Hmm so, Parag blames his mother for neglecting their dreams and pushing them to be successful. Seriously?
Vasundhara, in one of the episodes mentioned that her husband was an absentee business and negligent and brother-in-law usurped the entire property pushing them into poverty. She, along with her spns resurrected their lives and are now The Kotharis.
Parag flaunts his wealth around and was able to offer Onupama money because he had them. The poor Kotharisbwould never have been able to.
On second thoughts, had they remained poor, they would have been saved by Shahs entering their lives, may be.
Added later.
Parag blames Vasundhara for being strict, strong, overly traditional and disciplined, almost emotionless. Agree, but had she not been that, she wouldn't have been able to hold a family together and they would have turned into nobody had it not been for her persistence. Nuclear families can be more open, lenient, flexible. It is not a luxury that joint families can afford.
Makers have totally forgot about that as it is a story that they told many episodes before and they totally forgot about that because in the latest one of the episodes of Prathna's wedding, when Parag was feeling bad and he rebuked at Gautam for talking wrongly about the character of their daughter and DIL , Vasundhara stated that her husband didn't paid that much attention to business as he had other hobbies, so she prepared Parag in such a way that he is iron hearted and focuses on business.
