CHAPTER 22:
Arjun was stressed all the way. He called Shree and found Sapna was still asleep. " don't worry Rawte she will be fine."
"patha nahi Rathod.. aisa leg raha hai ki kuch hone wala hai…"
"kuch nahi hoga…" they reached in half an hour. They were taking their own position. It took a while to locate a man tied onto a chair. They helped him out. " kya hua tha?" Rathod asked him. "patha nahi sir.. un logone mujhe ghar se utha liya.. or yaha aake baand liya. Kaha ke kuch nahi karoge. Par unhe kuch time denakeliye ye sab kar raha hu… mere samajh me kuch nahi aara ha sir.. kise time dene? Or kyu?"
Rathod was not getting it. Arjun was trying to find the missing dots. At last."no…. this cant happen…"
"kya hua Rawte?" Arjun called Shree. Phone rang but he didn't take it. Then he called Sapna. Then the landline. No response. He was so worried. "Rathod jaldi chalo…" they rushed to the SUV.
He knew it. His heart had told him that something was coming up. He was praying for Sapna… after a long time. "please use kuch math hone dena…" he was driving as a maniac. Rathod sensed what was going on. They reached the home and rushed in. Shree was lying on the floor, his head bleeding. Rathod and Chotu rushed to him. Arjun looked at him and ran to the bedroom….. she was not there….
30 minutes before:
Arjun had called Shree to enquire about her. He told that she was still asleep. After phone he took the wet towel and again placed it on her head. "yaar tune ye kya kar diya…? tune sachmuch sir ko badal diya…"
Sikander was watching Arjun and his wife for a long time, since their marriage. At last the day came. His men kidnapped Rajeev to distract them. But they felt their plan was going to be easier now. She was not well. They saw a doctor coming at their home and Arjun. " ab wo filhaal behosh hai" doctor had said. "great.." thought Sikander. When they went they left a young man at the house. "no problem…" he thought again.
He and his men came after Arjun and team had left. They knocked the door. Shree opened it and someone hit his head with a stick. He was going blurry. They went and took Sapna from the other room. She was still asleep. He tried to stop them when they pushed him against the wall and fell down.
Now:
Arjun saw the bed was empty. He searched everywhere. Then ran to Shree. He was slowly getting up. "aah…" he cried holding on to his head. "Shree, Sapna kaha hai…where is she..?" his voice cracked.
"sir… usse…Sikander…" the whole world stopped at his words. "I tried sir .. par nahi ho paya.. I am sorry…"
Arjun sat heavily on the floor. He was dead inside. " I knew it.. mujhe patha tha yehi hone wala hai.. par koi suna nahi.. ab kya? Wo Sapna ko.."
"nahi Arjun kuch nahi hoga… kuch bhi nahi.." Shree was taken for first aid by Chotu. He was feeling so guilty. After a while a call came in Arjun's phone." Hello.." speaker was on.
"kya baath hai Rawte!! Kya choice hai tumhare!! Kitne HOT biwi ko ghar layi ho??" he was fuming. "chod de use Sikander… tumhare dushmani mujhse hai.. use chod de…"
"tum nahi sudroge… wahi purani gussa.. wahi pyaari se wife.. or ab wahi dialog…itna pyaar karthe ho us se… tho wahi jagah aajao… wahi din ke tharah… akale… dekhthe wahi kahani dohrathe ke nahi…" he cut the phone. Arjun rushed to the door. "rukh jao Rawte… hum bhi aarahe hai…"
"nahi Rathod ye Sapna ke jaan ke sawal hai.. mein koi chance nahi lena chahthe… mujhe jane do…akele.." he went out. He drove his vehicle at a high speed. "mein use nahi khone dunga… is baar nahi…"
