CHAPTER 14

"AYESHA!" Sameer led out an ear piercing scream.

Her blooded body slipped from his hold and he blacked out...

Sameer fell down from his bed, sweating profusely in spite of the AC switched on, continuous tears were pouring out of from his eyes... he was shaking...

He turned around to see he was in his bedroom, sitting on the floor "Hey Bhagvan, bas sapna tha... bas sapna tha..."

The clock showed that it's 3:30 A.M.

Someone knocked on the door, Sameer was about to take his gun when he heard Shree speak "Sir aap theek hai... main aaon?" Shree knocked again, this was 5th time in a row that he heard Sameer sir shouting at early morning.

Without hearing an answer Shree walked in, with a glass of water and gave it to a visibly disturbed Sameer.

Sameer gulped down the entire contents and passed the glass to Shree "Thanks Shree."

"Anytime Sir..."Shree said and paused for a moment, in case Sameer wants something...

"Shree.."

"Yes, Sir?"

"Shree, ek kaam karo... Ayesha ke phone par tab rakho... track all her movements... mujhe darr hain ke kuch hoga...Damn it! I am sure something will go wrong..." Sameer spoke

"Fine Sir." Shree spoke, he was just about to leave when Sameer again spoke

"Liza ka bhi..."

"Yes Sir." Shree spoke, when Sameer said

"Infact.."

"Poori team mere nazron ke neeche rahega Sir, aap nishchint hoke so jaaye, good night sir... ek baat kehta hu sir... aap Ayesha se baat kar lijiye... don't mind the time... par baat kar lijiye... mann ko sukoon milega..."saying so Shree left.

"Shree is right... ek baar Ayesha se baat kar loon, toh behtar hoga..." Sameer reached his phone and called Ayesha, looking at their photo by his bedside table, Sakshi clicked it secretly!

It has been 5 months since both Sameer and Shree left ETF Mumbai and joined ETF Delhi...Yes, he had proposed to Ayesha and she accepted it... but in his dreams it always ended up... forget it!...later that day Sakshi didn't come knowing that Ayesha was with him! "Yeh Sakshi bhi na!" he smiled,

He then recalled the actual day he proposed her...

"Sakshi... iski kya zaroorat hai, maine already office main propose kiya na."

For the past one hour Sameer was rubbishing Sakshi's idea of proposing idea-

"ek baar keh dia, usne bhi haa kaha... ab unke mummy papa se baath karoonga aur phir mangni, tab office main sabko call karke bata doonga... waise bhi meri flight keliye abhi sirf chaar ghante bache hai, Ayesha ne packing main help kar di - yeh to hum dono main understanding bhi dikha tha hai, aur kya chahiye!"

"Sam bhai - aap kya ho, sach main koi bhi din may Arjun tumse better hai! Arrey ladta hain hamesha par yaar baat toh hamesha hota hai, kya intense lookes bhi deta hai... haye! Aur tum! Fattu the great!" sakshi ranted.

Just then Sakshi's phone rang - s my s frm sys!

"Yeh kaun hai?" Sameer asked puzzled at this random name

"Woh Save My Soul from Samjhe Ya Samjhaaun. Shoot kyun abhi hi call karna tha, by mistake iske baare mai koi tareef kardoon toh yeh tab hi mujhe yakeen dilaata hain ke kitna akdu aur..."

( she recalled yesterday's incident... where Arjun cared for her like a baby, she turned slightly red )

"chalo main phone pick up karti hoon, abhi kahega... Sakshi, kya main tumhe tumhara caller tune sunne ke liye call karta hoon? Why don't you pick up the damn phone?" she said imitating Arjun's look

Sameer was laughing at her, God how much he'll miss his l'il sis... but he didn't miss the sudden blush.. it was for a split second but yes... he saw it, "kuch toh hua hai", he hid his chuckle and observed the call.. it went like this... Sakshi put the the phone on speaker.

S: Arj...

A: Sakshi... tum theek toh ho na? (Sam went round eyed by his concern)

S: Haa.. Arjun! In fact main toh...

A: So Miss. Sakshi Anand.. kya main tumhe tumhara caller tune sunne ke liye call karta hoon? Why don't you pick up the damn phone?

S: (rolled her eyes to Sameer with the 'I told ya' look and Sameer smiled at the way Sakshi knew him in and out)

Woh... actually main abhi pick up karne walli thi... but u see Sam bhai got confused... so in explaining to him tumhara call pick up thoda late hua!

A: Tum S.. Rathore ke waha ho? Aur aisa kya keh diya ke Rathore confse tha?

