Prologue
It was pitch black. Raghav couldn't see his own hands. But he could feel his whole body trembling, the uncontrollable tears falling thick and fast from his own eyes. He slowly opens one door of the cabinet where he was hiding and peeks out into the room. He sees the man with his father. The man who instills a fear in him that no one else does. And then he sees the man doing what he does every time Raghav peeks out of the cabinet. He stabs his father. Blood splashes on the walls. His father screams and sinks to the floor.
Raghav cries silently. After a moment, he comes out of the cabinet and goes to his father who is now silent, dead. He tries to wake him up, fruitlessly, hoping against hope, that all is not finished. He suddenly hears a gunshot behind him. He turns and finds a new addition to his daily nightmares, Bikram lying on the floor, eyes wide, gunshot on his chest. Raghav drops to the floor horrified, and finds his hands covered in blood. Bikram's blood.
Raghav wakes up with a start and finds himself sweating profusely. He is sitting on a sofa placed at one side of the room. Bikram is lying on the hospital bed in front of him. The monitors are beeping, assuring him by showing the steady heartbeat of his friend, assuring him that his friend is still alive, assuring him that all is not lost. He relaxes a bit and looks to his right and finds Trisha sitting beside him on the sofa, looking at him with concern on her face and tears in her eyes, silently weeping.
P.S. I intend to solve the mystery of vidushak in this ff and make raghav propose trisha and making them a couple. Which means happy ending is guaranteed. This is my first ff. I've never written a story in my life. Do comment on reading. Any criticism would b e very helpful and appreciated. And any ideas for the title would be very helpful.
