"Hmm. Abhi hum chalte hai. Sheher se bahar mat jana hum fir aayenge. Let's go Riya." Saying so Arjun was about to walk away when his eyes caught something.
His eyes caught the sight of a wall from the half open door of one room which look alot like a study room, without saying anything he went inside the room and saw the front wall of the room was full of things which scream violence. Yes Violence. Aggression.
There were various kind of pictures of guns, pistols along side of different knifes and daggers hanging on the wall. While on the table few handmade drawings of molestation behind colors, child-abuse and murder scene were kept. The whole wall displays violence even the paint of room also.
"Ye room kiska hai!?" Finally Arjun broke the silence and asked. Whereas Riya stood beside him with shock written all over her face.
"Ye mera... Uh! Mera matlab mere Papa ka hai. Umm. Unhe ye sab collection karna bachpan se pasand tha..." Ritwik replied hastely wiping the sweat from his forehead.
Riya felt sick, nausea standing in such a psychotic looking room as soon a frown appear on her forehead on getting negative vibes from the room. Seeing her frown, Arjun just nod and decide to not press the matter right now, even though he knew that Ritwik is lying.
So they came out of the room and looking at side drawers of the living room, Arjun said "Okay then, we are leaving now but you don't leave the city."
But what he saw on turning back towards Ritwik, made his blood boiled as he saw that Ritwik was ogling at his wife with his disgusting lustful eyes. Arjun fisted his palm to suppress his urgue of punching Ritwik right on his eyes. Seeing Arjun's angry posture, Riya went near him before pressing her hand on his arm which somehow calm his anger and then composing himself Arjun said grabbing Riya's hand "Let's go."
Saying so he dragged Riya out of the house before sitting inside his SUV as they drove back to ETF. During drive there was complete silence in the car which agitated Riya, who finally asked Arjun "What's the matter? Apko itna gussa kyu aarha tha? Arjun I am asking you something?"
Still not getting response irritate her more that angry tears form in her eyes as she raised her voice "ARJUN!?"
Arjun stopped the car all of the sudden and shout "WHAT? What do you want to know? Haan!?"
But seeing tears in her eyes, Arjun closed his eyes before saying calmly "Sorry. Sorry Jaan. Wo Ritwik. Ugh. He was checking you out there. Can you imagine CHECKING. MY. WIFE... That too infront of ME. I just can't tolerate that." He said running his fingers in his hair in frustration.
Listening his words, a smile appear on Riya's lips while she was amazed by his reaction. Hugging his arm lovingly, she said softly "Relax. Love."
And her words did its magic as Arjun calm down immediately. He peck her head out of love before driving back to ETF.
They reached ETF and started reading the facts of the case to find some clue. Soon others also reached and started briefing their findings.
"Arjun, humne pata kiya dono families mei koi connection nahi tha. Even the belief and thoughts of both families were totally different." Sakshi stated.
"Haan Sir! Dosti,dushmani tou dur yeh dono ke dur ke rishtedar bhi ek dusre ko nahi jaante. Yahan tak ke Sethi Shiv ji ke bhakt hain aur Mishra Lakshmi mata ki pooja karte hain." Chotu added with astonishment.
"Hmm..iska matlab tou saaf hai ki inke beech aisa koi rishta nahi hai." Arjun stated before adding "Shree tumhe kuch Mila?"
Nodding his head, Shree said passing the file to Arjun "Sir, Call records se zyada kuch nahi pata chala hai lekin bank details kuch alag hi kahani bata rahi hai."
"What do you mean, Shree?" Riya asked confused.
"According to the bank details of Mr Sethi, recently he has taken an insurance policy." Shree stated.
"So?" Riya asked
"Ritwik works in the same insurance company whose policy Sethi has taken. Right Shree?" Arjun spoke keeping the file on the table.
"Absolutely, Sir." Shree replied.
"It means there IS a connection between Sethi and Mishra. And what is the policy?" Riya asked connecting the dots.
"There is a catch, Ri. It's a life insurance policy which states that whatever the properties, bank balance and assets were there in the name of Mr Sethi, will gradually transferred to his children but if his death was sudden and suspicious like murder or accident then his everything will transferred to his elder daughter as soon as she turn 19, along with compensation that is plus 20% more." Shree told the detail.
"Matlab in sab mei zyada profit Sonakshi Sethi ka hoga. Lekin Mishra family ka murder kyun?" Sakshi concluded.
"Wahi tou pata karna hai hume. Chotu pata karo Ritwik professionally kaisa hai? Aur Sethi family ke murder ke din woh kaha tha? Riya! Tum Shree ke saath Sonakshi ke ghar jaakar usko interrogate karo. Kya woh Ritwik ko jaanti hai? Ho Sakta hai ismei dono mile ho ya shayad kisi ek ne hi. Let's find out."
Arjun ordered and others walk out saying 'yes sir' for their assigned works.
Sethi House
3:30 pm
"You mean to say, You knew Ritwik Mishra?" Shree said.
"Yes Sir, I knew him as Papa introduced me to him once. Mr Ritwik is Papa's insurance agent. I met him only once when they needed the signature of nominee that's me." Sonakshi replied.
Riya look at the file containing bank details as well as Mr. Sethi's will which Sonakshi has given her. She seconded Sonakshi saying "Right. Even the will also states that whatever the circumstance maybe everything will transferred to Ms Sethi only. And Shree this will was made 4 years ago, when Mr Sethi was admitted in hospital as his BP shoot up due to some major stress in his workplace. And..."
Her voice trailled off as she felt dizzy all of a sudden.
Shree immediately turned towards Riya on hearing her weak voice and saw her slightly sway before she held the nearby wall for support. He held her shoulder before making her sit on sofa and asked "Hey, Ri. Are you okay?"
Riya nodded her head feeling better and replied "Shree, I am okay. It was just some dizziness I guess maybe due to not having lunch but I am fine now."
"Are you sure that you're fine now?" Shree asked concerned.
Riya nod her head with a smile.
"Okay." Shree said soon they get back to complete their work and before driving back to ETF.
ETF headquarters
5:00 pm
"It means Sonakshi can't be the murderer or atleast money can not be her motive here to kill her family than other." Shree said marking cross on the facts board.
"Hmm.. but we forgot the fact that Mishra's were murdered first, then almost after a month Sethi's murder took place. Therefore this money, property angle is totally wrong. We should try to look from different angles." Arjun said stating the fact about their wrong moves as he stood near the fact board looking for the missing piece off the case.
"Exactly." Riya spoke before keeping the file back on the table. She added suddenly standing up from her chair "Again we miss the fact that th..."
But her voice trailled off as she swayed in dizziness and whispered "Arjun.." before falling down.
Arjun turned back on hearing Riya's whisper before running towards her with wide fear filled eyes calling "RIYAA!" While his arms protect her from the fall. He pat her cheek calling her name worriedly "Riya. Wake up. Riyu utho."
