April 15th tuesday:

Kanakku finds ACD near his jeep. ACD asks Kanakku again "who killed (othaikai)Subramaniam?" Kanakku says that he killed OKS. ( ennoda thinking - innum ethanai thadavai idhe kelvi, ore badhil session thodarumo theriyalaiye! 😕 ) ACD repeats his question and Kanakku repeats his reply. ( I stopped thinking 😳 ) ACD says that he know for sure Kanakku didnot commit the crime and he is protecting SKPD and asks Kanakku to think about his family who will be made to come to nadu theru by SKPD and advises him to turn an approver. Kanakku reiterates since OKS asked him to turn against SKPD , he killed him. ACD gets irritated and wonders if Kanakku wud kill him also since he asked him to become an approver. Kanakku muzhuchifies and ACD advises again. Kanakku says " u can put me in thooku, but still it was me who killed OKS" ( naangal ellam arisi maavu, kodhumai maavu than thookula poduvome, never knew ACD had a big thooku to accomodate Kanakku 😃 - sorry, today's episode has put me in a 'kadi' mood 😳 )
ACD is really agitated and throws Kanakku on the ground. ( idukku than seekiram kalyanam panniko solradhu , ippadi ellathukkum kova patta eppadi? manasu konjam shantham aagume. Indha Priya vai vera romba naala kaanome!)
ACD threatens him that it wud be very easy to arrange an encounter for Kanakku and asks him to consider his family again. Kanakku is taken away.

Camera shifts to Kerala - we get to know this by the Malayalam name boards and few boats. Manisha is still working with her glycerine and Anitha comes to her room after enquiry at the reception. Manisha opens the door and enquires "Anita?" and Anitha gives a similar response with her eyes - adhukkulla mugam rendu perukkum marandu poccha? Manisha is upset Rocky has not come and they both go into the room. Manisha voices her disappointment and Anitha says she was not sure if it was ok to bring Rocky and create problems. Manisha confirms she is still single. She talks about her chance friendship with Dinesh and her visit to their house and her seeing the photo album. Anitha is embarassed and says Rocky is not with the family, but in an orphanage. Manisha gets very angry , but Anitha pacifies her telling about various problems in her family starting from Shanthi's entry until now ( Thank God , she finished it within a minute - illaina idhaiyum marupadi marupadi naamum ketkanum). Manisha is sad 'Raji aunty' has passed away ( I find all this very contrived). Anitha assures the time has come now to reveal the truth & Rocky wud be accepted by a very kind Shanthi anni (ippo nallava aagitala?). Anitha says they can visit Rocky in Chennai and Manisha promises she wudn't claim thaai/pullai paasam. Manisha seeks permission from her MD who asks her to finish the show and go after 2, 3 days and Anitha agrees to wait till then.

Madhan, Rohini and junior RK have come happy - shopping for School accessories. Madhan gets a call and asks Rohini to continue and he goes outside. Rohini finishes shopping and comes to the cashier only to find her bill is already settled. She finds a vishama sirippu SKPD. Rohini gives the bill amount and asks the cashier to return the amount to SKPD. SKPD says Rohiniis also like a daughter since she is married to his daughter's husband. He says Rohini has had her share of married life and promises her a flat , bank deposits in hyderabad or b'lore in return for her signature in divorce papers. Rohini gets nervous when SKPD touches her son and she pulls him towards her . SKPD now has a good pagadaikaai. Naasooka he says - "ivan padichu perivan aagi paperla photo varattum, vera kaaranathukku photo vara veikaadhe". A visibly shaken Rohini leaves with her son and freeze on P.S.Veerappa style SKPD 😊

The first part I missed and the update is based on the story given by my family 😳 - Jamuna visits Mrs.Kanakku and repeats her advise - Ask your husband to become an approver against SKPD. Rohini is worried and Madhan enquires and she kottifies the threat given by SKPD.

