Turn Around!

Part-24:

She turned to go yet again.

"You didn't tell me why you came here," He started again and looked at her as she stood and asked in response, "Why did you come here?"

He moved past her and sat on the porch near the entrance.

She followed him and stood at the steps holding the handrail.

He sighed and said, "Devils' disturbances inside!"

She moved and sat beside him with a twinkle in her eyes.

"Men's disturbances inside," she said sadly.

He smiled and said, "You are not supposed to talk to me!"

"Wrong!" she declared.

He looked at her questioningly.

"You -are- not- supposed to talk to me!"

He laughed at that.

Suddenly Wargade appeared at the entrance. He saw them sitting under a pillar near the entrance and were facing the garden.

Sakshi saw this in the corner of her eyes and turned to warn Arjun who was holding his mobile already in hand ready. "He's here!" she whispered.

"Ha, Funny..." he said and pressed the ear piece in his ear casually as though to say to Wargade that he was talking for some time now.

'He is now talking to a phone,'

She turned with a smile and her face changed as she saw Wargade standing there. "Oh, Devil God! He's come here too!"

She sighed dramatically and said, "I just don't know what he'd do when this fellow asks him to visit his mother once finished talking over the phone!"

That was it.

Wargade absconded from there without leaving a trace of his arrival.

Sakshi laughed aloud.

Arjun was saying, "He's coming inside, Shree!"

Sakshi guessed it was a trick and she said, "Give it to me, I'll talk to Shree!" as she extended a hand.

He raised his left hand to his ear and gave something to her from his right hand with a smile as she closed her hand.

She felt it was something round and a gram or so in weight.

"If you don't open it now, it'd be better-" he said in a puzzling voice.

Before he could finish she opened her palm and stunned to see the thing in her hand.

'Her missing stud!'

"-For you" he finished the sentence.

She asked casually, "Where did you get this from, Arjun?"

"Found it in my briefcase."

She widened her eyes in shock.

"Really? I can't believe-"

"Why, when you can go through the contents of my briefcase, can't I?"

"He..he.. I forgot to collect it in the fuss!"

She said with a nervous laugh.

Suddenly she got to her feet and rose in the steps fast.

She said before fading in to the house," Any way, thanks Arjun!"

Sakshi entered into the mother's room.

"Hey Guys," She said as she saw that we all were present there.

"Hi, Sakshi!" we responded.

"You know Ayesha, I got my missing stud back!"

"I see!"

"Won't you ask me how? Arjun found it in his bathroom!"

I intruded, "Ayesha what was the phrase here?"

"Which one Shree when you can go through my briefcase's contents can't I?"

"That's right!"

Sakshi sprang to her feet in sudden shock and looked at us helplessly.

"I was the one who told him Wargade was coming outside the house," I started revealing her the truth.

"I've planted a camera in Wargade's pocket button," I added.

"I-"

"You know Ayesha, if I want something I'd say so openly and will try to get it."

I pointed out.

"If I want something, I'll try to get it by fair means,"

Ayesha commented.

Sakshi did not know how to react.

She saw Chottu, for him to say something too.

He said," Guys, guys, take it easy. Leave the poor girl," Sakshi nodded affirmatively," You know her well. Just-"

"How can we Chottu, you know she-"

"Well, even Arjun sir didn't tell her anything, who bought them for her,"

Sakshi smiled at Chottu as she patted him on the shoulder and raised an eyebrow at us.

"Right guys, let's start packing!"

Turn Around!

Part-25:

Sakshi put the accessories pack aside. She had other plans for it.

As we had accused her as though she had stolen it out of Arjun cunningly, she had to do something to remove the stain.

"Have you finished packing?"

Chottu asked.

"Except the camera on Wargade's shirt pocket,"

I replied him and turned to Sakshi who was thinking something deeply.

"Sakshi, can you get the camera from Wargade, who is obeying you well," I asked her in a teasing voice.

"Why not Shree," she replied pleasantly and added, "And our baggage is ready for you,"

She motioned towards the bags, Ayesha was arranging.

Sakshi entered into the room stealthily as it was ajar. She got that he was in the bath room and started looking for the thing she wanted.

She found it on the cot and moved towards it.

She was satisfied to know that the briefcase was not locked, ''Good!'

She put the package in it and felt that something was wrong behind.

She turned suddenly to see that Arjun was standing outside the bathroom, leaning against the wall and was looking at her for some time now with crossed hands.

"Haven't you changed yet a bit?"

He looked the case, "What now a hairpin to hide it in it," He asked derisively.

"No, it's the package you bought for me today," she said with a smile, "See it's such a big pack and I don't have enough space for it in my bag!"

"Oh, don't you?" he teased.

She nodded sincerely, "So I thought I could ask you to put it in your briefcase if you please," she said affably.

He moved toward the cot and pulled the briefcase toward him.

He sat on the cot and closed the lid.

"I think if it was your true intension you would have asked me in the first place after a door knock, wouldn't you?"

He was saying quietly.

It triggered her anger though.

"The door was not locked and you were in the bath room. When I saw the briefcase was open I thought to put the thing in first and then tell you next,"

She was telling without a break.

"I still don't think that was the case!"

"Well, then," she plucked the case from him and said, "If you don't like then I'll carry my thing myself. You don't have to- have to?-"

The case was not opening even though she tried the correct number.

"I've changed it when I locked," he informed her.

She left the case on the bed and left the room in a flash.

"What do you think? Will our plan work?"

Chottu asked me as we were moving with our baggage and the wheel chair.

"Can't say now. If he still doesn't change his mind, it's just fate then!"

"Like this?" he asked as motioning towards the wheel chair.

"What?"

