Eventhough you feel this forum has become unhealthy and unwelcome especially keeping in mind certain posts, you still felt safe enough to talk about all this in this supposedly unwelcome forum. Maybe the efforts from the moderator where we all restrained ourselves with relation to the show, actually helped for awhile.
You might have seen very beautiful times in the forum pre-Anuj entry (that's good that you have such good memories with relation to this forum), but at that time the show had that charm - and now, atleast in my perspective, not only has the show lost its charm, it has lost everything - you also realise how it has started losing its essence. I'm a pretty new member but I'm guessing - when it felt like the makers were promoting regressive stereotypes, people started trolling it.
Yes, people can stop watching and discussing this show, but they already know that - so maybe just like you like discussing with like-minded people; they too like coming here to discuss with like-minded people.
When there are so many members here, there will, of course, be a whole range of opinions. A big majority of the interactions here I find quite healthy. Rarely, things go a little out-of-control. And yes, it does. But I find it to be a small proportion compared to the rest.
It seems like you love Rupali a lot based on everything you have seen and heard - which is of course, completely upto you. But this is one of the rare times I have seen the personal lives of actors discussed and speculated in such depth and detail. We usually restrict discussions to the acting in this show and characters in the show. I'm sure you have certain specific posts in your mind which seem to have hurt your sentiments, but maybe just like you've come to certain conclusions based on social media, they too have come to certain conclusions based on social media. (Not justifying here, I will always think it's better to restrict ourselves to the show and the actors with emphasis on acting, when discussing on a public forum.)
I personally don't know Rupali and so don't have anything against her as a person.
I have read so many posts where people seemed to have liked her acting as Monisha, posts which are more neutral and sympathises with Rupali for having to act as Anupama for so long, posts which clearly show that all they care about is discussing the show, and don't wish to get involved in the personal lives of actors.
When an actress has such a big level of exposure in the ITV world, and when there are so many members here - it's natural for there to be members with a different opinion from you - I'm pretty sure you already know that?
Anyway, I just wanted to send you this once, that's all.
