Since you are both in school,

In lessons or at the end of them I would go up to him and say

"Oh hey [Blank name] I saw you at the diwali party, how come you didn't come up to say hi..." from there start a conversation..

Add him on facebook, msn or bebo.

Start talking on there.

Try giving him a call.

You have to make the move first

You can't expect him to come up to you with nothing to say,

Give an update after you try one of those.
