I agree with this as well. So much was said and insinuated about us simply because we referred to funny statements made by a general set of Anupama's die hard stans (as a whole, not even just limited to this forum). And also that we hated on the actors, when we only spoke about the characters they are playing on the show, and that we were "spreading negativity" , while merely protesting against an extremely regressive narrative.
But here, there are members particularly saying these set of people have made the forum unwelcoming and not as nice as earlier and that it used to be so good etc., and they still haven't stopped, merely because we aren't putting up with any regressive garbage spewed to us in the name of entertainment. Even I'm one of the people who joined much later, I used to be a silent reader but how is that making us comfortable to post? In fact now even I feel hesitant to post things due to a weird worry about how it comes across to certain people. It isn't fair that suddenly the forum is negative to you because people don't have the same opinion. Maybe it's because the show and it's protagonist used to have potentional earlier so people rooted for her for a reason, and now that it's gone down the drain, what else can you expect? But this definitely needs to be addressed. Rules should be the same for everyone.
Also people can't be babied forever, they should learn, by themselves, to identify the difference between an actor and the character they're playing. When they themselves are mixing up actions of real life Rupali with the character Anupama and hence, targetting members who criticise Anupama's actions (and validly at that, she honestly hasn't done anything that deserves praise in a long long time), while blurring lines between the actor and character themselves, that's not done. I too read the posts you guys are talking about and it truly was upsetting.
