Ok, Tina, Shreya, Kunchu, if you are all so worried about Star Plus pulling the show off air (which I do not think is at all likely, but what matters is what you all feel) , I will not go to the BCCC, and will instead post a strong complaint at the website you have indicated. Let us first see what they say in response to that.

This said, I cannot hide my disappointment at the fact that no one in this forum, as far as I could see, has thought fit to voice her feelings against the ugliness of that episode, especially the build up to the rape and murder of that young girl. That, and showing her like that on the bed, with the killer luxuriating in the bath tub. Did it not make your skin crawl? The only topic of discussion I saw was about whether Arjun was right in shooting that monster out of hand. I could not believe it.

Unfortunately like a friend above said and like Helna also said, Arjun is the only watchable show for many of us, and asking it to be removed will be very hard on us, but yep we can ask them to put warnings before such episodes are shown, and also decrease the level of perversion and all...

Still for the time being Aunty you could also go to the link below, it's the website of 4lions and Gorky would certainly be notified if you post anything there...

Nahin Aunty I really didnt like yesterday's show, that's why i wasnt fit to even write a post on it, like i usually do for every episode since last year...
and besides commenting on the righteousness or not of a show here doesnt work, in the end people starts to jump at one's throat...
people excel here at positive criticism of a character and her fans...
but i agree that kind of perversion was off, and wont mind adding/joining you in complaining to Gorky himself

okay i believe i am one of the Aliens of Arjun forum 😆
anyways... jokes apart...

Hi Shyamala Aunty 😊

firstly hats off to you for raising this question.
i was irked beyond limit while seeing the episode.
it was pathetic.
i totally agree with you.
the only fact that i want to point out is
r u sure that the episode was ugly ???? because in my opinion it was the crime that was ugly.
if u dont want to see reality based incidents then u must stop watching the show like this.
because it is a crime show !!!
they never showed how to kill and how to rape.(except the attack on shree part)
otherwise the weapons ties and all that are used are pretty much common for a crime show.
i agree with Shreya to some extend.
kids are no more kids nowadays.
they act mature enough in the age of 13/14.
they do not require a tv show to commit a crime.the surroundings and the environments are the main reason for their behavior i guess.
about the show being pulled off... i will never support that.
Tina,Shreya & Kunchu ... well i understand their fear because u cant really trust Star Plus & the PH. Reason is known to all.

hope u all will forgive me for poking my nose here.
sorry... couldn't help it 😆

Well, Tina, I have posted the following in Forum 32 (and if you saw the other 11 comments there, you would be sick too). I will see, firstly, if they edit it and tone it down before they carry it and then what the production team says.

My bet is that they will do nothing, and the next time, if no one except me speaks up, it will be worse. So, if you feel like it, do join me in this complaint on Forum 32.

Frankly, my dear Tina, I do not care what people like or don't like here, for I no longer write in this forum, but I could not contain myself after watching that muck in Arjun. I simply could not believe it.

REQUEST YOUR ATTENTION AND EARLY ACTION

To the writers, the director, and the producers of Arjun,

I been a faithful and committed viewer of the biweekly episodes of Arjun, not missing a single one since the show began over a year ago. It is the best fictional crime series in Hindi language TV at the moment, from both the scripting and acting points of view, and I have rejoiced in many of the exceptional episodes in the past. The script writers maintained a balance between the professional and the personal lives of their characters, with the latter emerging in carefully inserted bits and pieces, and the thread of the Sikandar backstory was kept up, even if only fitfully.

There was a social message in many of the episodes, as in the very powerful one on a baanjh woman, on honour killings, on drugs, and even on the wastage of water (though to show people dying of thirst was way OTT and factually wrong), and of late there was the novel and useful Arjun ka Suraksha Chakra (now abandoned, it seems).

Unfortunately, our favourite serial seems now to be falling on bad, and sad times. The deteriorating quality of the scripts is alarming. When a superior crime series starts falling back on deranged serial killers, as Arjun has been doing for the past 2-3 weeks - with murderous auto rickshaw drivers and a tantrik organising a human sacrifice of his own son to get back his dead wife - it is a danger signal.

But it was yesterday's episode about the doorbell killer that was the pits. Firstly, where was the need to make such a very violent episode - with a nail driven into the forehead of a gentle and kindly priest by the boy he had befriended and brought up, people stabbed in the throat with knives, a woman killed by asyphixiation and stuffed in her own refrigerator?

And the most horrible of all, the unclothed body of a raped and strangled teenager, covered only with a towel, her hands tied to the bedposts? And with the killer luxuriating in a foam filled bathtub? When I watched that child on the bed, I felt like throwing up.

It was perversion at its worst, for that image, following on the earlier shots of the killer fondling a photo of the girl in shorts, smelling her clothes, seemed meant not to horrify, but as titillation. How many copycat murderers would you bet that those scenes inspire? It was SICK.

Would you, Mr, Gorky, like to bet on how many perverts watching those scenes will be inspired to copy that, complete with bathtub?

Why do the writers, the director, the producers of such an excellent serial have to stoop so low? Yes, we all know that such horrors are a daily occurrence in one part or the other of every country in the world. There are 4/5 years being sexually assaulted these days, but would you show that in Arjun? Are children, who are still up and watching it at 8 pm to be treated to that young girl on the bed and the nail in a man's forehead? Why a child, I am 60+ and I do not want to watch such ugly stuff.I do not want my favourite serial reduced to near po*nographic trash.

So, please, Mr. Gorky, I would, as a fervent admirer of the early Arjun, request you most earnestly to clean up your act, and fast. If not, one fine day someone will go to the BCCC and file a formal complaint, and I do not know where that will lead. I would not at all want Arjun to get into any kind of trouble, either with the BCCC or with the channel.

Don't worry, Payal, I took Tina's advice and have complained only in Forum 32. Do take a look at my post to her above.

And what is this about your not knowing whether you have the right " to say or write something here on not" ? Of course you do. What else is the forum for?

Nope F32 never edits a comment, it either posts it or not...
Lol i was among those 11 comments, because i had really been interested about this episode, have posted before the episode anyway, but i was also sick of the perversion shown...
I'm sure F32 will let it pass, and maybe reply to you also...
But like i said before, i was myself shocked after all that discussion with Gorky, how much Star Plus let passed , when they had refused even snakes on that other episode...

ok i am not understanding one thing...what is the relation between complaining to BCCC and show off air? contract is extended, and for a complain they wont off air show. PH will show a apology during the telecast like they are doing now for QH epi. so if we complain that does not mean show will be harmed for it. also channel is also at fault for this to telecast this...

and @TM u want to complain to BCCC or in F32, its ur choice. but it wont do any good by writing in F32, they edit/ delete the comments. if you are thinking complaining to BCCC will help pulling the show off air, i am not agreeing with that. its just a complain, and contract is extended. for a complain they wont do it...
