Of course Dimpy deserved it just cause she said a few home truths exposing a toxic family! Shameless Sacred Shahs are clearly Saints aren’t they and love their Bahu’s to bits! They definitely didn’t bully Nandini and force her to leave, they definitely didn’t emotionally manipulate Crinjal into staying with that Trash Doshu! Heck they definitely didn’t abuse Anupama for 26 years!

If people who tell the harsh truth are bad then I think people who taunt, threaten to slap and name call people as naagin etc deserve a slap. People who emotionally blackmail and watch their Beti jaisi Bahu and get abused daily but do nothing deserve a slap!

The law does protect women from domestic violence. Maybe it's permissible for someone in Anupamaverse to be slapped, beaten or assaulted for being ill mannered, rude or despicable but these rules are also applied selectively there. Guess it seems to be a much better alternative for 'Bade Bhagwaan' believers as compared to countries like India, UK, USA etc. Even Saudi Arabia has a law against it

I am more disappointed here at posters defending domestic violence saying "she deserved it". Every single saas or husand who beat up their bahu have claimed she deserved it

What Dimpy spoke could be horribly wrong or ungrateful….but stopping a verbal outburst with a slap??? Seriously? Are we still going to show that to interrupt outbursts one has to slap the person going through an outburst?

The show has become only about everyone shouting at one another. And now everyone slapping each other. Kavya Toshu Pakhi Anuj Anupama and now Dimpy…everyone has been slapped justifying physical violence. Wow! The show is seriously degrading itself with each episode.

I completely agree with TM.. There is a way to speak truth, even if you are claiming to say. Dimpy os simply ungrateful, rude and snobbish.. There is no explanation of her behavior, it's just blind hatred. But blind hatred for what? Anupama and family who supported her, even when her own parents were against and are still against? Anupama giving her dance academy ? What are her logical reasons for this hatred?? She herself wouldn't know, she is just illmannered brat that's it

The thing is (in my opinion), none of the characters in the show, absolutely NONE of them are even remotely redeemable or even defendable. While we understand that everyone makes mistakes, these mistakes should be addressed and corrected, not brushed under the rug, forgotten.

Slapping your DIL is wrong, the abuse dished out to anupama for so many years by Vanraj was wrong, leela's actions and hasmukh's silence is wrong, the way dimpy behaves is wrong (even if you are putting forth bitter truths, there is a certain way to do it).... basically it is a long list of wrongs. The question only remains regarding the varying degree of severity involved.