Omni receives a call from orphanage incharge that Rocky is sick and has to be taken to the hospital. As Anitha is away, she wants Omni to take care. She agrees to go and informs Indhu ( another child has come in as Indu). Madhan is waiting at the petrol bunk and arrives SKPD. He kozhanjufies maapillai maapillai, but Madhan gives SKPD left and right. The divorce has been given years back and if SKPD doesn't want his daughter to be single, then get her married to someone else and not trouble him anymore or threaten Rohini. Madhan says if SKPD continues the same way, he wud koluthufy both father and daughter 😕. Madhan drives away in his car and SKPD dialogue ippadi irundirukkalaam - "podi po, unna enga adikanumo anga vechukaren" 😃 Some comedy with Srini and Vishnu about defreezing milk sachets etc. Srini also has come to defreeze his moolai and waiting in the hot sun.( They forgot to tell us the type of milk - skimmed, low fat , full cream or double cream - appo Srini moolai endha ragum nu namakku therinju irukkum 😛.) They then lament about losing the house of Abi and talk about gold biscuits of SKPD and finally end with opening bhajji and sundal kadai in Marina.

Karthik comes home to find Omni gone to take care of Rocky. He polambifies -" Anitha vai athanai kaai kaai nu kaachittu, ippo ivale poi irukkale , indha pombalaingala purinjukave mudiyalai".

Rohini goes to school to pick up her son and cannot find him. His friends and the watchman inform her that his grandpa has taken him ( chinna pasangala schoola eppadi munna pinna theriyadhavangaloda anuparaangalo puriyalai 😕 ). She is shocked to find junior in SKPD's car. She brings him down - kutti payan avan paatukku chocolate saapittu irukkan. SKPD again threatens her "naan kudukara settlement vaangittu engeyavadhu odi poidu, en ponnu than andha veetula vazha pora". Rohini edhavadhu pannen! ethanai naal adhe expression kaata pore? - freeze

I had guests and I might not have given the scenes in correct sequence as telecast😳. Sorry for that.

April 18th , friday: not much to update - more rambam

Anitha and Manisha are proceeding towards Rocky's ashram and are talking about Manisha's past - ella vishayamum repeatppa - Vijai death, Karthik kalyanam, widow remarriage, Manisha 's brothers wanting to kill the baby etc etc. Now one of her brothers is dead and her mother has agreed to Manisha bringing up her son. Manisha continues - till now Rocky has been kept out of RK's family, let it remain that way for ever and she wud take Rocky back with her. They reach the ashram to find that Rocky has gone with Shanthi cos of his illness. The lady in charge gives Manisha a curious look ( idhu en bramaiya kooda irukkalaam). Manisha is worried about Rocky's health and they both leave.
Madhan & family come to Charu's house ( puthu actress- idhe ratela pona inimel Anandham fans kooda maariduvome 😛 ) Charu is so paasa amma to Rohini and konjifies junior RK. Madhan tells her how SKPD has been torturing & threatening Rohini with her son. Charu gets angry and says Rohini has to consider her as amma ( so Rohinikku ippo rendu amma; Rohiniyoda original amma enge ponangalo theriyalai). Charu then asks Priya to reserve table at some restaurant for lunch.

Abi is going somewhere - u all must hv guessed - it is a restaurant and she goes to a table to find it is already reserved. She says she will eat only thayir saadham and leave, but the waiter directs her to another table. She is fretting and fuming when Madhan and Co with Charu arrive there. Next 10 minutes, the camera moves between erichal Abirami and the other 4 eating and chatting and eating and serving and smiling and eating.... vidungappa.

Thank God, the week is over and can rest for the next 2 days.

Update for Monday, April 21, 2008

Opening scene: Abirami is watching Rohini and Madhan with Charulatha in the restaurant. Charu asks the waiter for the bill and he says it came to Rs. 31 (or was it Rs. 51?) Either way, I would love to know which restaurant it was, since nowhere did I see such low prices. Abirami is burning up with jealousy.

Scene 2: Anita and Manisha are in a taxi. The taxi pulls up at Karthik's house, Anita gets out and asks Manisha to wait while she goes and gets Rocky. When she goes inside, Arjun is there. He asks her if she went to their house and saw his mother, she says No. She asks about Shanthi, is told by Karthik that she is in the kitchen, so she goes to the kitchen. Shanthi is frying something, (wonder where Nallan has gone), Anita thanks her for taking care of Rocky. Shanthi says anyone would have done the same. Anita asks where Rocky is, then goes upstairs to find him. Shanthi is thinking about something.

