Rakhi and Vanraj

Afrer watching yesterday's episode and all the earlier episodes too I noticed that Kinjal's father has no....which means really no say in any matter. Even in his daughter's marriage he has no opinion or it can be that Rakhi never let him have any say but the point is he is neither able corrects his wife nor does anything as his right as Kinjal's father. Whatever Rakhi decides whether right or wrong will prevail in their family. He had no say when Rakhi was sending Kinjal to US and even now when they are all talking about Kinjal and Paritosh's marriage he has not said anything or his perspective and not even corrected Rakhi. When Rakhi sent Police when Kinjal was missing he was nowhere and didn't stopped Rakhi from sending police at Anupama's house.

I am not saying that Kinjal's father is bad and I am not against him but I just don't understand why can't he express his will on matters and why he has to abide by Rakhi's decisions every time??

And as seen what I get is Rakhi is doing the same that Vanraj did with Anupama for all those years. Offcourse Rakhi is not cheating on her husband but in household matters Rakhi behaves the same way as Vanraj used to.

Rakhi don't let her husband have a say in any matter and she is the controller and the final decision is always hers and her husband can never change her decisions or make her understand her own mistakes. Just the same that Vanraj always did with Anupama.

I may be wrong but it's what I observed and thought after watching the episodes.

What do you all think? What are your perspectives on this?

Your analogy actually sounds just about it. She has dominated her relationship with him, because he came from a humble background, left his house for Rakhee's love and became a ghar jamai (similar to what she was trying to do to Toshu). Since maybe everything like the house and classes may have been given by Rakhee's parents, he might have ended up just shutting down. He did try to talk to her a few times about Kinjal's love and agony, but she took on the practical parent side and clearly stated why Kinjal could not settle in a house like that.

Maybe now that she has become full-fledged villain, they might show Pramod taking a stand for what is right too.

Rakhee has had the final say yes. Seeing the way her mom trampled over her dad maybe the reason Kinjal takes a strong stance about the CEOs post.

Today he spoke at the right moment and agreed for a simple wedding.

Yes, I have noticed it too. It is almost like he doesn't have any opinions.

For once, I do believe it is to make Rakhi a bad person. I have said it in many posts, CVs are hell bend on making Rakhi negative.

Keeping that in mind - She never insults him - ki aap ko kuch samaj me nahi aata, chup hi rahiye!

She is opinionative and he doesn't fight it. I have seen him disagreeing by gestures, but comparing him with Vanraj's treatment to Anu would be a bit unfair.

I can be a bit biased since I do like Rakhi's character. But I just happened to watch some old episodes, and Anu was treated worse than a maid. So I won't really compare these two cases.

He is not being insulted, looked down on, his daughter respects him, he doesn't really salve away on Rakhi's orders. Rakhi doesn't put her job over his and doesn't have a superiority complex when it comes to her husband. (She does have one with Anu)

When he accepted Kinjal's wedding idea - Rakhi did stay quiet. As a character, I would love to see him having his strong opinions. I am sure Rakhi won't oppress him as Vanraj did to Anu.

I feel, rakhi dominates over her husband while vanraj belittled Anupama.

Offcourse Rakhi don't insults her husband but what I meant was as Anupama had to abide by Vanraj's decisions on household topics like Toshu's marriage or their children's studies, etc, etc...Kinjal's father willingly or unwillingly abides by Rakhi's decisions.

That may be because makers haven't given him much space till now or he is so much in love with Rakhi or because he is a ghar jamai....but offcourse it will be nice to see his character's growth.
