I completely agree with your sentiments. I think that suggestiveness would have done well here- I didn't really see the point behind the graphic violence that they depicted on screen. And the killer in the water was such an eww moment.

But honestly, I have stopped making posts of this kind. I have vehemently protested against the relentless depiction of violence in the media, esp. on IF, and trust me, people are least bothered🤢 It's plain disturbing to my psyche.

And I really don't think complaining to the BCCC will lead to the termination of the show. It will lead to a warning, which I think is rightly deserved.

I will go with a quote which in spite of being from the lips of a comic book superhero makes perfect sense:

"With great power comes great responsibility". 😃

Gorky would do well to remember that.

And to add another vital point- the past two/three weeks, the way they are pitting Arjun against these serial killers- seems like a desperate attempt to grab eyeballs- and TRP's.

I would be glad if they proceeded with the main story arc underlying the series- Arjun's quest for the killer of his wife. It's long overdue. And at this point, Arjun is increasingly becoming a Hamlet-wannabe who is eternally delaying his revenge.

At last!! Someone who feels like me. Thank you!!

This is my first attempt in this line, and I am also being educated. There was one member in Forum 32 who said the episode could have been made by nuns, and there was nothing titillating about it at all. It takes all sorts to make the world, I guess!

It is not I who felt the show might be taken off because of a complaint to the BCCC. It was some young friends here, of whom I am fond, who were afraid of that, so I went along and wrote only to Forum 32. Let us if anything happens. It this is repeated, I will complain to the BCCC and to the channel. In any case, I doubt if Arjun going to continue into 2014. It seems to be falling apart in more ways than one, and it used to be such a wonderful, intelligent, clean show!

Your Spiderman quote is spot on. I think the PH's problem is that their power, never great at the best of times, is waning, and like saas-bahu shows going in for backless blouses and shoulder length earrings, they are going in for crude, disgusting violence.

Being on IF- you realize all the more fully that it takes all sorts to make a world. But...I guess, at the end of the day, who are we to judge?😉

And yes, this is a quintessential part of this experience- whenever you protest against the mainstream view, you inadvertently learn quite a number of things in the process. So...good luck! For example, i was told that during a similar argument that parents have the sole duty of exercising control over the TV so as to protect their impressionable children, and, oh no, it is not the channel/soap maker's fault at all!

And please don't back off- I don't see why you have to refrain from complaining to the BCCC. If you are offended, and you feel that certain things are plain unacceptable, you are fully entitled to your opinion. 😊