Scene 3: Manisha is waiting in the taxi. She sees RK come out, suddenly there is a flashback to an earlier picture of RK. He gets into the waiting car and drives off. Next, Arjun comes bounding out of the house, gets into the next car, and can be heard calling to Karthik to get into the car. Karthik says he will be there in a minute, again Arjun calls him, and Karthik gives the same answer again. Next, Karthik comes out and Manisha is watching from the taxi. Karthik gets into the car, but the car doesn't start. He has a bright idea - why not take Anita's taxi and go where we need to go, and then send the car back? Arjun agrees, so Karthik gets down and walks toward the taxi. Manisha is watching uneasily from the taxi, and just as Karthik is about to open the door of the taxi, Arjun calls out to him because he has managed to start the car. Phew! Narrow escape! Karthik gets into the car, and they leave without noticing Manisha.

Scene 4: Manisha and Anita are in the taxi with Rocky. Manisha is all teary-eyed, and Rocky wants to know why the Aunty is crying. Anita explains that she has some dust in her eyes, she is not really crying. Rocky wants to go to the beach instead of the doctor's place, Manisha agrees, so off they go to the beach.

Scene 5: Manisha and Anita are at the beach and Rocky is wading in the water and playing. He then builds a sand castle and declares his intention to build a house by the beach when he grows up, where everyone will have a room, including Aunty Manisha. Manisha gets teary-eyed again and rushes to him. He asks her why, and she says the waves were about to wash away his castle.

Scene 6: Manisha, Anita and Rocky are at the doctor's office. They want to know the results of the tests, the doctor asks the nurse to take Rocky into the adjoining office, and, as predicted by someone, announces the results - Rocky has blood cancer aka leukemia.

Scene 7: Commissioner's office - the lawyer comes and tells the commish that he has with him the orders to freeze SKPD's accounts. Commish tells him to be sure to apply for an extension before the due date - I guess that means he is going to forget the date and no extension application will be filed - and calls in JC Vincent and gives him the news.

Scene 8: Abirami is sitting in her room and replaying the restaurant scene in her mind. She resolves to get rid of Rohini and get her rightful place with her mother, then she packs her bag and leaves. PP tries to stop her and find out where she is going, but she leaves without telling her anything other than she will call and tell her later. FREEZE

Update for Tuesday, April 22, 2008

Opening scene: Anita and Manisha are in the doctor's office. He tells them that the cost of the surgery, as well as the medications to be given, will be steep. Manisha calls her boss and her insurance agent and makes arrangements to borrow money against her life policy as well as an advance from her company.

Scene 2: SKPD comes home and finds his mother looking agitated. She tells him about Abirami leaving the house without telling her where she was headed, and says that she hasn't heard anything from her, though it has been two or three hours since she left. SKPD is certain that Abi has gone to Charulatha's house, and dials her number. He puts the speaker on and asks his mother to talk (too scared to talk to her directly?) Charu answers the phone and PP asks her if she has seen Abirami. Charu says No, and she says that Abi will be a better person once she leaves SKPD's company. She also says that she knows that SKPD is listening on the speaker phone, and SKPD cuts off the line in a fit of anger. SKPD thinks she would have gone to her former house and goes to look for her there. PP delivers a speech about how she is not worried about Abi, who can live well by herself, but about SKPD, who will never give up his evil ways. SKPD leaves the scene.

Scene 3: SKPD goes to Abi's former house, the lock is hanging on the gate. The house is obviously vacant. For some reason unknown to me, the camera zooms in on the lock and out, in and out again, and so on. Wonder if there is any significance here, or is the cameraman trying out the zoom feature, in preparation for his next assignment, since this one is going nowhere?

Scene 4: Kanakku's wife goes to the jail to see him. He wants to know why she is there, and she tells him that she is being harassed by the police who want to know where the gold bricks are and who killed OKS? She tells him to come clean and confess, and that she doesn't like having to go and ask SKPD for money every time. She says they can go and live in some faraway place, unknown to everyone. He tells her that if he did that, he will be dead, and by then their time is up. She leaves.

Scene 5: Srini and Vishnu, our comedy relief pair, arrive at the jail, and Srini tells V not to say anything but watch how he extracts info about the gold from Kanakku. He sees Kanakku's wife coming out and talks to her (muted dialog). It ends with her saying that she does not know anything and leaving.

