Hey guys. Here's the next part to my FF. I just want to put a disclaimer that I do not know anything about Mumbai and places there so if I talk about any place or person, they are completely made up. Also, its about 1:30am in America where I live right now so I am going to quickly post this and go to sleep. I'll be sending PMs out later today. I apologize for that. Please enjoy this part though and dont forget to like, comment, and add me as a buddy for PMs.
Part 1
The ETF team had just finished a pretty simple case where they needed to raid a building where there were illegal ammunition dealings. The case finished in a few hours since Arjun had guessed where the dealings were happening since they were happening in a recently abandoned mall store. The team went in, found the ammunition and arrested those involved.
As they entered back into their headquarters, Sakshi headed straight for her computer. "Sakshi. Can I watch you while you write your article?" Arjun asked Sakshi as she spun around shocked to see him standing behind her chair. "I mean, I want to make sure you're not writing wrong or dramatic information. I've already told you that we're not film stars that our work needs to become commercialized," Arjun said as he went back to being indifferent. "Sure Arjun. But just to warn you, even if you don't like the way I write my articles, I am not about to change that," Sakshi said sternly as she glared back at him.
She got to work, pulling out her notes from the day. Arjun grabbed them from her as he noticed that she had all of three words written down from the case. "Illegal" "Weaponry" "Mall" Arjun asked, "How can you possibly write a whole article using three words? How careless! Were you not even paying attention to the case?!" Sakshi replied, "This is where you will never understand that even a crime reporter can be observant and intelligent," as she grabbed her notes back from him.
Slowly but surely her notes turned into a whole article. "Today was a very simple case for the very capable ETF team. An amateur was trying to conduct illegal ammunition dealings in a recently abandoned store in the Express Mall in Bandra. Very similarly to an ETF case in 2003, the person conducting these dealings left a very important clue in the shape of a simple work uniform. In 2003, a man by the name of Armaan Singh had worked as a manager in a restaurant and he had secretly started to change the restaurants numbers. The restaurant had to close and Singh started a drug business in the closed premises. However, just as the ammunition dealer, by the name of Siddharth Khanna, he left his restaurant uniform in his house. When the ETF team back in 2003 went to search Singh's house, they found this uniform and today this ETF team also found Khanna's uniform from his job at Express Mall. An easily solved case and its very surprising to see how history seems to repeat itself. However, even if the shameful crimes keep on repeating, the people who have the courage to solve these problems always return too.
On that note, the teams that solved both of these cases were all a part of ETF. Everyone knows their powers and abilities. Each and everu officer in the team has their own abilities. Some people have physical strength while others have the ability to keep calm in an emergency. Someone can seriously work a gun while another person knows technology like the back of their hand. Everybody has their own value but the ETF team can only be known for their greatness because of their value for working together and bringing these abilities to a whole new level. This only shows this noble team's true want to justice and safety. Because even as I write this I know that even one of the smartest police men the force has ever seen still doesn't want their name and face turned into some worshipped celerity."
Arjun finished reading the last sentence and knew immediately that it was referring to him. It surprised him how not only had she turned those three words into a two paragraph article but through that article she showed how much she respected the whole team. "She respects us so much and we' I have never given her due, " thought Arjun. He shook it off and noticed something else. "How do you know about the cases in 2003? You must have been in college. Even I wasn't in the police force when that case happened," asked Arjun to Sakshi. "Uhhh' I was studying journalism that time so I studied this case. I should go now," Sakshi quickly responded and stood up to leave.
Sakshi opened her desk drawer and pulled out an ETF file. "Where are you taking that file Sakshi? It should be staying in the headquarters," Arjun reached for the file as Sakshi hurriedly put it in her bag. "Umm.. it's not a work file. It's personal. I just couldn't find an empty file so I used an ETF one," Sakshi sputtered out and walked towards the door, Arjun standing baffled behind her.
----- An hour later ----
Arjun was now leaving the office as well. He hadbrushed off Sakshi's weird behavior as her normal craziness and went to finish off his paperwork for the case. As he walked past Sameer Rathod's office, he saw Sakshi arguing with Rathod. Not realizing what he was doing, he walked to the door to listen to what they were arguing about.
"Sameer, I am not going to go to do this undercover report knowing his health is worse now," Sakshi pleaded with Rathod. "Sakshi, I know you're worried about him. I'll go check on him but you know that he wants you to give everything to your job. He's fighting all this for you, because he loves you. I promise I'll take care of everything. You just go to that party and do you report," Rathod gently explained everything to Sakshi and firmly ordered her to whatever it was she had to do.
Arjun was extremely confused. As far as he knew, the ETF team had nothing to do with the independent reports that Sakshi had to do and if this report had to do with ETF he would have known about it. Arjun knocked on the door and asked, "What case are you guys talking about?" Sakshi and Rathod looked shocked at him and Rathod nervously responded, "Sakshi was just taking leave for tomorrow for an independent report." Arjun wasn't convinced but Sakshi and Rathod walked out before he could ask any more.
Arjun knew that there was something about Sakshi that was being hidden from the rest of the team and him. He decided to follow Sakshi'
