Intro-

If our favorite characters make us smile we'd start loving them.

A sample:

"Sorry sir! I've opened the shop today just for your sake. You said it wouldn't take more than ten minutes in the phone. See, when you bought the thing I wasn't in the shop and you don't have the bill with you. The shop boy is not available today-"

To make him stop Arjun said, "I think this one will do!" he chose one and placed it against the mirror on the table.

He imagined Chottu with it and shook his head yet again.

The man standing on the other side of the table sighed tiredly.

"Sir, if you please come tomorrow it ll be easier for us to choose when the boy presents, I'll close-"

"Arjun! What are you doing here nearly for an hour now?"

Arjun literally jerked at Sakshi's voice.

"It's all most over!" he said to calm her.

But the shop man turned to her vigorously.

"No ma'am, he is searching for a mustache he bought three days back and he has no bill, no number of the thing, but-"

"Let me see!"

She leaned forward and chose one from the box, which was the next piece in the row Arjun chose the last.

"This one!"

The man sighed in relief this time and moved to prepare a bill.

Sakshi turned to Arjun.

He said, "As I said it was all most over! I could have chosen it at the next try!"

He whispered after once confirming that the man was out of ear shot, for he had tried it twice in the last hour.

Back in the car, "How could you remember the thing, clearly?" he asked casually.

"Why, I was the one who chose it as I thought it'd go with-" she was about to say' with you!', but Arjun cut her in.

"Why didn't you say that before?"His tone changed then.

"Since, you didn't ask me before!"

She said simply with a frown.

One could easily see the smirk in the corner of her eyes as she was watching his uneasiness.

Turn Around!

Part-1:

"I'm going sir!"

Chottu started.

"I've checked it, sir! There is no clue that he has done it!" I said.

"I inquired her sir! She accepted to give us the receipt!" Ayesha said.

Even Sakshi was not giving him her usual smile, let alone talking.

He thought, the news he was going to share would cheer them up for sure.

He started, "where can we go for the two days vacation, guys?"

To his surprise, he was smiling as he opened the news.

I said immediately, "I've to check some data, sir!" as I got to my feet wearily.

"Can you give me your pen, please?" Ayesha asked Sakshi.

"Sir, I think, I can't come!"

At least Chottu replied him to console him.

Sakshi seemed undecided whether to give Ayesha the pen and looked feebly at Arjun.

Ayesha stood up, leaned over the table and plucked the pen from Sakshi.

He said at last, "Right, guys! We are going!"

It was as simple a sentence as a plain table cloth, but it painted a rainbow on everyone's face in a split second.

Everyone looked his face with pride.

The smile had come back in her lips!

The dignity had come back in his manners!

The concern had come back in her eyes!

The trust had come back in his looks!

He looked every single face around him and smiled.

"Devils!" he commented softly.

"That's it. That's the idea!"

Chottu shouted unknowingly out of excitation.

We started planning everything for the two days vacation, we were going to- officially (!?)

Part-2:

Quite obviously we need a flashback here and -

No! You don't have to scream more, here is one!

Flash back:

"Men are becoming devils, Shree!" Chottu started.

He entered into the conference room and took his seat.

"What happened?" I put my glasses down on the table before me and leaned back in my chair.

"It came to me through a friend that one fellow has cheated his relative over a property. First he has said that he would help him sale the house and got power of attorney then persuaded him to transfer the property to his name. Suddenly he came back one day with police that he was the owner of the house and this now old owner' had to vacate at once. Now the victim is in a rented house with his family. How cunning!"

"How sad! He didn't get his money for the house after all!"

"If I were him I would have-"

"Chottu, no, if you were him then this fellow wouldn't have gotten the idea of cheating in the first place!"

I playfully motioned his muscles.

He grinned at me as Ayesha and Sakshi entered in.

"What's so big, Shree?" Ayesha asked me.

"Chottu was telling a big story-"

"Cheating story!" Chottu corrected me.

"Yes! It came to him through a friend...and I said' No if you were him...'"

At this point Arjun came in and asked," What's going on guys? What Shree?"

He asked seeing my expressions.

I had no choice, but to recite the whole scene yet again.

