Anwesha never got highest votes - Why??

Most of us in the forum and the world over believe that Anwesha is a singing genius and is the best talent that has been there on a reality show for years now! Even the first J - the Judges have given her a Super Sarvottam all the time and she has got a standing ovation from them too...

Yet - its sad enough to see that the secong J - the Junta has never even given her the highest votes.. more frustrating that she comes in the scaryland so many times...

With the contest almost reaching its finale where the final decision will be most likely be taken by the second J only.. its time for her to top the oublic voting as well..

Why do you think she has not got max votes so far inspite of her best singing? What can she do to reach there?😊

its just that maybe her fans r not the kinds who usually vote....but its a gud point jaya...i am so scared that she may not win because in the end they might leave it to the junta completely...i think she cannot do much as such except continuing to perform exceptionally well which she will anyways do...maybe now i shud start campaigning in my circle for her 😆

well I've said it time and again...I have always felt the judges and the guest judges are a bit biased when it comes to giving post performance remarks/comments.
Do i need to remind you of the Alka Yagnik episode...I am sure all of you were as taken aback as I was...
Having said all that, there is a big section of the big J, the junta, that doesn't consider it a singing show, for them it is an entertainment show(thanks to the producers), so the best entertainer(or the so called 'drama-artist') gets away with their vote

I think that inspite of giving one awesome performance over the other, Anwesha has still not got the max votes because of some reasons

1. There are many good singers in the show incl Aishwarya, who started as a favorite, and the music loving junta would often end up voting for both the girls and other talented kids like Soniya, Jayant etc as well

2. She keeps the lowest profile amongst all the kids, and hence is perhaps not promote as such by the channel as well.. This has come out as her being reserved, too serious, etc by some and hence she does not get the emotional votes

3. People do vote for all sorts of non-musical reasons and so far she has not budged to cater to any of that.. Hence lower votes come to her kitty

4. Overall, the number of votes polled in is lower and hence the fluctuation of votes for all the kids

I think, very soon the decision will go entirely in the hands of junta... So, we - all her fans, will have to take it upon us to spread the good word around and see that she does stay on till the very end and better still, win the contest!

I think in spite of being an excellent singer she is not getting votes because she is too serious and the expressions on her face while singing is the same for all the songs.may that is the resaon she is not able to connect to aam aadmi.She shd open up a little and not look so tensed and serious and be at ease.As this is not classical singing and it is film songs she should emote more feelings and be a little more light hearted .This is my opinion and how I felt.while Aishwarya is lighthearted and is very friendly and sings her songs with a lot of ease.

well, no offense, but I've to differ with you.
First of all, i don't find her serious at all, on the contrary I find her very sincere and focused all the time. Also, I've mentioned elsewhere that she taps into the feeling of the song excellently. She looked extremely cheerful while singing the likes of Tumhari adaon pe, Ami Je Tomar, barso re megha and very poised while singing Hddcs, is mod se etc...
I think she connects to the aam admi more than anyone else...that is the reason that most of us here on IF are rooting for her success and consider her a phenomenon, I guess all of us here at IF qualify as aam admi.

Again, I don't mean to offend ....firstly, I think being classically trained is big plus for any aspiring singer...most of the great singers we have are classically trained. Secondly, being classically trained adds to the emotions doesn't hampers it.

As far as Aishwarya is concerned, I've got nothing against her... she is a great talent in her own right but how you worked out that she is more friendly and lighthearted than Anwesha, I cudn't understand.

In the end, I will just like to mention that this is meant to be a singing show and not an entertainment show.

Both the girls are very talented in there own way and Anwesha is more focussed and she knows she is there to sing and never makes mistakes but why one is getting less votes ... could be the reason I stated.We all know it is a singing show which is entertaining all of us and how many purists who watch will vote and how many who vote are purists is the question.
In ASVOI Abhilasha was so talented and classically trained and the judges went ga ga over her and she sang with a lot of feelings in her song but yet lost.
Votes is not a index of who sings well and who is classically trained ..it is who appeals to the masses and not the classes and the purists ..it is so unfortunate.Its money making for TV channels.How many of us who talk over here really vote?
Someone who is classically trained may not necessarily sing with a lot of feelings.They may be perfect and technically flawless.I am not pointing to anyone.
Most of the reality shows the deserving never wins so lets not debate and fight over it as we all had innumerable debates and discussion over this.
There is another show where the best of the best are singing and is a great show with a cause but zero participation and discussions over there by the music lovers..It is sad. .

The topic was abt why she is not getting votes and not whether she is good or bad.We all know she is good.You and I may like a perfectionist but what are the voters looking for?

I completely agree with you...also its true that not all who discuss and debate here vote...so the moral of the story is to keep voting for one's fav contestants...