"See, we have baggage to carry and an empty wheel chair to stroll. But we can't stuff them in it!"

"Speak low. If he hears that we have an empty wheel chair then we've to start the drama from the first scene again," warned him in a lower voice.

"I'm ready, now I have a dozen mustaches!"

Sakshi knocked the door.

The door was opened and Wargade stood at the door way.

He looked at her uncertainly.

"They are ready to leave and waiting for you," she informed.

To her surprise, he nodded and took a step to move towards the hall.

Sakshi stopped him, "Ha, are you going to send them off in this dress? Change it and go," she instructed him.

To his surprise, he turned toward the room to change.

When he opened the door again he was in a new outfit and looked somewhat fresh.

Sakshi, who was still standing there nodded her acceptance and move aside for him to proceed.

As she said to Wargade, we were waiting for Wargade in the hall with the wheel-chair in one side.

We stood up as he approached.

Once he saw the wheel-chair his face changed and when we bid him good-bye, he just nodded.

Once we turned towards the entrance he slouched on the sofa tiredly.

"Shree," Sakshi waved a piece of cloth before my face then she stuffed it into my hand.

It was familiar to me. I've seen this pattern somewhere lately,' I thought.

"Your camera," she said as I opened my hand.

"What's this," I took the piece of cloth with a shirt button in it, along with my camera.

"I didn't know how to remove the thing from the pocket," she said and shrugged.

"It's as simple as this. See, just press the clip under the camera and remove-"

I demonstrated.

"But I can't go back there again to replace his pocket,"

She said with a whimper.

Wargade was still sitting on the sofa when the girls moved towards the entrance.

"See Oga, as I said I'm going with them. Give him space. He needs to think..."

The voice trailed off.

Turn Around!

Epilogue:

Sakshi came in with a tray. She saw that we were standing near the window and approached us.

She gave me the tray and took a cup. She extended it to Chottu, once gave it to him she shook her hand before his face to show her bangles.

Took a cup and handed it to Ayesha and tucked her hair behind her ears and showed her ear studs.

Then she took the tray from me and gave me a cup and smile.

She took her cup in hand and waved once again to flaunt her accessories.

"What do you think Chottu, the punishment for cheating is?"

I started as Sakshi sipped the coffee.

She gulped it quickly and said, "It's not cheating!"

"Then?"

"It's just- just, well... part of the game!"

"Do you really think, Sakshi, taking a house from a relative by persuading him that there is a devil in that house is a game?"

"What?"

"Wargade," I shrugged.

"What did you think Sakshi?"

Ayesha asked her seriously.

"I wanted to say, 'it's more than cheating!' " she said with a grin and sighed in relief.

"Do you think he might have decided by this?"

"He should have! After the devils gave him all the lectures and pointed out every possibility."

Arjun came in and approached us.

"What's up, guys?"

"Good morning, sir!"

"Morning!"

Sakshi turned to him and said, "Good morning Arjun," as she tucked her hair behind her ear.

He smiled at her knowingly.

Ayesha and I looked at each other and smiled as though to say he was smiling often lately.

Chottu's phone rang.

"Excuse me!"

He went to a corner and attended the call.

"Sir, we were talking about Wargade!"

"What'll he be doing now?"

"He must be vacating the house now," he said.

Sakshi lifted a collar at him and smiled cheerfully.

"He has to. After the treatment we've given him," I looked at Ayesha and smiled, "He has no choice, but to surrender. After all he had a whole night to think without the disturbance of the devils!"

"No, he had decided it long before our departure!"

"That's what I'm saying. After the evening episode, he had started to obey Sakshi, obediently. Devil's reign!"

"He didn't obey her in fear, but he wanted the girls to know that he had made his mind about the house and when he tried to talk about it with my family the devil' intruded and threatened him without knowing his mind, when it was the theme that a devil should read minds. It's ok, it happens, when a duplicate devil tries to fulfill a real one. A duplicate is still a duplicate after all!"

"But still he could have changed his mind and might call us for selling the house!"

I asked as watching Sakshi.

"I don't think so, if he had doubted his mind a minute he would have come to the entrance to send us off. But he didn't. You know how he reacted for our farewell!"

All this time he did not know one cute flash back that happened before his arrival.

Chottu turned toward us and approached. He was full of glitters.

He said gleefully, "We've won! Wargade is going to vacate the house and give it back to the victim soon. My friend called me to share the news!"

Now the flash back!

I saw Sakshi and Chottu were standing near the window. As I approached and wished a Good Morning!' ,the topic changed to Wargade.

Sakshi said, "I won't be surprised if we find him still on the sofa as was we lost saw him!"

"You think he would give the house back?"

Chottu asked her.

"He has to! After the treatment," she saw Ayesha as Ayesha approached us," We've given him he has no choice but to surrender! After the evening episode he had started obeying me! Devil's reign! And if he still calls us to sell the house, just one more visit to the house would give him the chance to think again," She said confidently.

"I'm ready. I adore mustaches now," Chottu said with a grin.

"We two would be enough this time," she motioned towards Ayesha.

Flash back -ends-

Back to the previous scene:

"So we can use this drama in the future too!"

"No matter whether the cheater uses the devil thing or not!"

"If we've to use the devil thing again we've to consider one devil seriously since devils are dangerous at times," Arjun said as looking at Sakshi significantly.

She kicked the floor and moved away with grim face.

She went to a chair and sat heavily.

Arjun continued, "See, once we said we would consider it, the devil is grinning," he said as seeing the place where Sakshi was standing before moving away.

We smiled at that.

Sakshi turned toward us hearing this and grinned cheerfully with twinkles in her eyes and I said, "And now the devil is grinning from the chair, sir!"

We all laughed as Sakshi went flying to get Arjun's tea.