Scene 6: Abi is outside RK's door (as Roja had predicted). She calls him on his cell phone and asks him to open the door. He asks Rohini to open the door, she is standing outside with her bag in her hand. She says that she has left her father's house, he wants to harm Rohini and will not listen to her, they had an argument, she did not know where to go, and hence she is here. Shanthi, Karthik, Madan, and Rohini are all standing, frozen in place.

Wed Apr 23

Recap: Devious One (DO) explains to Spineless why she came there. She then continues, "I picked my bag and left but didn't know where to go. I am like an orphan". Spineless tries to pacify her and adds, you have the Porur house. DO: Oh no. I returned your house to you, mama. She then tries to justify by saying, Shanti was right in asking why I left home. But, I know that wherever I went, my dad would bring me over here and that's why I directly came here! (Adaada enna logic. Asathutta Abi,) Karthik, Rohini shake their heads. DO: Now my dad can't do anything. I don't have any bad intentions like my dad. Spineless: I know. Madhan snickers. DO: Please take me to my amma's house tomorrow. Until then, I'd like to stay in this house, even if I have to live like a servant. (Wait, that's like the story line from Kasturi. Oh no.) Karthik, Rohini stare disbelievingly at Spineless, who responds to DO: What's this? Come on inside. Shanthi, Karthik & Rohini are shocked. DO uses the chance to bow and touch Spineless' feet. Spineless asks Nallan to pick up DO's bag and take her to a room. RK moves away and DO follows Nallan, passing Madhan & Rohini. Shanti & then Karthik move away too. DO then pauses, steps back, checks to see others have left and first gives Madhan a sly look, before doing the same with Rohini.

Sarasu picks up the ringing phone at SKPD's house and it is Nallan from Spineless's house. Sarasu tells him that DO has left SKPD's house and disappeared. Nallan responds that DO is at Spineless's house and that's why he had called. They wonder why she went there. After the conversation Sarasu dutifully informs SKPD, who is thrilled. SKPD then gloats about how DO has gone where she was destined to go.

(Meaningless scene.) ACD seated in his office when Jamuna enters. They talk about the Inspector who shot VM and Jamuna gets worked up. ACD snickers and tells her to cool it, that Inspector has got a special award for killing VM. Jamuna is shocked and states how he was working out a deal with VM when they approached, which is why he shot VM. ACD explains that the local SP recommended the award. Now it is up to her (Jamuna) to collect the necessary evidence and then they can act against the Inspector.

Madhan walks up to the hall with Jr. RK and Rohini, while dragging a suitcase. He calls Nallan and asks him to call Spineless. While they are waiting, DO spots them from upstairs (Aamaam, DO room downstairs thaane irukku. Appa ava edhukku maela pona? Hmm. Baklava time.) Spineless is surprised Madhan has called him and mumbles something about it. When he shows up, he is surprised and asks Madhan, What's going on? Madhan starts a speech. I am grown up. I have my pride, my decisions, my family, my self-respect. Spineless: What's this .. using big words. Madhan: You made me talk like this. DO is watching from upstairs. Madhan: Don't you know that DO came here because of me? When you agreed for her to stay here, did you think of asking me? You didn't. I thought you would say no to her, but you agreed for her to stay! Spineless: When she had no place to go, how can I not act humanely? Madhan: You are big man. You can keep showing humanity. We can't. Every time you showed your greatness, we had to bow our heads in shame. Enough, we are leaving. Spineless is shocked and says, why didn't you object before when I said ok to DO? Karthik shows up outside his room with Indhu in tow and a suitcase, "You are saying that only now. (They walk up to hall.) When Shanthi spoke before, you insulted her by asking her not to talk to DO that way. (DO watches scene below.) Spineless: Karthi, you are speaking like this? Karthik: We were good, respectful people and kept quiet all along. Now, we need to live with pride and are leaving. Madhan adds, sorry pa. When you were being fooled when you were supposedly being humane, we were feeling helpless. I can't stay here to look at DO's face. We have to leave. Rohini adds, mama, I am not leaving becuase I don't like you. I only don't like your decision. We will not come back while DO is here, but you are welcome to visit us. Spineless is shocked and crying when DO walks downstairs. She continues her act, offering to leave and asking Spineless to call others back.
SKPD walks in on them and starts shouting at DO who argues with him. He elaborates that he wanted her to return to this house with the same respect she had before. When Spineless objects, syaing Madhan is married with a child. SKPD questions him, just as you can wish your son well, why can't I wish well for my daughter. DO shouts at SKPD asking him to leave. Spineless then says, DO, your dad is right. You need to leave. DO tries to justify again, mama, how can I leave you alone. Spineless responds, No. I have to rethink my decisions. So far I was making unilateral decisions and forced them on others and now realize it was not correct. (Adadaa. Bulb eriyidhu ippo). I need to think about this matter alone. Please leave with your dad. DO is shocked. SKPD is happy. Freeze on DO's trademark painful look.

