No, Nisha, I do not want Arjun pulled off, either, unless they go on in this fashion and get even worse. I have loved it from Day1, and that is why I could not stand this episode.
My dear, whether the crime was ugly or the episode- it is quibbling and dodging the question. All crime is ugly. Some crimes are uglier than others. So saying that it was only the crime that was ugly does not mean anything extra.
What I meant was that the way the crimes - the murders, the near soft po*no build up to the rape, showing the girl that way on the bed, the murderer in the bathtub afterwards - were shown was very ugly. It literally made my skin crawl, and I am sure you felt the same. It was grossly exploitative and titillating, and I cannot believe that Mr. Gorky passed this treatment of those scenes.
I do not buy the 'it happens, and children are not children any more' arguments.
In the US, they would not have allowed such scenes in this time slot. As for 'they do not require a tv show to commit a crime.the surroundings and the environments are the main reason for their behaviour', what would you bet would be the number of copycat rapes and murders that will committed in the same template, bathtub and all? One reads repeatedly of such copycats, for kidnappings, thefts, murders, the whole lot.
There are also daily incidents of small children being raped and murdered. Do you want to see that too on Arjun? And child sexual abuse, including within the family? That also happens. This is not Satyameva Jayate, you know, that handles such issues with sensitivity.
I saw some comments here, including yours, expressing happiness that the modus operandi of the rape was not shown. Well, if no one protests, the next time it will be. And of course rape happens all the time too, so what is the harm is providing a little instruction manual? They did their best in this direction yesterday, and with a little encouragement, I am sure they will do even better.
If I sound livid and OTT, it is because that is the way I feel, and no, I am not at all sorry about it.

anyways... jokes apart...
Hi Shyamala Aunty 😊
firstly hats off to you for raising this question.
i was irked beyond limit while seeing the episode.
it was pathetic.
i totally agree with you.
the only fact that i want to point out is
r u sure that the episode was ugly ???? because in my opinion it was the crime that was ugly.
if u dont want to see reality based incidents then u must stop watching the show like this.
because it is a crime show !!!
they never showed how to kill and how to rape.(except the attack on shree part)
otherwise the weapons ties and all that are used are pretty much common for a crime show.
i agree with Shreya to some extend.
kids are no more kids nowadays.
they act mature enough in the age of 13/14.
they do not require a tv show to commit a crime.the surroundings and the environments are the main reason for their behavior i guess.
about the show being pulled off... i will never support that.
Tina,Shreya & Kunchu ... well i understand their fear because u cant really trust Star Plus & the PH. Reason is known to all.
hope u all will forgive me for poking my nose here.
sorry... couldn't help it 😆
Nisha

This said, I cannot hide my disappointment at the fact that no one in this forum, as far as I could see, has thought fit to voice her feelings against the ugliness of that episode, especially the build up to the rape and murder of that young girl. That, and showing her like that on the bed, with the killer luxuriating in the bath tub. Did it not make your skin crawl? The only topic of discussion I saw was about whether Arjun was right in shooting that monster out of hand. I could not believe it.
