Part 3
After a lot of struggling against her kidnapper, Sakshi was defeated and pushed into a room. Her hands were untied and by the time she opened her blindfold, the room was pitch-black and empty. Knowing she was alone, she started feeling around where she was being held captive.
Sakshi felt a couch and even ran into what seemed to be a table. Cursing to herself, she rubbed her leg. It seemed to her that she was in a living room. She felt around the walls too. Her hands ran across cracks in the wall that felt like a door.
"It won't open," said a voice. Sakshi had tried to pull the doorknob and sure enough it was locked. As soon as she heard the voice, she spun around. "Who's there? How dare you bring me here? Let me go!" she screamed into the darkness.
"Calm down. Don't be in too much of a hurry to meet me," replied the voice sans emotion. Sakshi could now tell that the voice was coming from speakers. "If I was physically in front of you, I guarantee you would be cowering in fear," continued the voice.
Something about that voice made Sakshi feel like she'd heard it before. "Ha! Sakshi Anand Sharma isn't scared of anyone!" Sakshi chided the voice before she realized what she had let loose. "Sakshi you can't keep your mouth closed can you," she thought.
"Oh, so Sakshi Anand isn't even your real name. What do you have to hide Miss Sharma?" the voice asked. Sakshi just became irritated and casually replied, "That would none of your business. Show your face like a real man and then maybe I'll tell you why I don't mention the name Sharma."
"Thats enough! I have no interest in hearing your banter! Just answer me quickly. How do you know Sikander?" the voice got angry and screamed so loud that even Sakshi was perturbed.
She wondered, "If this man is asking me about Sikander then he probably isn't from Sikander's gang. Maybe I can tell him' No! Stop Sakshi! He's a faceless man. He could be from an enemy gang for all you know! Shut up before you make things worse for yourself." "I have no interest in telling cowards anything. If you want to know my story then come in front of me," said Sakshi, knowing that her only chance to escape was to attack her kidnapper.
"Just answer my question. I don't need any attitude or it won't end well for you," warned the voice. Sakshi just yawned, felt for the couch, and sat down saying, "I don't think its going to end well for me regardless of whether I tell you or not. So here's a thought. Why don't I sleep on it and then decide? In any case, I am really sleepy now. So good night my dear kidnapper." Sakshi laid down, smiled sweetly at every corner of the room to show the hidden cameras she assumed were there, and laid down with a pillow over her ears to drown out any of the voice's protests.
---------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, a man sat worried, staring at a phone. He was sitting on a couch in a hospital room. The only lights to be seen were the ones on the machines and from the man's phone. He put the phone to his ear again and waited again only the slam it down on the couch after sometime. "Dammit Sakshi! Where are you?!" said the man as he grabbed his aching head in his hands.
--------------------------------------------------------
Sakshi woke up the next morning with a pain in her back. "Damn this couch and damn the man who caused me to sleep here. Once I see him'" she thought to herself as she stretched after she sat up. Now that it was daytime, there was slight sunlight coming in from a curtained window. She still couldn't properly see the room though as the curtains were thick and heavy.
"Sakshi think like Arjun. How would he get out of here?" Sakshi absentmindedly told herself. Then she slapped her forehead and walked over to the curtains. She pulled them open and was pleased to finally see the light even though it hurt her at first. She knew that there had to be a clue in the room to help her figure out who had kidnapped her. She felt that Arjun would be proud seeing her quick thinking today
She turned around eager to look around when her smile was wiped clean off her face. On the table, next to the couch, was a smiling picture of the man himself, Arjun Suryakant Raute.