Recap of manga crying and Abi showing concern about leaving behind a " sulking lonely maama" - but goes up to pick her bag. Maanga goes to his wife's photograph and cries - "look Raji, every one has deserted me and gone, what did I do wrong??" Raji has a fixed smile - (maanga, na appove sonnen, antha DO vai nambathennu, kettiya?? Inimel buthi varumaa??) Abi takes leave, maanga cries and SKPD comforts - "Sir , I am telling you again, my daughter will come back to your house with
all the rights..." Abi shuts him up in mid sentence and the duo leave (nalla drama aadaraanga rendu perum!!! SKPD sonnathu is 100% correct - My daughter!! If i jump 8 feet, she jumps 16!!! 😳 )

Anitha and Manisha with Rakhi's doctor - Doctor says that Rakhi's condition is becoming worse and the treatment has to start asap. Manisha asks the doc to start it " the money will be with you soon" Anitha wants to know if they should wait for the money from Omni but Manisha declines any help. Anitha finally asks if Manisha is not afraid of what might happen to Rakhi. A cool Manisha says that Anitha has been protected all through her life but Manisha always had to fight through life. She adds some thing positive - "my son has not come in to this world to die so soon" (way to go my dear, hope CR has this faith as well - one more child getting bad treatment.....grrr)

Maanga doing a Chandramathi act - visions of Madan, Karthik, SKPD giving a bit of their minds to maanga - Nallan comes with a glass of milk, switches the light on and maanga vents out to poor Nallan -
" look Nallan, every one has deserted me!!! They tell me that all these days they kept quiet because of respect!! So, all have been acting??/ How can I send my darling DIL out when she comes and asks for asylum??? Now every one will talk that Abi drove away all in my family and what an injustice to that girl??(apdi podu aruvaalai, nee innum
maanga thaana??? marave maatiyaa?) Nallan talks about having salt from both Abi and maanga - finally shows his wisdom with a nice statement - "when people obey some one who is in power, it is called as respect. Similarly, reading others minds is a skill" (unakku antha skill iruntha nee ipdi azhanumaa?? awww Nallan, Roja applauds) scoots the arena and maanga can not stand Nallan pointing out his weakness.

Arjun goes to Abi's place and shouts at her - "won't u ever change?? u went to maama's place and threw his sons out??" Abi is wisdom personified - "why do u ask me?? u should pose this Q to those two sons who care two hoots about their dad" Makes the securities to throw Arjun out.

Anitha and Arjun's mom visit maanga - maanga sulks so much that it is flashed in the newspapers as headlines and all the TV stations are doing a special talk show - Arjun's mom consoles that every house has fights like this. " If there is just respect and obedience all the time then, it is more of a Mutt , not a house. They are all here only, have not flown out of the country..." Maanga says that from now on he should cease being a "madathipathi" and learn to think like a dad ( appa da
at last!!! the problem is that u will play dad for darling DIL, ange thaan kozhappam starts!!) Anitha's MIL wants maanga to come and stay with them but he declines.