S: Woh tumhara naam.. meri phone pe samaj nahi aaya... voh s my s frm sys hai na!

(She blurted out, then quickly covered her mouth... and Sam looked at her with an unbelievable look)

A: Sakshi... WHAT does that mean???

S: Umm.. kuch nahi Arjun.. woh tum.. tum ..main Sam bhai ke ghar main hoon...

A: Uska flight niklega chaar ghante ke baad... tum gayi ho toh bechari Ayesha ne jo thodi bhi madat ki thi tumhare wajeh se sab ulat pulat ho jaayega... aur mujhe pata bhi nahi tha ki Rathore bhi apna flight miss karne main itna dilchasbi rakha hai

( Sam became open mouthed when Arjun mentioned Ayesha... so adding fire Sakshi said)

S: Hey..tumhe kaise pata hai ki Ayesha aayi thi?

A: Main Rathore ke tarha in maamlon main duffer nahi hoon - aur Ayesha smart bhi lagti hai - I am sure ke woh Rathore ke ghar jaayegi...

S: Acha...good observation Arjun! Waise Sam bhai ka flight kyun miss hoga?

A: Tum uski ghar gaye ho... late toh definitely hoga... aur main jitna jaanta hoon tumhe...

S: Kya tum mujhe wakayi jaante ho Arjun.. (she asked softly)

A: Kya tumne mujhe jaane diya?... tumne..( he too was speaking softly which shocked Sam but not Sakshi... she knows how he is;) )

main keh raha tha ki tum bahar se kaisi ho yeh mujhe pata hai... ( he suddenly composes himself ) ki right now tum shayad Rathore ko Ayesha ko ek official proposal ke liya mana rahe ho par woh manna kar raha hai - as usual...

(Sakshi and Sameer were looking at the phone round eyed )

A: Aur aise aankhein phaad ke phone ko kya dekh rahi ho? Sahi kaha na... aur agar speaker pe phone na rakh ke agar normal voice pe jao toh behtar hoga... woh kya hai na AC ke awaaz aa rahi hai aur tumhari voice thori distant hai... toh ab yeh baat samjhe ya samjhaaun?

(Sakshi immediately tells Sameer to switch off the AC)

A: Sakshi AC band karne ke koshish bhi mat karo... pata hai yeh hi karogi... chalo ab tumse baat karne main koi faida nahi hai...

S: Nahi nahi main sun rahi hoon (she immediately keeps her phone to normal then goes to the corner and speaks.. rather fights a bit then says bye and keeps the phone)

Sameer was looking at this in an amusing manner... Arjun ne aise hi call kiya... aur usse yaad tha ki uska flight jayega... aur woh Sakshi ko kitna jaanta hai! Woh khud kiss chakkar main jaa gaya ki usse pata nahi...

Sakshi came back looking apologetically at Sameer " Sam bhai... sorry for that... anyways bhai ab Arjun bhi keh raha hai.. propose kar hi lo... sade teen ghante baaki hai... isse romantic aur acha baat nahi ho sakta! Ab Arjun ne bhi haan keh diya!" she said

"Well... dekhta hoon... par yeh kya Arjun Arjun lagayi rakhi ho? Mere maa hai kya?" Sam smirked back

"Nahi par ex ho sakta hai!" Sakshi looked at him laughing "Arrey bhadakne se pehle dekho... humesha tum dono ki chemistry garma garam... dono ki figure bhi jhakaas...AAH!" sakshi screamed cause now Sam was twisting her ear hard!

"Sam bhai maaf kardo! please please... puhleeezzze!" Sakshi begged

"Hmm toh Miss Shaitan... sunna tumhari baaton ko... fine idea mila... par tumhe kuch nahi bataunga... ab nikal!" he said

Sakshi was about to leave but she came back hugging him tightly...

"Woh kal nahi aayi pack up main help karne main cause Ayesha thi na... par haan tumhare liye ek gift hai... achcha lagega!" she kissed him on the cheek an ran away saying bye

Sam felt as if he was elated... one side the love of his life and the other his sweetu sis!

He opened the gift to see a Samyesha pic (the one above)

From the hall Sakshi spoke "ab Majnu banke mat haso... jaoo ... meri Ayesha bestie ko agar bhabisa na banaya toh tumhari haalat kya hogi yeh baat samjhe ya...?" she laughed

Something clicked in Sam

"Tum Rawte se pyaar karti ho?" he asked back

Sakshi stood numb... but immediately smiled back... "haan ab baat samaj main aayi ke tum sach main pyaar main par gaye - duniya main doh universal fact hai - ek ke tum fattu ho aur do - jab koi khud pyaar main girta hain toh aisa lagta hain ki sab log pyaar main gir gaye... Sam bhai main tumhaari tarha "girri" hui nahi hoon! Chalo... bye!!!"

she ran off..

