My K-V are never in danger! Not that they are superhuman... it's just that they are extremely sharp and calculative! Once they did a mistake... it gave them a lifetime lesson... I'll tell that later! 😉

But even Kappy gets messages right?

Like when Verma jumped off the cliff then Kappy got a message - wohi rishta between u and ur BST buses.

ANd Kappy is the more intellectual one... understands situation...

And the two have strong intuition powers...

Hence each understands and gets to know of the other's prob...

Aha! Now I see what u r saying... yup I agree with that... it shouldn't be that cuz u love me I should love u too... He should fall in love and not be forced into love... a realisation not a duty!!! Cool anyways... thanks for that... cuz then I will try to keep the same thing here in the story too...

CHAPTER 13

Arjun entered to just see Sakshi's lifestyle... why cause by now he was convinced about one thing... he knows one thing about Sakshi - that is nothing... if a girl could se effectively hide her tears there might be so many things contradictory about her life and her living...

With that thought in his mind he went to her bedroom... and his mind stood numb... he should have expected so... but so much of emptiness... it pricked him... there was merely a small bed but it was was messed up, that too because of the bags thrown on it, her room was barely furnished...just a bed, small table, lamp! His cop mind kicked in and he checked her bed... he knew it was her bedroom by the stack of bangles kept roughly in a bag beside.

Once he checked the bed, the pillows were untouched... he removed the blanket... the bed was untouched... his thinking was right... it looked like as if no one slept here ever... in fact it showed that she never slept...like him

No photos... nothing of Sakshi in the room... just various suits and scarves...

"Kya yeh ladki kabhi bhi sach main khushi hui hai?" he ended up asking himself...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Sakshi never liked sympathy - rather she hated it...

She would have kicked Arjun straight out of the door if he tried to say any sympathetic view about her brother... but she knew him far too well

The last thing he would do is show any fake kindness...

The minute he stepped in she knew it was curiosity that got better than him... she was anyways too tired to tell him anything...

And he was too sensitive to ask her anything...

Maybe that's why she felt something for him...

His pain gave her a reason to make him smile... she would forget her own worries... she almost started a self therapy... as she tried to give him reasons to smile... she found reasons to not cry any further...

Somehow in an attempt to heal him... she was healing herself...

Then she looked at her bro's photo and shuddered at the memory...

She so wished she never saw him in that state..

She so wished that the people with him were capable enough to protect him...

She so wished she never saw him being tortured alive...

She so wished her brother's allies could do something to save him...

She wanted to hate them... but couldn't... especially that one person... cause instead of saving her bhai... that person saved her...

"Kuch toh choot raha hai... ek ladki itni tooti hui at the same moment itni khush aur yeh rang birangi kapde...kuch toh choot raha hai..." he mumbled

when he suddenly realized it had been close to half an hour but he had not heard Sakshi... he rushed out to see her standing infront of Samrat sir's photo...

Gently touching her shoulder he called "Sakshi?"

"Huh Arjun... oh ek minute tum kabse yaha aaye ho, main abhi tumhare liye chai banaati hoon" she quickly wiped her tears and started the preparations of making tea when she felt a warm hand clasp over hers...

The minute Arjun saw her wiping her tears he realized that she was closing herself up... and that was the last thing he wanted...why? he didn't know but right now he knew one thing... how much one needs to be talked to in such a situation..

"Sakshi, yeh sab chodo... mujhe chai nahi chahiye..." Arjun said softly

"Nahi chahiye...oh... shayad tumhe bhook lagi hogi, main kuch biscuits laati hoon" saying so she ducked down trying to find a packet of biscuits for him.

Arjun thought that he would give her a good sys session for this pretense... but looking at her lost state he instead slowly pulled her up immediately but felt haunted by the look in her eyes...

It was the same look he had after he lost Roshni...

He couldn't let anyone fall into that miserable feeling again...

That's why he would any day prefer Sam to blame him rather than start blaming himself... Arjun was used to this pain now... he became numb to the pain after some time... but after seeing Sakshi in this state he felt his wounds re-opening... he started feeling all over again...

He knew that she wanted justice.. how, where, when.. these questions can rest... just looked at her and asked one thing "Kiske wajeh se yeh hua? Tumhari baaki family..."

Sakshi looked at him and mumbled "Maa mere janam ke kuch saal baad chali gayi... papa zinda hai - par comatose (Arjun's eyes widened in shock - Anand sir... alive?) ... mummum, meri bhabi mar gayi... ashi bhi nahi rahi... bahi narcotics..." he could hear her voice cracking... he couldn't let her say anything more... it would be like running a knife on old wounds...

He just cupped her face and said "Ssh... mujhe aur kuch nahi jaana... mujhe bas yeh pata hai ke aaj agar woh hote... toh tumpe naaz hota... mere jaise apne aap ko toda nahi balki sab ke hasne ki wajah tum ho... Samrat sir would be so proud of you..."