Abi drives her bug and goes somewhere - some remote deserted place - she is stopped by Charu's men Abi shouts - the same old Abi - (reformed drama lam gone sayam veluthacch) The men tell her that Madam Charu wants to see her. Abi can not fathom the nadu road
conference ( means that she does not want u to step in to her house - Yenga soft Vsur kitteye DO nnu pattam vangittiye!!) Abi goes to Charu and salutes - Charu (an apology for old Charu..... and the Tamil diction hmmmmmm) is surprised at the respect. Abi says that since Charu adopts suffering women as her daughter and engages in welfare activities, the chance of her becoming a minister is looming large -
" I might as well respect u now and claim credit later" Charu wants to know why Abi chose to play with maanga's clan. Abi says that Charu is the reason - " I begged u so much to accept me. U did not. I don't plan to beg any more. And whoever gets your affection is my enemy and I would never let them live in peace" Charu says that Abi's mom does not accept her as a daughter only because of this attitude. Abi says that she could not care less - " I have a fire inside me and it will burn those whom u cherish" Charu in her horrible Tamil accent says " U are wrong. That fire will only burn you and once that happens, u will have nothing left for u" -leaves. Abi is still in Nadu theru...squinting....

Madhan and Rohini at Charu's house. Madhan states that he couldn't stand DO and his dad allowed her to stay in their hourse. Charu explains to them that they were hasty in leaving Spineless. They should have stayed back and explained the situation, especially since he (Madhan) was the eldest son. After Madhan states that DO also left the house , she points out that DO was smart and Spineless' 2 sons were not! She then adds that she was blunt only because she cared for Spineless family.

Madhan & Rohini show up at Spineless' house and Madhan says I am sorry for having left you. Now we want to move back in. Spineless goes into this line of telling them no, I have realized I was wrong all along about not consulting you children. If you move back in I have to check with all of you each time a decision has to be made and we may disagree again. Its best you stay where you are and I'll be here alone. I can always visit you as needed. Madhan & Spineless counter each other with, you haven't forgiven me & no, I forgive you! From all this it is clear Spineless still didn't get it.

Omni calls up Ashramam head and apologizes for not having called earlier due to prachanai at home. Adada, Spineless veettalai prachanaiya! oh no She promises to come by in 2 days and admit Rakki in the hospital. Ashramam head informs her that Rakki has been admitted 2 days before. Shanthi is surprised and upon further enquiry is informed that Anitha admitted the boy. In fact, Anitha has been with him for 2 days, along with a lady from Kashmir. Ingaththaan vishiyam puriyalai. Omni heard the reference to "Kashmir lady being with Rakki", anaa ava mugathila onnummey light eriyalaiyae? eppadi?

Inspector Narendra (from Mettupalayam) and SKPD are out in the forest talking. SKPD prods him about the balance of the commission he paid VM but Narendran won't admit. Finally SKPD spills out that he knows that not only did Narendra pocket the 25 lakhs for disposing VM (from SKPD), but once he had finished VM he had sold the 15 cents land VM had purchased near Mettupalayam, by using forged pre-dated stamp documents and pocketed 76 lakhs, etc. Narendran conceded defeat and professes total loyalty to SKPD. SKPD says all I ask is that when you are transferred to Chennai, you only be loyal to me. Narendran says he will everything as per SKPD's bidding. SKPD holds Narendra by the sides of his upper arms and ..tada .. someone is video taping them via a cell phone camera. This secret onlooker then proceeds to send the video via SMS to .. Inspetcor Jamuna! Jamuna is travelling in a police jeep when she sees a message coming in and watches the video!

Jamuna and ACD are at JC's office and show him photos of SKPD & Narendran. (Photos were supposedly from the video SMS but the angles of some photos claim to be from near their feet! romba vedikkai.) He is convinced they had a good friendship even before these photos were taken. ACD tells him that they believe Narendran killed VM to protect SKPD. JC says he will show the photos to PC.

Postman shouting at door and Priya appears (Bon, unga aasaiya marukka mudiyumaa?) Its a letter without postage and also w/o a return address and he wants Rs 12 which Priya refuses to pay. Charu appears and asks her to pay the postman. She reads the letter - it is from OKS! He reveals that he was the one who had taken SKPD's gold which Kanakku had buried in his backyard. He states where he has buried it. He says he has a feeling his luck was running out and hence wrote this to Charu madam. He wants her to use this gold to make the police grill SKPD and put him in jail. Freeze.

monday apr 28:

Omni asks Karthik Rs. 3 Lacs for Rocky's treatment. Karthik wonders how Shanthi is continuing what she accused Anita of doing. Omni clarifies that she was not averse to Anitha helping the boy, but only to the false reasons Anita gave for her expenses. Karthik learns about Rocky's disease & agrees to help the boy and both of them plan to visit the hospital.
