CHAPTER 9:

Sameer was sitting in his chair and reading a file while the phone ringed. He picked up the reciever.

Sameer: Hallo.

Person: Hello Sahab. Main Ramlal. Security guard.

Sameer: Ha Ramlal bolo.

Ramlal: Sahab aaj Arjun sir aye the.

Sameer: Arjun!!!!!!!!!

Ramlal: Ha sahab. Woh jake sidha lift pe gye. Phir Sakshi memsab ayi. Lift ekbar 5^th floor aur dusribar 7^th floor pe ruki. Yeh bas abhi abhi sir chale gye.

Sameer: Good job Ramlal.

Saying that Sameer put down the reciever.

Sameer: Jaroor Sakshi se milne aya hoga. Majnu kahika. Par mujhe abhitak ye samajh nehi aa raha ki woh karna kya chah raha hai. Aur kiyu.

Sameer went to conference room. Everybody was present there except Sakshi. Sameer sat on the chair and petiently started waiting for Sakshi.

Sakshi entered the office like a tornedo. She was already late. She didn't want to get late more. When she entered in conference room everybody kept staring at her. Shree and Chotu sat there open mouth. Ariyan forgot to breath. Liza and Aisha just nodded their head. And Sameer was about to fall from the chair but balanced himself.

Sameer: Sakshi yeh kya pehna hai tumne?

Sakshi: Kiyu? Kounsi book pe likha hai ki main yeh dress nehi pehen sakti?

Sameer bit back his anger. He searched for words. He wanted to smack his foolish sister's head.

Sameer: Yeh dress kuch jiyada hi revealing hai.

Now everybody gaped at him. He knew he sounds like a possesive boyfriend but in this case he is being a possesive brother. But the problem is nobody knows that Sakshi is his cousin except Arjun. So, without anymore words he got up from the chair.

Sameer: Miss Sakshi Anand in my cabin now.

Ohho. Sakshi knew she was in trouble. Whenever Sameer pronounce her full name it means sunami coming. But she was also a hurrican. She won't accept defeat without a good fight. She raised her chin and went to his cabin.

In conference everybody was trying to digest the scene. Ariyan still couldn't get the picture of Sakshi let out of his head. She took her breath out. Shree, Liza and Chotu went back to work. Aisha was replaying the scene in her head. Seeing Sameer getting possesive towards Sakshi pricked her heart. She sighed and went back to work. After sometime she got up and went towards Sameer's cabin. His signature was needed in some files. Sakshi was still inside. She knocked but nobody answered. She pushed the door and went inside. But she wasn't ready for the scene that greeted her.

Sakshi was pinning down Sameer in the table with her leg. She kept hold of his hands with hers. Seeing Aisha she quickly released Sameer and went out from the cabin. It all started with a simple fight about her dress. Sakshi was good at karate. But, Sameer was master at it. So, whenever she and Sameer started fighting Sameer won but sometimes Sameer purposefully let Sakshi win. He loves her very much. It was there childhood habit.

Sameer straightened his wrinkled clothes and sat on the chair. He was feeling quite awkward infront of Aisha. He knew it was childish fighting with Sakshi. But it wasn't his fault. He massaged his left arm. Aww it hurts. That girl!! Suddenly he realized that Aisha was watching him with a peculiar expression. He sat up straight on the chair and cursed Sakshi for this under his breath.

Sameer: Aisha kuch kehna chahti ho?

Aisha: Haan sir. Woh in files mein aapki signature chaiye thi.

Sameer: Haan do.

He took the files and signed on it. After that Aisha took them and went out from his cabin.

Aisha went back to work. Sakshi was present there and busy in her work. Aisha couldn't wrap up her mind what she saw. Moreover, she couldn't understand why her heart sank everytime she think about that scene. She grew up in a hard situation. She was more a tomboy than a girly girl. She cursed herself for thinking about that.

Aftersome time Sameer came inside and briefed about a new case. He devided the team. He placed Chotu and Liza in the headquarter. Ariyan, Sakshi, Sameer and Aisha went to the crimespot. It was hilly area and very dengorous. Little carelessness and death is certain. Reaching there Sameer and Aisha went to one side and Ariyan and Sakshi went to other side.

Unware to themselves a pair of eyes were watching them from a good distance. When the devided in two groups he became a little hesitant but then started going after Ariyan and Sakshi.

Ariyan tried to start a conversation with Sakshi but in vein. Sakshi was lost in dreamland. She was replaying her moments with Arjun. She was so lost that she didn't even realized that Ariyan had gone quite ahead. She thought about calling him but then dismissed the idea. She was about to step ahead when her feet fall on a loose stone and she lost her balance. She screamed.

Hearing her scream Ariyan turned around. To his sheer horror he saw that Sakshi is about to fall from the hill and he was quite far. Knowing that he wouldn't be able to reach in time he started running towards her.

It was a steep hill. She was about to fall when a strong hand caught her. She had kept her eyes shut but when she felt someone catching her she opened her eyes.

Her deep brown eyes clashed with two deep black orb like eyes. She whispered Arjun and smiled. She knew her Arjun would never let anything happen to her. Ajun pulled her and made her stand. Sakshi hugged him tightly. She really got scared today. For a moment she thought that she is going to die today.

When Ariyan came closer he saw Sakshi hugging the guy who saved her. Ariyan observed the guy for a minute. Quite well build and handsome fiture. Had a mustache like Rathod. Though Ariyan was greatfull that he saved Sakshi's life but he didn't like the fact that Sakshi was hugging that unknown person that tightly. That person was murmuring soothingly to Sakshi's ear. Seeing Ariyan he stopped. Ariyan went near them.

Ariyan: Thank u so much for saving her life. What's your name? Are you local?

Arjun: No. I am not local. Just a tourist. My name is Amrit Malhotra. And no need to thank me. I am happy that I could save her life.

Saying that he patted Sakshi's back. During the whole conversion Sakshi didn't loose her hold neither Arjun. This angared Ariyan.

Ariyan: Sakshi chalo yaha se. Aaj ke liye investigation khatam.

Sakshi was reluctant to let Arjun go but she couldn't disobey her senior. She looked at Arjun who nodded.

Ariyan took Sakshi to the car. He tried to console her but she kept her distance. Ariyan already called Sameer. When they came near the car Sameer and Aisha already waiting for them. Seeing him Sakshi ran towards Sameer and hugged him. She started sobbing. Sameer's heart wrench seeing her tears. He patted her but didn't ask anything. He ordered Ariyan and Aisha to go the headqurter while he took Sakshi to her home.

Arjun watched this and sighed in relief. He got in his car and started following Sameer's car from a distance. If he hadn't took the case at his friend's request and went there to investigate he would loose Sakshi today. At the very thought gave him a shudder. No. He couldn't afford to loose her. It's the second case where he clashed with ETF. If enemy came to know that he is in Mumbai his every effort will go in vein. From now on he will have to more carefull. He decide in grim determination.
