Hello Shyamala Aunty ,

I haven't interacted with you but yes I do know that you were an active member of the Arjun Forum 😃

Coming to the points you highlighted for yesterday episode ..

I was also in the Hangout session along with Tina and Gorky had mentioned that they have specific guidelines regarding what needs to be shown on television at their time slot .

So I can assume that the episode was approved by all and then aired and maybe it's time to define the rules better

On the other aspect , whatever shown yesterday could have been toned down a lot to showcase that he was a psychopath killer and the PH should have worked on that .

I remember in the Saturday Story also they had given the impression of a Pisach by the sound of drinking of blood , they could have used certain techniques here too

P.S- I guess the doctor had to give the shocked expression instead of staring which the actor couldn't convey properly and it looked really odd .Anyone could go in shock after seeing his wife in that condidtion

Hello Aunty, good to see you back in Arjun forum!

yes, the episode or of late many episodes are high on this kind of violence..
For me the worst was the auto driver's case...

And yesterday, the villain was damn scary...and his mode of killings were horrible...
It was surely not something kids can see...I too found that entire scene about the rape really horrible! I was surprised when they showed that because I was told that starplus never allows such things onscreen!

But honestly, i didnt think about all such angles...I mean, I get the TV all for myself when I watch Arjun and so I never thought about this...
What troubled me more was the possibility of birth of such a psycho due to childhood problems...the magnitude of that just blew me out!

*****************

I had long back thought that such crime series must be shifted to a late night slot like the others...may be 10 Pm or so...
I had suggested the same to Gorky sir in the hangout as well!

Having said that, I am glad you reported that to Forum 32 and didnt go as per your previous plan...
I dont know what else to say because I love this show so much and hence sometimes, i fail to notice the flaws!

It literally made my skin crawl, and I am sure you felt the same. It was grossly exploitative and titillating, and I cannot believe that Mr. Gorky passed this treatment of those scenes.

yesss i felt the same.it looked pathetic.but it was about a psycho killer... they wanted to show the cruelty ... and wanted to show the reason behind shooting a person point blank...

I do not buy the 'it happens, and children are not children any more' arguments. In the US, they would not have allowed such scenes in this time slot.

but has that really helped in reducing the crime tendencies ???
not a single kid watches a show at night ????

As for 'they do not require a tv show to commit a crime.the surroundings and the environments are the main reason for their behavior', what would you bet would be the number of copycat rapes and murders that will committed in the same template, bathtub and all? One reads repeatedly of such copycats, for kidnappings, thefts, murders, the whole lot.

i agree at this point.copycats.a real problem.
but then stop the news channels too.from their exclusive news.refine their way of describing those incidents.
stop each and every show that shows any kind of violence.
& net surfing???what about it ???

There are also daily incidents of small children being raped and murdered. Do you want to see that too on Arjun? And child sexual abuse, including within the family? That also happens. This is not Satyameva Jayate, you know, that handles such issues with sensitivity.

no i dont want to see those in Arjun.i dont want to see them any any show.& definitely not in real life.but here comes the line again "this things happens in real life" .and this is a crime show that is based on reality (almost) .
Satyameva Jayate is a different league...
we cant compare Arjun with it.

I saw some comments here, including yours, expressing happiness that the modus operandi of the rape was not shown. Well, if no one protests, the next time it will be. And of course rape happens all the time too, so what is the harm is providing a little instruction manual? They did their best in this direction yesterday, and with a little encouragement, I am sure they will do even better.

i appreciate for your effort.even i want them to do in in a proper way.
& trust me i really appreciate you for raising voice against it 👍🏼

If I sound livid and OTT, it is because that is the way I feel, and no, I am not at all sorry about it.
Shyamala Aunty

please dont misunderstand me.i am not asking u to be sorry.u are right at ur place.
i was just sharing my pov. nothing else.sorry if i sounded rude.

And Shyamala Aunty

i have nothing against the time changing request...
its just that i really dont see any use of it...
but if u guys succeed in that time slot changing issue... i will be more than happy for various reasons...
i am a well wisher of this show just like you...
i am following the show from the very first episode just like you...
(but yesss, unlike you i am a silent visitor of this forum & all the ffs :P ... sorry writers ... u guys are excellent ... but its just that i am too lazy to comment... yeah i am one of the bad silent reader who fears to show her existence... reason ? unknown to me also... )
so Aunty... please dont take my word in a negative way.ok ? 😊

Hi shyamala aunty, i am swathi. I have recently joined the forum and hence i've never been able to go through your analysis on episodes.
Coming to the topic, i want to make one thing clear at first. I haven't watched the episode yet. But from what i've read, i pretty much got the concept of the episode. I've never ever understood how "showing" the modus operandi of a crime will help in stop someone from doing the same. Someone who has a heart to think that "ok it's cruel" will never has the guts to do it. Unfortunately people who enjoy watching such stuff may actually get encouraged by watching such gruesome scenes onscreen. But that is my POV.
The recent change in story line , ie, the serial killer series, is indeed a warning signal to all of us fans. Creatives usually bring in such topics when they are out of ideas. And the standard of recent episodes shows us the same. Even me who have never missed an episode of arjun didn't feel like watching the episodes this weekend. It also is due to the fact that i'm an ardent fan of behzaad. The frame looks incomplete without him.
Continued in the next post.

Glad that you have raised this point!!
I too felt that some of these scenes esp the image of the raped girl were a bit too much and probably unnecessary. I would have preferred if the makers focus more on the crime-solving techniques and the message obtained from the case (if any) rather than going into the details regarding the brutality of the crime.