"Tum pyaar main ho issliye tumhe mera aur Ayesha ki pyaar ko samaj paayi... waise ab ke liye I'll let that rest for now... Ayesha... main aaya!" Saying so he took his packed up bags and lovingly kissed the handles and drove to Ayesha's house...

" Chalo ab time to show asli Majnu giri, laath toh nahi maregi na!" Sameer thought

Sam went two steps in front "Pakka, agar tu usse gaal pe kiss kiya toh straight teri naak ko tod degi..."

He went three steps back "Arrey kal hi itni soft proposal hui... gaal pe kya... direct kiss karle kuch nahi hoga.. btw she kissed ur cheek yesterday na?"

He thought and went two steps in front " Yaar... she can kiss u jab woh chahti ho... tu karega toh beta... sooli pe chadha degi!"

He again went two steps behind then he remembered Sakshi's "universal truth" about him which only exists in earth.

"Main aur fattu... ab main javunga.. Majnu nahi Mirza banke!" he was just about to knock the door but stopped seeing a message on his phone...

Ayesha was crying here... ya AYESHA - CRYING!

But what to do, love has evoked out all the girlish feeling'...

"Ayeshu... what are you doing? Itni ro kyun rahi hai? He's only going for 6 months... koi army join nahi kar lia? And you are matured... get ready you have to drop him at airport! C'mon three hours left before he leaves for airport!" She spoke to herself standing at her balcony and holding a cushion

"But I miss him... god ye kya ho raha hai? I miss him... I mean ring wala proposal bhi nahi hua! And I can't say bye... I suck at good byes... ek ring ho ta toh at least uss ring ko kiss karke I could feel him" she pouted, YES AYESHA POUTING!

"Toh ring giver ko kiss karlo na?" a voice came from the rim of balcony and before she knew a familiar hand gripped her nape and her lips were sealed with his...

he was just about to knock the door but stopped seeing a message on his phone...

" Sorry Samer main nahi aa sakti... woh mujhe bukhaar aaya..."

"Ayesha ko bukhar... oh phir main usse disturb nahi karta..." sam said innocently and sighed at the ring and red rose... maybe next time

Just then Sakshi called (thank god) "Sam bhai... bhabisa kya kahi?" she said excitedly

"Arrey Sakshi, Ayesha is not feeling well na... toh she won't be able to come... main usse phone pe hi baat kar loonga... agar main javunga toh shayad woh better feel na kare." Sam explained like an obedient student

On the other hand Sakshi was with a call with Arjun on skype as she had some reports to show as she couldn't tell them on phone- you know phone gets tapped ... and Arjun heard what Sam had said...

Sakshi banged her head on the wall... Arjun flopped his head on his hands "Iska kuch nahi hoga!" he grumbled and Sakshi signaled him to shut up!

"Sam bhai... tum kya apni naani se milne jaa rahe ho!" she said in the "most sweetest" voice possible!

Sameer's side

"Nahi toh..." barelt he left those words

"TOH TUM YE FREE MAIN KYA GADHAPAN DIKHA RAHE HO MERE BHAI... SHE IS MISSING YOU... ARREY BURJ KHALIFA JAA KAR BALCONY SE KOOD JAO!" she barked from the other side

"Arrey... yeh to bomb blast ho gayi! Tum ladkiyaan seedhi baat kyun nahi karte?" he said forgetting he said the words loud!

"KYAAA" sakshi barked from the other side

"Bas Sakshi... ab dekhna... Ayesha ko kaise pata ta hu... agar airport main pink na choda to mera naam Sameer Damsingh Rathore nahi!" he said proudly

"Ha ha theek hai.. mai aati hoon airport pe! Mere paas bohot saare alag naam stand by pe hai! Yeh baat samjhe ya...?" she said

"Sakshi... tum aaj kal Rawte sa zyaada sys deti ho! Chakkkar kya hai?" he inquired

"Bhabisa ko laate ho ki nahi?" she flared back

"Haan meri maa!" he pleaded

"Good boy... see u and bhabisa at airport!" she cut the phone..

"Balcony huh... waise idea utna bura nahi hai!" Sameer smirked

"Ayesha meri laila mat ro... tumhara Majnu aa raha hai" he groomed his mustache and went ahead.

