They should just move out

All of you are right. Anupama does not owe anything to her children and should be free to prioritize her dreams. Vanraj has the full freedom to disregard his kids' feelings and have another child with his new wife. I agree with all this. But these kids should move out.

I am a working adult and if my parents choose to have a kid now, sure, it is their choice, but I would honestly move out ASAP. But these parents, who cry about not being allowed to live their lives on their own terms, villainize their own children if they want to maintain a distance (physical and emotional) from them. In a way, they are forcing their children to accept all their decisions.

I feel this show pushes this narrative of parents being human beings and having the freedom to pursue their own wishes and desires. But they do not do the same for children. If any of the 3 children wants to be independent and move out, these stupid Shahs and Anupama would create a ruckus.

Who is watching this show? I have refrained from watching it and only read WUs, but I am still so triggered.

Honestly this show is regressive in so many aspects. One of them is " bade humesha sahi hote hain" and many such like don't raise questions on parents/grandparents deeds.

Even Anupama supports this idea of parents worship. This suppresses children's freedom to share their ideas, ask questions and even correct adults because even adults may be wrong. No wonder all of three are still immature and dependent.

Like you said they should move out and take their responsibilities . SH is anyways very crowded.

Somewhere I feel Toshu was right about his decision of moving into the penthouse that his mil gifted him. Yes, it was gifted by his mother-in-law, but if they would have lived separately then I think Toshu would have been a more responsible and Mature person, he would have not cheated Kinjal, and I sometimes feel that even Kinjal also behaves like Anupama, even she should also take he career seriously.

Ps: Not justifying toshu's infidelity .

You took the point in a wrong way. If I am not wrong no-one is saying she didn't support. She had supported but also didn't encourage when they speak truth bombs to elders. I agree we shouldn't shout on elders and disrespect them but that doesn't mean should take all the crap in the name of sanskaar... Baa has rights to scold her grand children but not Kavya Kinjal. The way she behaves with them as if they are maids. Why Anupama never said woh ghar ki bahu hai tameez se baat karni hai. That was the main concern. When Kinjal replied back to Baa though everyone know she is very sweet but still Anupama said you shouldn't talk like that to her. None tried to understand her Pov.

And also the time when they were all at that carnival type of thing and Dimpy wasn't negative yet, Baa was insulting her because she was a rape survivor and saying she couldn't be her DIL. Dimpy gave it back to her and she wasn't even rude as such, and Anupama instead of apologising on Baa's behalf or defending Dimpy told her that she shouldn't talk like that to elders. Knowing fully well Baa was 100% wrong and that was such a horrible way to treat Dimpy, she told Dimpy sternly to not do "badtameezi" and respect her.
