T he channel kept them under wraps for all these days.. understandably. But even now that they've been officially unveiled on the show, the actresses refuse to reveal much about their real selves. Even their answers are in sync. So, what are your real names? Ambar and Dhara. We all know your screen names.. what are your actual names? (Long pause) Our real names are Ambar and Dhara Dixit. So you're related? We don't need to be related to have the same surname. How did you land the roles? Producers, Vikas and Siddhart, approached us. We gave a screen test and were selected. It was that simple. Were you in two minds before tak- ing up the project, given that you play conjoined twins? We weren't aware of the con- cept while auditioning. But even later, we didn't think twice, because everyone had a lot of faith in the suject and project. What if either of you had a con- joined twin? There are so many conjoined twins leading perfectly happy lives. We might think it's an unfortunate birth accident, but it's the other way round. We've read a lot on such sib- lings.. they lead normal lives. It's just a very different world. Did you meet any conjoined twins before starting off with this show? No, we read a lot of books and watched videos. Was there much training involved? Yes, we've trained for nearly eight months.. Sleeping, eating and dancing together. We even learnt how to play table tennis together. What were you two doing before AmbarDhara? Nothing. Where are you from? Panchgani. (Here we go again) What're your educational back- grounds? Ambar: I'm a graduate (produc- er prompts).. in Arts. (Didn't Ambar flunk her exams?) What about you, Dhara.. Arts? Dhara: No.. Commerce. Do you have real siblings? Dhara: Yes, I have Ambar. Ambar: And I have Dhara.
