KD decides to examine the accident in which Karan became like this and learns that the accident wasn't an accident, but rather a deliberate set-up to ruin Karan's business which was thriving. After the accident, Karan hasn't been able to go back to his business, which his father tried to handle, but it flopped without Karan at its reins. KD is now sure that Karan had nothing to do with what happened to Naseem and it is someone else who is using Karan as the scapegoat. He visits Dave to see the evidence they collected at the scene of the accident and finds a locket which interests him a lot.

KD takes out a file and notices Iqbal's picture. He was wearing the same locket which they got. Blood strains were there on the locket and through forensic it was proved that those strains were of Iqbal actually and they were a few days old. KD concludes that Iqbal is alive. Now he thinks that who died in the accident and where is Iqbal? Are all these incidents related to Naseem?

KD tries to find information about Iqbal's family and finds a sister. He visits the sister who says that she has nothing to do with Iqbal anymore. KD asks for something to confirm whether the dead body is that of Iqbal's or not, and the sister provides her DNA. As KD is leaving, his eyes fall on the photos in the hallway and he sees a recent photo of Salma, the sister, and Iqbal at the Fame Theatre in Malad. He understands that Salma is lying, but doesn't confront her and merely leaves after thanking her.

Next day in the court, KD again repeats that his client has nothing to do with the terrorism. He takes out a paper in which 2nd September was written and says that blast is going to take place on that day. He clarifies that salma had kept this paper with her and is Iqbal's sister, Iqbal is alive. Salma is sitting in the court and starts acting as if she is totally unaware of everything.

BTW, 2nd September is my b-day...😆

Salma tries to get up and escape unnoticed, but KD notices and Salma is caught at the last minute. In the khatghara she says that she doesn't know what KD is talking about and she was leaving because she didn't want to be blamed for something unnecessarily. Then KD shows a copy of the photo he had seen in the house and points out the obvious sign that it was taken a week ago. The date is stamped in the corner. Salma breaks down and says yes that Iqbal is alive, but she doesn't know where he is or what he is planning.

KD asks Salma that what was the last time when he contacted her? Salma replies that 2 days ago Iqbal contacted her and told that he will come to meet her within 10 days. KD tells her to give the no. through which he contacted her. Salma said that the call was from any Private no. and so she doesn't know about that till now. The judge orders police to keep an eye on Salma's house and catch Iqbal whenever he comes. KD starts searching details about 2nd september.

Meanwhile KD launches a side investigation into finding Iqbal. Varun finds information that Iqbal is in Delhi and KD sends him to Delhi to find Iqbal at the address that Varun had found. Varun reaches the address to find that it is a private home for seniors. He questions the staff who tells them that a man named Iqbal had been staying there, but had left 2 days ago after calling someone. Varun tells this to KD who goes to visit Salma again.

KD visits Salma and while he is asking, he notices a pair of sleepers which were of no. 10 and surely it wasn't Salma's. He pretends as if he didn't see anything and tells Salma that Iqbal left his Delhi residence two days ago and may contact her. He further reminds her that she has to inform them whenever he contacts or comes here. Then only KD starts coughing and tells her to bring water, Salma goes inside and KD starts searching something that would guide him to the blast. He spots a file and quickly takes a few snapshots. Salma comes and gives him water, he doubts her and dumps the water hiding from her. In his office, he views the snapshots on his laptop and is shocked.

The snapshots show an intricate map of the area that was blasted and there are several markings. KD looks through the police files and discovers that the areas marked in his snapshots are the same places where the bombs were placed. He finds one mark which is different than the rest. In the police files, it shows the position of a dead body: the one that was considered to be that of Iqbal. Now KD is sure that Iqbal is the culprit, but he needs to find Iqbal first.

KD calls Dave and explains him everything concerning him about the blasts. Dave is alert and orders his men to keep an eye at those places. KD meets Naseem and tells him all the matter, Naseem is just shocked and seems to be helpless. He says that this case is now turning worse and many innocent lives are connected to it. KD consoles him and says that he will save all the people including him. Next day in the court KD doesn't reveal the true matter as salma too was there. The judge asks him for any evidence that would prove Naseem innocent.
