getting wet in the light drizzle...

The rain when it comes,
makes his eyes pour out all his sorrows once again...

Well that reminded him,
that he was supposed to be smiling today...
It was his Birthday after all...
but such an unlucky day never came again in his life...

well it was snatched away...
His soul tattered,
and his heart,
well,
once there used to live the light of his being,
His Roshni...

Had she been here today.
He would have been the soul alive...
but now he was stuck in the middle of a grief-filled ocean...
His existence mocked his loss every moment.
Oh how he missed,
her gentle touches,
her warm hug,
her tender kiss...

A smile crept up his lips as he recalled how she would use to chide him for getting wet in the rain.
How she would prepare his favorite Rich chocolate eclair cake...
He hadnt had sweet tooth,
but she did,
hence he got a teeny bit,
spiked with love,
and the rest went to her tummy...

He traveld back to the memorylane.

"Arjun, Jun, Utho na, kya Kumbhkaran k tarha sote rehte ho..."

his dear wife was up and fully ready,
After much tugging, pleading, whining she managed to get him up.
rubbing his eyes he sat up.
he checked his watch.

he said exasperately
"itni raat ko kya koi farishta anewala hai upar se?"

she sang and pecked his cheek,
he just stared at her in awe...

She who was an early sleeper, stayed awake just to wish him...

"Arju, sorry, but i wanted to be the first one to wish you... I-"

before she could finish he captured her lips in his,
sucking, chewing, tasting her.

Her hands knotted in his hair,
while he was kneading to her waist...
They stopped for breath...
He looked at his darling wife,
with flushed cheek and swollen red lips...

"Ooh... Nyc, mujhe mera gift bhi mil gaya..."
She blushed hard.
"Ruko, meine aapke liye cake banaya hai.
use kaat tey hai."

"Itni raat ko cake??"
he asked in mock surprise,
then he felt her head.

"yes baba, overacting karne ki zarurat ni hai,
today is your day afterall meri jaan."
She grinned

They cut the cake and fed eachother, apply cream on eachothers face, having a lovely time...

She gifted him a silver locket and chain...

"Wow rosh. Its lovly."

"hm... Just like u Jun."
She sobered up...
and meekly asked.
"Umm...
Acha Jun, Mai...
agar Mai, mai..."

She stammered unable to say it.
He was concerned now...
He took her hands in his...

"Kya hua Jaan?"

a few tears escaped her eyes...
she took a deep breath
"Arjun, Agar mujhe aapse dur jaana parha, to mujhe maf kardena, Bhula dena..."

She hugged him tight and cried all her heart out...
He consoled and soothed her till she calmed down.
when she was a bit stable he asked

"Ye baatein kyu karrahi ho Jaan? Kisine kuch kaha?"
She shakes her head in no.

"Nahi Jun, wo bas sochrahi thi k zindagi ka thikana kise hai Arjun?
Agar mai kal chaligayi to? Jun, Aaj mai aapke liye ek mannat manti hu,
k aapki zindagi me bohot khushiya ho, bohot lambi umr ho aapki aur mai sada suhagan rahu...
Aur aapse pehle is duniya se mai Alvida lu, taaki us jahan mei aapk liye intezaar kar saku..."

"Roshni, meri zindagi meri khushiya to tum ho."

He engulfed her again in yet another embrace...

He sat down on the park bench,
Cursing that God for hearing to her wishes...
why did she have to leave him...
Today he had no one to wish him a happy birthday no one to make a cake for him...

There was rathor and...

the quiet, thoughtful Riya was the first one to wish him...
