Anupamaa Love/Hate Rant

Anupamaa serial I have a love/hate relationship with. Did not watch all the episodes after they fostered CA. I like her meaningful lectures because even if am a working woman without husband or kids, I do have parents and siblings that I would give up my dreams for. Like Anupama, I would give up a good job if it meant being hours away from my family. Even in the USA at the age of 40, I love living with my parents and near my younger sister’s family. I would never want to miss my neice and nephew growing up. I don’t live freely like Toshu and definitely help with the expenses. So, I can definitely relate to Anupama.

What I Like…

1. She became strong after coming out of an abusive relationship

2. Her lectures- she should become an Ethic’s professor.

3. She tries to discipline her children when they are wrong.

4. She keeps all her relationships intact and doesn’t burn bridges. She loves her family, including her ex family. She wants to be involved in her kids lives even as adults. Parents always have an “I hate you” moment(s) with their teens and young adults children but does mean a parent can hate them back.

What I don’t like…

1. Giving too much attention to her adult children or Baa when her minor child needs her the most- the school function incident.

2. Anuj leaving her for CA and Maaya.

3. Anupama allowing Maaya to stay at KM and manipulate CA and Anuj.

4. Anupama taking so long to figure out that she needs to be CA in the recent track. What mother would leave a child who is in grief and shock no matter what stupid contract MD throws in her face. If I was Anupama, as soon as Maaya died, I would have said no to MD and let her take whatever legal actions she wants.

As for the tracks coming up, I am very interested in the domestic violence track and how they show Kavya’s EMA. I like Palkhi’s new found love for her mother.

Question-When did Pakhi and Adhik dorole reversal? Last time I checked, Pakhi and Adhik were okay with each other and living separately from Shah’s and KM. Now Adhik is bad again.
