When the team entered the store, the first person they saw was the man they were searching for. They introduced themselves and asked him to answer some questions. The man agreed. He took them to the staff room so that they could talk in private.
"Did you make a call two days ago from the phone booth near the store? At around 8:30 in the morning?" Trisha asked him.
"Yes ma'am." The man replied.
"The man you called was our CBI chief. Why did you call him? And what did you say?"
"I said that 'vidushak' has told me to give this message to him. A bomb has been fitted on a bus whose number I can't remember right now. The bus has been hired for a picnic trip for some school students and there is no way in which the bus driver can be warned. He needs to go to the garage immediately and stop the people from getting on the bus."
"And you just delivered the message without any questions?" Trisha asked surprised.
"Ma'am he told me that he is a CBI officer. He showed me his badge. And I thought that this is important as he said there is a bomb on a bus, so.." the man said.
"Did you read his name on the badge?" Raghav asked him.
"Yes. It said Dilip Chauhan."
The team exchanged glances on hearing it.
"And did he look like this?" Raghav showed him Dilip Chauhan's photo.
"Yes! Exactly!" The man exclaimed.
"Wonderful" commented Trisha.
"Have you ever seen him since that day?" Raghav questioned.
"His employee has been visiting the store since then to buy supplies and medicines from our store pharmacy. He comes in Chauhan's car."
"Have you seen it's numberplate?" Rajbir enquired.
"No sir, why would I see the numberplate? All I know is that it was a big, black car. Omni.
Yes, it was a black omni."
"When did they last come here?"
"Today morning, around ten o clock."
"If he is buying medicines, that means Mr Chauhan is alive." Rajbir said while exiting the store. "But we don't have the number of the car. How will we track it?"
"The numberplate would have been fake, I'm sure. It would have been useless." Raghav said.
"Then? What do we do now?" Asked Swati.
"There's one way. We can see how many CCTV cameras are there in this area. Then look for the black Omni in the area around ten o'clock and try to follow it's path through the CCTV cameras on the road."
After following Raghav's plan, they found the location where the car was last spotted. After arriving at that place, they started their search and finally found the car parked in a parking lot of an under construction building. Raghav and Trisha ran towards the car, gun in their hands, but found it empty. The team then searched the whole building and finally on the topmost floor, they found a locked room. Raghav examined the door for a long time to make sure that it wasn't another trap. They broke into the room and found their chief lying in a bed.