On the other side

"Wow... Sam pe kya gussa nikaal diya... aise gusse main woh toh koi 80 year old ko bhi propose kar de!" Arjun grinned

"Ab tum kyun has rahe ho Arjun... these are all the reports... aur kuch?" she asked back

"Oh toh madam ka gussa abhi tak hai!"

"Toh Sakshi tum Rathore pe itni gusssa... matlab kaise?" he asked

"AS IF u don't know... fattu kahika... mera bhai aur aise fattu giri... agar main Sam bhai ke jagah hota toh by now mere do bachche bhi ho jaate!" she said

"Chill Sakshi... case pe concentrate kare?" Arjun said

"Tumne hi toh poocha... ab batao jisse tum pyaar karte ho... the day u're lea.."

"Sab sunna maine Sakshi... pata nahi iska kya hoga!" Arjun agreed

"Waise... sys matlab samjhe ya samjhaaun hai na?" he said

"Haa, toh?" she replied

"Toh mera naam on ur phone..."

"Arrey Arjun chodo na... kuch der baad airport jaana hai.. aur case ke baare main baat kare?" she said

"Congratulation Miss Sakshi..." he started

"Anand, tumhe pata bhi hai ke hum case ke baare main baat bhi karte hai!" she cut in

"Yehi bolne waale the na?" she replied

He just looked at her, with a faint smile...

Sameer climbed up on the balcony - (why did she live on the 10th floor, academy ke din yaad aa gaye!) to see her crying and pouting on the other side of the balcony when his ears picked up on the words "kiss"...

"Sach main Sakshi, iske baad agar tumne mujhe fattu kaha toh main mana nahi karoonga... toh Mrs. Ayesha Rathore ko yeh sickness hai... love sick!" he smiled and suddenly he said aloud

"Toh ring giver ko kiss karlo na?", Ayesha stared at him as if he was a ghost and looking at her lost state and pout he just put a hand on her nape and pulled her closer and kissed her.

They parted after some time and Sameer came in

"Tu... tum.. tum balcony se aaye?" she looked on, shocked would be an understatement

"Kyun aaye, waapas jayo!" she said

Then Sameer nodded and started going back on the balcony

"Kaha jaa rahe ho?" she asked

"Abhi toh kaha waapas jao!" he said imitating her

Ayesha turned red... "So aapko yeh sickness thi huh?" Sameer grinned

Ayesha looked down "Ayeshu beti tu kya kar rahi hai?" but she felt shy.. c'mon, damn it! let her be shy ok!

He heard her mumbling damn it! He smiled widely...

He went down on his knee and took her hand gently into his...

"Sameer yeh sab.." Ayesha asked flustered...

"ki kya zaroorat hai? I want to propose you...aur haan tumhari sautan ki begair!" he chuckled

"Sautan!!!" Ayesha asked round eyed

"Haan, the word Damn It!" he winked

"So Miss. Ayesha Kapoor...

Tum kya ho yeh pata nahi...

Kabhi darrati ho toh kabhi hasaati ho ...

Kabhi tumse impressed... aur kabhi tumhare rash decisions ke liye stressed!

Tum bohot taakatwar ho... jo mujhe acha lagta hai

Abhi tak main shayad intezaar karta tha ki pyaar ho pyaar ho... par koi mila nahi...

tum police officer ho par andar hi andar chor nikli - mera dil le li...

And Ayesha I look up to you many a times...

Agar log mujhe jorru ka ghulam bhi kahi mujhe acha hi lagega...

Kyunki seva karna sirf patni ka kaam nahi hota

I love you Ayesha... I love you ...

Will you marry me?

Will you be my wife and change my life?

He held a velvet box in front with one of the most beautiful ring...

Tears sprang on her eyes... well she knows he loves her but proposal... with the most prettiest ring and rose... she didn't know what to say!

Sameer chuckled and said "To be Mrs. Rathore, yes I will bolne ka plan hai ki nahi!" taunting that at what she had said once!

"Nahi... tumhari maa ko batao ki uski bahu ko humesha ko yeh shocks na dete rahe!" she looked at him... sweetly annoyed!

"Don't worry... tumhari saas ko tumhari 'yeh' ji ke achcha intezaam hoga!" he said

He slowly stood up and glided the ring on the her beautiful finger...

he softly kissed her knuckles and before he could react she hugged him tight and kissed him mindlessly!

With that Sameer also cut the on going call... yeah he was going to propose and his l'il sis would miss it! Impossible!
