Anwesha never got highest votes - Why?? - Page 2

There are a couple of good singers who are quite effortless and sing well but due to rules we cant mention names and compare.

Well Jaya, its probably cos Anwesha is just about singing and singing. She doesn't have any story to share that would get her tons of votes. In such shows, people vote for many reasons. Maybe her song selection is not "mass-appealing". It could be a variety of reasons. She is the Nihira of VOI-CI. 😊

Anwesha is a singer and needs to emote through her voice and not through her facial expressions... If you see the track record of Anwesha, she has rendered songs from different genre, different moods and requiring different vocal expressions all so beautifully, that the last thing one should do is doubt on her expressive singing... I would say, she has shown the max versatility in the show with equal ease and confidence.... She appears the one who is most down to earth, very humble and most matured...

I read X-factor.. I would say, it depends on what you define as X-factor.. Yes, for kids - if we say that its the bachpana and the cute factor and the overflowing enthusiasm and their naughtiness of eyes that counts, yes probably thats where she scores less than the other kids...

Sad that we always tend to forget that these are singing contests and the person with the best talent needs to win.. The rest is all secondary!

It is true she is an Awesome singer and do not misunderstand what I have said.
The topic is why she is not getting votes?These could be the reasons why public may not vote and not what you and I think as we can discriminate the good from the average.
The reasons stated are not what I feel but why public is not voting.Also these days most of the performances being on stage ... I guess people look for an overall package and not like earlier days when they use to sing behind the stage and if they sang well was good enough..
But with stage performances probably the junta are looking for good singing with some performance and x factor and popularity .Inspite of fantastic singing sometimes singeres are not able to touch or connect to people for reasons I cant explain.All these factors play a role in determining the votes I suppose so.
All of them who come here are good singers otherwise they will not be choosen.So the other factors must be playing a major part... in inspite of her perfect singing it is sad that perfection is not getting its due but will some day get recognized and it is a matter of time.I hope both Aishwarya and Anwesha come to the finals as they truly deserve it.

The saddest part of these shows is that much depends on regional voting and even judges and channels encourage this.So the first reason for Anwesha not getting high votes may be this.If you accept this brutal truth it may also be a fact that another singer in another show --Bangla speaking-may be garnering votes from the region.
Secondly,voting public does not always recognize the differnce between great singing and good singing.
Anwesha,as the judges rightly pointed out last week,is "thinking" too much about her rendering.Shreya put it so nicely.
Aishwarya is an equally talented singer,but the diffence is that she has performed so many stage shows and is quite comfortable with herself in stage presentation.
Fortunately,as the format goes,both these girls may be in the finals--hopefully it will be a three-way race there and Anwesha,Aish,Prakriti may be in finals.Though,Gaj ji may not like all-girls final.
At this stage they should bring in other neutral judge or judges to decide the winner-not public voting.Say,Pt Jasraj,Ghulam Mustfa,Vishal-Shekhr,Shankar etc.Anyways,they are not getting millions of votes.Why not forgo SM in finals? Star can afford this.
Whatever the results,Anwesha has made a niche for herself in singing world.
We have also to brace up for the fact that the best rarely win--Nihira,Hema,Karunya,Abhilasha-all lost as pointed out by Varsha and others..Anwesha will be in good company--sory to sat this.

Very well said.All the singers Hema.Nihira,Karunya and Abhilasha and Abhaas as u mentioned above are all fantastic singers who sang effortlessly and were very good in there craft.They are all outstanding ...all were technically perfect good voices and classically trained and all of them very humble and devoted lot.None of them won so it is now becoming the trend that the good ones will not win.

Why get surprised about voting pattern when the trend is already known.

to me and (hopefully) to a lot of other people Anwesha is one of the best singers ever...and I guess being tht good requires being able to emote...
Now, I didn't wanna say this earlier but now tht we've got different opinions in the open, I thgt I will mention it.....How many of you have seen Lata Ji perform live or on telly....she's always got the same expression on her face too...I rest my case...Lata Ji personifies the word legend so I was a bit scared giving her example...but when I read a lot of ppl claiming/complaining that Anwesha can't emote or that she's not lighthearted or that her singing is mechanical...I cudn't control my emotions😳...so I cudn't keep it inside me any longer...
Just to clearify, so that there aren't any rash inferences....I remember watching Lata Ji sing Mere Khwabon mein jo (with Kajol as a guest performer) and then a dozen other songs from her repertoire that night but her facial expressions never changed and they never do, I mean singing is second nature to her and Anwesha is no different.....I mean think of Lata Ji singing and I am sure we will all picture the same thing....

I know the topic in discussion is Why Anwesha isn't getting enough votes?...and you've merely tried to put forward the reasons that you think are responsible for the same...not from your point of view but from a general point of view.
Now, I would just like to mention tht IF is one big medium and that a lot of fans/critics and sometimes even the makers of a certain show come online to check how ppl are reacting...

I understand that, but sadly quite a few ppl don't. They take it as your opinion as to why she shouldn't get enough votes. Also, everybody has got a right to have their own favs and so, Anwesha can't be everybody's fav. So, unfortunately there are a few ppl who will build upon posts/statements like these and claim why their fav is better by criticizing the other contestants. I believe that its perfectly fine in praising or encouraging people you like, but it becomes a negative approach when you start criticizing the rest. So, being a fan/supporter it becomes imperative to speak out/defend whatevr you wanna call it...
I hope the words have not failed me here and tht I have managed to explain whts going inside my head
