had lost some of their color but still held a touch of life. He closed his eyes again, his heart tightening as the memories flooded in.
“Roshni… tumne jo mere liye chhoda tha, har ek cheez, wo sab mere saath hai. Mere saath tum ho. Hamesha.”
Arjun could almost hear her voice, feel the warmth of her embrace. He held the rose close to his chest, inhaling deeply, as though hoping to catch her scent one more time. He walked to the couch where they had spent hours watching movies, reading together, simply existing in the comfort of each other's presence. The seat next to him was empty now, but in his mind, it was filled with her.
He ran his fingers over the cushions, imagining her sitting beside him, leaning against his shoulder. “Tumhe yaad hai jab humne pehli baar kiss ki thi?” he whispered to the empty room, his voice cracking just slightly. “Kuch bhi kehna zaroori nahi tha. Tumhari aankhon mein jo tha, wo sab kuch keh gaya tha. Tumne kuch nahi kaha, lekin maine sab samajh liya.”
It was as if the kiss had sealed their love in a way words never could. And it was in that moment that Arjun realized that while Roshni was no longer physically with him, she was still here—deep inside, in every breath, in every memory.
His fingers moved instinctively to the drawer where Roshni used to keep her things—her favorite perfume, a piece of jewelry, and a photograph of the two of them on their wedding day. He took the photograph out, his heart swelling with a mixture of love and pain. The photo had been taken during a rare moment of peace, their eyes locked in a gaze so full of love that it was almost impossible to look away. He traced his finger over her face, remembering how she had looked at him in that moment—with so much trust, so much belief in their future together.
“Yeh sab yaadein, yeh sab lamhe… Arjun, tum kabhi inhe apne se alag mat karna,” Roshni’s voice echoed in his head.
Arjun kissed the photograph softly, pressing his lips gently against the image of her. It felt like a promise—one that he hadn’t kept for so long, but one he knew he needed to start honoring.
“Mujhe maloom hai, Roshni. Tum jo keh rahi thi, usse kabhi bhoolne nahi dunga.” His voice was steady now, though his heart still ached. He placed the photograph back, his fingers lingering for a moment before he closed the drawer.
The day wore on, and as evening approached, the shadows in the room grew long, reminding Arjun of how much had changed since that last kiss. But as he stood by the window again, looking out at the horizon, he made a quiet vow to himself. He would live with the love she had given him. He would carry the memory of their kiss in his heart forever.
“Roshni, tumhari yaadon ke saath, main apni zindagi mein aage badhunga. Tum ho mere saath, hamesha.”
The kiss they had shared was more than a memory; it was a part of him. And as the stars began to twinkle in the night sky, Arjun knew that no matter how much time passed, that kiss would always be a light guiding him through the darkness.