"It came to him through a friend...and Ayesha asked, what's so big, Shree?-"

"Ok, ok! You've prepared well, we admit! If you guys are ready we can go back to work!-"

Arjun cut in, in time and tried to get us back in form.

But Chottu interrupted him and said, "No sir! You've not heard the whole story!"

Arjun looked me dubiously.

"No, sir! I've told everything-"

"No, sir! I haven't told the whole story yet!"

Chottu talked in between.

"Hear me out guys and you sir!"

He convened our minds to him dramatically and said, "The victim told my friend that, first of all the victim was in no need for money. They felt something different in the house lately and while thinking back, it was all a set up!"

"Which one?" We asked him as he expected, except Arjun.

"The DEVIL thing!"

He widened his eyes and opened the matter slowly.

"What non sense!"-Arjun.

"What happened?"- Ayesha.

"Wait, he is coming there!"- I.

"Oh, let him speak guys!"- Sakshi.

"They believed there was devil's movement in the house!"- Chottu.

Turn Around!

Part-3:

Still we are in the flash back-

Chottu started," The victim said, after this relative came to visit him one day after a long time, it all started. He started cheating them that things were moving by themselves and so on. When the victim's daughter got sick, all of a sudden he was helpless and tried everything. But she got no improvement on the health issue.

"Then this fellow has started persuading him that the house was the reason for all this and it'd give them a chance to relax, if they vacate the house temporarily. Then slowly he started that it'd be better to sale it out at once, before things got out of hand, once the relative saw that he wasn't ready to vacate the house. Now he is feeling guilty that he was ready to sale the house even when he knew there was a devil, which is now proved to be a set up, but he had to see his daughter!"

"I see! Can't he sue him for this?"

Arjun asked once Chottu finished his suspenseful and cheating story'!

"No sir! He has signed the bonds and done this on his own will. They've registered it with witnesses present, and all!"

"Still-"

"No sir! He has already asked a lawyer and was informed that it was nearly impossible to win the case that in that bond that fellow had included a line that said he was getting the property for the loan the victim had brought when he couldn't pay him back!"

"He was clever!" Ayesha commented.

"Clever?- bad," I said angrily.

"Bad or not he is clever!" Arjun said thoughtfully.

"What? Are you supporting him?" Sakshi asked him right away.

"I'm not! But what can we do here when the law itself is against him?"

"If we won't do him anything then who will?"

"First we need proof that he has cheated him right?"

His tone hardened and showed his helplessness too.

"If we can't do anything by the law-"

"We can still think to help him by fair play or foul play!"

"What if we cheat him with the same devil thing?"

"We need devils for that?"

"We have already two before us! And one is aiming something on me-Oh- Ouch!-"

It was Ayesha and it was Sakshi's pen which hit me on the nose.

Before it hit the table Sakshi caught it in midway.

Chottu signaled us to see at once Arjun's calm face (?!)

But none cared.

"Ayesha! It's my pen!" Sakshi threatened her.

"So you admit yourself a devil then?" Ayesha returned.

"A d-"

"Stop it!"

Arjun cut in.

"But sir she-", "But sir he-", "Arjun it's my-", everybody started to complain in unison and turned to Arjun, in uni...

Once saw his ruddy face, we forgot the matter at once.

"Sorry!"- We muttered quietly.

"Right, Guys! Pack it up! Let's see what we have here?"

He took a file from the table.

"Chottu you've to check this guy!" he reminded Chottu!

-Flash back ends here-

~

"Right, Mr. Wargade, we've to see the house."

"With pleasure sir! Any time, I'll be available for you! When can you come?"

"Well, we are buying this house for my parents! And they've to okay it. Do one thing, we can arrange the visiting this Saturday- Oh, I forgot to tell you my mother is a paralysis patient and we can't shift her suddenly from places. We'll stay at the hotel. I like the place very much and I felt quite comfortable, when I visited it last week!" he added.

"Why should you to go to a hotel? The house is there, you can stay there and I'll be there for help you with things. Just tell me when you'll come?"

"If that's the case, we can arrange it this Saturday and Sunday. And, sorry for the inconvenience Mr. Wargade."

"Don't be, sir! You are always welcome!"

"Then see you there in the house!"

"I'll be waiting for you!"
