CHAPTER 8:

Slowly Arjun's senses were coming. So were his feelings. He could feel that he had been tied down to a pillar with ropes. He could hear the voices but couldn't make out the meaning. His eyelids were heavy. The back of his head was throbbing. Where was he? The memories came to him in a rush. He came here with Sakshi to take down Paban and Dhawan. But they set a trap for them. Sakshi!! He opened his eyes with great difficulty. Beside him in another pillar was Sakshi. She had no visible wound. She was awake. Though she was not looking at him. He followed her gaze. Not far from them was sitting Paban, Dhawan and another man. Arjun assumed he was Daddy Agnihuti. Wow full family is here! Nope. Mommy Agnihuti was still missing from the picture. Then he inspected the room. There were blood, hair, nails, human skin and in some places some white stuff. Arjun suspected it was part of human brain. He grimaced. He can only imagine what trauma Sakshi had to go through after seeing this. Seeing him awake Daddy Agnihuti spoke up.

Mr. Agnihuti: Are ACP sahib. Aapko hosh aa gya. Yaha dekhye Sakshi beta kitni tension mein pad gyi thi.

Sakshi turned to look at him. She gave him a once over and then nodded very little. Meaning she was also all right.

Then they turned their gaze to Agnihuti's.

Arjun: Aap koun hai?

Mr. Agnihuti: Paban aur Dhawan ke pita. Adheeraj Agnihuti.

Arjun: Aapko kaise pata ki haam yaha ane wale hai?

Mr. Agnihuti: Jab maine tickets book kya tabhi mujhe laga ki tumlog ek koushish to jarror karoge. But sirf tumdono akele avoge yeh nehi socha. Tumdono ko pata bhi hai ki tumlog kitne bewkuuf ho? Chale Agnihuti's se panga lene.

Dhawan got up from his chair.

Dhawan: Tune mere dad ko kutta bola?

Arjun: Sirf tere dad ko hi nehi tum teeno ko bola.

Dhawan was about to come but Paban stopped him and signaled him to sit. Dhawan sat but he was fuming in anger.

Mr. Agnihuti: Bilkul aapne father in law ki tarah baat karte ho tum.

Sakshi: Matlab? Aap jante the mere dad ko?

Mr. Agnihuti: Ha. Aur Shayla ko bhi janta tha. Dono hi bohot acce insaan the. Likin kya karo? Mere kheelaf ake khare ho gye. Bohot saboot bhi ekattha kar lya tha. Majburan mujhe undono ko iss dunya se beeda karna pada.

Sakshi's head was spinning.

Sakshi: Isska maatlab undono ka death koi accident nehi tha. It was a murder. Tumne mere mummy papa ko mujhse cheen lya.

She started crying. Arjun was feeling very bad for the poor girl.

Paban: Tu bilkul bhi tensio maat le. Kiyu ki bohot jald tumdono bhi unke paas ja rahe ho. Kya plan banya tha tere lye. Mumbai mein psycho rapist ka khawf daal dya. Business ke chakkar mein jana padta tha. Choon choon ke teri jaisi ladi dhhonda. Whose husband left them but didn't give divorce. But no iss Arjun ko ake mera plan kharab karna tha. Aab tu meri kisi kaam ki nehi hai. To socha dono ko eksaath uda dunga. Par woh kya hai ki tumlog thoda jaldi aa gye. Hamara kuch kaam baki hai. All three of them started laughing. Then they left the room. Sakshi was still crying.

Arjun: Sakshi please rona baandh karo. Please.

Sakshi: Itne saal mujhe laga ki undono ki mout ek hadsa hai. Aaj pata chala ki undono ko thande dimagse maar dya gya tha. Chodungi nehi uss Agnihuti ko mai.

Arjun: Shant ho jao. Main dekhta hoom.

He moved his hand with great difficulty and pulled out a pocket knife from his hip pocket. Luckily they didn't search him well. With great difficulty he cut the ropes of his hands. And then his legs. He stood for some time. Rubbing hands in order to make blood circulation. Then he cut Sakshi's bond.

Sakshi looked at him inquiringly.

Arjun: Yeh mere paas reh gya tha. Unlogone thikse search nehi kya. Aab chalo. Jakar police ko inform karte hai.

Sakshi was looking at him with weird expression. Arjun hold her and tugged gently.

Arjun: Chalo Sakshi.

Sakshi: Arjun aaj agar main tumse kuch mangu to mujhe doge?

Arjun: Kya?

Sakshi: Mar do salo ko.

Arjun looked at Sakshi. Her eyes were burning with rage. He thought for some time. Then he quietly took their revolver and phone. Then he went to the bomb kept aside. He slowly carefully kept it outside the room where Agnihuti's were working. Then he activated it. He took Sakshi's hand and ran outside. Luckily no one was there. All were busy in work. They just reached to their car when the bomb blasted. They were quite far away till they felt the impact.

They got in the car and Arjun drove it to home. In home they changed the dress and check each other's wound. Nothing serious.

Sakshi: Arjun tum naraj ho mujhse? Ek police officer hoke maine unn logo ko maar dala.

Arjun: Nehi Sakshi you needed this. Moreover they deserve it. Main tumse naraj nehi hoom.

Sakshi went to him and hid her face in his broad chest.

Sameer was sleeping when he heard a noise. Someone was knocking in the door. He frowned. He got up and went to the door. He opened it with caution. It was Shree, Chotu, Riya, Aisha and Liza.

Sameer: Kya baat hai guys?

Shree: Sir please aap tv on kijiye.

Sensing the urgency in his voice Sameer turned the tv on. The news of the bomb blast was showing.

Sameer: Dammit. Yeh kaise hua?

Chotu: Sir sabka kehna hai ki yeh koi rival team ka kaam hai.

Sameer: Hmm. To aab hamara yaha aur koi kaam nehi.

Police were checking the place. Akash was seeing everything. Sakshi had taken the day off. Suddenly something shiny caught his eyes. He went closer. It was a pendent. It was Sakshi's pendent. He looked here and there and put the pendent in the pocket. He smiled.

Akash: At last IPS Sakshi Rawte ne Paban ko hara hi dya.

Seven months passed since that incident. Sakshi became ACP and being transferred to ETF. All the credits go to Com. Raghuvangshi and Dr. Khanna. Sakshi is now living with Arjun in Rawte House. Arjun nailed down Sikandar and now thinking how to say I love you to Sakshi. He is making plans but nothing seems appropriate. Sakshi is waiting for the day. Shree told her secretly that Arjun is finally close to liking a plan. Well all set in their life. After a long separation they became one. May God save them from all evil eyes...