She hugged him tight... a feeling shot up his spine, again.. he tried to cajole her but she was not leaving him... he slowly let go of his barriers and hugged Sakshi back, closing his eyes as she buried her face in the crook of his neck, while he taking in her soothing fragrance...

People might think that at this time he would have attacked her with questions and try to understand her past being a cop... but he knew far better, he was a human at the end of the day... to just allow her to grieve rather than relive those horrific nightmare... whatever it might have been... anyways he had heard enough for today...

Slowly her arms wound around his neck & his arms around her waist, as if this was natural... surprisingly their hearts beating in the same rhythm, unknown to them...after some time, realizing her situation she slightly moved but he tightened his grip around her...he wanted her to stay...

why? he still didn't have an answer... he just wanted her to stay, he wasn't sympathizing with her...he was just giving what he wanted at his time of loss...neither did she want him to leave... she slowly started dazing off...

For the first time Arjun realised how much pain another person can have...

He lost his wife... his Roshni...

She lost her mother... her brother... her bhabi... and ashi... maybe her sister... also her father was living... but as good as a living corpse...

He couldn't recuperate from one death... she had nothing more left to loose...

Maybe that is what strengthened her... that is what should strengthen him too..

Maybe for the first time he was so close to someone else... maybe for the first time she too was so close to someone else...

"Shakal ko dekh ke akal ka anadaza lagaogi toh hamesha ghalt rahogi" this remark taunted him...

He was Arjun Rawte... a tortured man in the open... and she was an Arjun Rawte in disguise... if only he could understand better...

He turned to see Sakshi's loose body on him... she drifted into sleep in his arms... "kitne saal se yeh akeli hai" his mind thought

He slowly carried her to a couch and throughout the night they were in each others arms... the sound of each other's breathing lulled them to sleep...

Maybe for the first time they slept after years of nightmares

Dhundhla jaayein jo manzilein

Ik pal ko tu nazar jhuka

Jhuk jaaye sar jahan wahin

Milta hai rab ka raasta

Teri kismat tu badal de

Rakh himmat bas chal de

Tere saathi mere kadmon ke hain nishaan

5 minutes before, conference hall

"Ayesha is meeting ke baad kya tum mujhe building ke bahar miloge?" Sameer asked

"Hmm.." Ayesha nodded

Outside the building, after the meeting

"Ayesha... mera transfer ho gaya hai... main Delhi jaa raha hoon" Sameer said quietly, he was almost at the verge of breaking down.

Ayesha felt as if she was stabbed again straight at the heart "Abhi toh suna... par asliyat kya hai...actually aap kyun jaa rahe hai?"

He looked at her in amazement... her sharpness...

"Damn it! Woh DIG sir ne abhi bataaya that the ETF Chief of Delhi has failed in a certain undercover mission... isliye unki jagah ab mujhe waha jaana padega." Sameer said.

"Kya.. aap... aap woh mission koh complete karenge?" Ayesha asked... just knowing the death of the chief in Delhi didn't give her the best feeling right now.

"Pata nahi Ayesha... main waha jaake dekhloonga... par ek baat pata hai mujhe... jo mujhko bohot pehle hi kehna chahiye tha, par waqt ka khel dekho... jab tumko bataane ki himmat aayi, toh mujhe tumse judaa..."

"I love you too Sameer, aap kabhi humse judaa nahi honge... wherever you will be, main hamesha aapki paas rahoongi, bas ap mud ke dekhlo, Ayesha tumhari thi, tumhari ..." Ayesha cut in but before she could complete Sameer pulled her close and rested his forehead against hers

"meri ho aur meri hi rahogi... main 6 mahine main waapas aa javunga kuch din ke liye... kya tab main tum mujhe ijaazat dogi tumhe poori tarha se apna ne ke liye?" Sameer asked

" aap seedhe seedhe will you marry me nahi keh sakte kya!" Ayesha chuckled

"woh.. woh..damn it!" Sameer fumbled

"maine kaha na, main abhi se aapki hoon... tab shaayad sirf jo reeti riwaaz nibhana hai, wahi hoga, warna abse tumhare paas saare haq hai jitna humaari shaadi ke baad hoga." Ayesha smiled looking at Sameer's face.

"Waise Sameer, I love you bolne ka plan hai ki nahi?" Ayesha asked plyafully

Sameer hugged her tight and said "Damn it! (his mind spoke at his obvious slip) I love you Ayesha, I love you, par tumhe chod jaane ka darr hai mujhe ... pataa nahi kyun darr hain ke shayaad waapas na aaon... agar main maar..." Ayesha placed her palm over his mouth...

"Aisa kabhi nahi hoga Sameer, jab tak main theek hoon tumhe kuch nahi hoga" She softly kissed his cheek

"Toh teri muraad poori, mar ja tu" a gruff voice said from behind, and before Sameer could comprehend 6 bullets rammed into Ayesha, killing her instantly... her blood oozing out, staining his shirt, her eyes wide in shock...

"AYESHA!" Sameer led out an ear piercing scream.
