Yes, my dear, I have heard of Harold and Maude. Are you comparing their romance to the same movie? Give me a break.
All things said, you weren't kidding about having everything spelt out . . . explicitly for you . . . no, I'm not comparing the 2 romances (whatever that would entail) . . . I suggest that age is not always a factor . . . furthermore, it should have no bearing on anything . . . whoever made the comment about it being UNTHINKABLE that a 22 yr old could be attracted to a 30 year old is astonishngly lacking a basic understanding of human behavior which even on a good day is a mind boggling enigma! Plain Jane notwithstanding, it is absolutely possible for 2 people to be in love despite what others consider proper or their own physiognomies allow . . . in this instance the writers are not far off the mark . . . sorry, but while I'm not about to disclose my age (not quite a Maude yet), I've been on the planet long enough to know humans to be bizarre to unimaginable levels . . . particularly when the emotional part of the brain is in the driver's seat . . .
All the hysteria about this is hysterical! 😊
Have you not seen the earlier episodes???
Well . . . I kinda got entrapped a wee bit late into the serial but not that far behind . . . why do you keep harping about the character being plain as chalk incapable of attracting anyone much less an Abhi type kid . . . why does that hold such fascination for you? To the point that you would puke?! Ever read the phantasmagoria that came out of the Bronte sisters?!! Now there's bizarre . . . second to none . . . characters totally demented . . . but not like any demented apt to be seen on the road . . . yet, people lap it up . . . and you're not familiar with the case (some 8 years ago was it?) of that teacher (cannot recall her name) who while married seduced one of her middle school students (he looked mature for his age)?!! Then she got time to cool her heels in the slammer for statutory rape? Then she came out, divorced her husband, married the love of her life and began procreating?!! Oh . . . all along he loved her too!!
THAT"s real life darling! I'll try and dig it up if there is interest . . .
KB is almost rrefreshing in comparison . . . it certainly is a veritable 'breath of fresh air' in comparison to the other stuff on Indian TV that rightfully causes one to regurgitate. My faith in the ability of Indian TV to be relatively iconoclastic is no longer irretrievably shattered . . . that's not to suggest that KB will not descend into unadulterated drivel some day . . . we're just not there yet . . .

I am highly disturbed that you would describe the relationship between an adult woman seducing a 12 year old as a romance. It might be real life but was illegal and not normal. For the people from India who don't know the woman was jailed and was no longer allowed to see her children. Parents entrust their children with adult people; if a child develops a crush on that person, then it is the adults role to explain to them that the sexual relationship between them is wrong. The person in this question was suffering from bipolar disorder and extreme mental health problems and is a registered sex offender to this date. She is a child pedophile. We have studied this case as I have worked for a number of years with victims of sexual abuse and have addressed cases of women who are in positions of teaching or social work and have engaged in sexual liasions with their clients who are between the years of 15-18. It does not matter if these women marry their victims. We have men who marry their sexual victims in other countries - that does not make it right. These women are highly disturbed.
For you to highlight this as an example of a May-December romance is highly disturbing.

not every guys goes for a thin stick sexy looking wannabe models, there are guys who would prefer simple girls like simi, then those party loving babes who change there boyfriends like there skirts. yes simi has insecurities thanx to her psycho, vile, bully mother ,but abhi understands that & it will be his love that will make her overcome those niggling doubts about her self, thanx to her mother who always criticised her on her weights, age & looks

this show is brilliant it's dealing with issues that have been brushed under the carpet before, love happens between a younger guy & elder woman all the time. also there are 2 types of guys, those who are only after one thing & the makers of this show have beautifully portrayed that element, in the neetu & that evil vicky story line. whilst on the other hand they are showing a sensible & genuinely in love guy like abhi, for whom compatibility & simplcity holds far more importantance, than how sexy his woman should look.

so for me this show is refreshing change, from all those boring saas bahu sagas, im just baffled that this type of stigma still exists in 21st century.it's ok for older guy to a romance a teenager, but when the man is younger it becomes an issue. just hope makers keep the show as realistic & simple as they have done so far. im loving it & so are many others

exactly this is how I feel about simi and abhi love does not see race color or size . love is blind and that is the reason I loved saat phere where Nahar a handsome rajkumar falls in love with a dark girl from an ordinary family who has been rejected all her life by men because of her color.. I love this show and abhi simi because they are some real ppl and fragile with all their vulnerability and thier flaws
Simi is a very desirable woman and not every one goes for perfect figure dumb head bimbo. some men prefer their partner to be their companion rather that are smart inteligent and good hearted person who they can trust with their lives . In this age such girls are in rarity as most every one wants to get maried and snatch away a son from their parents just like Anita. With Simi in abhi's life abhi will never have to worry about his family.
I don;t understand why every one is asking why simi should be prize possetion?. Because she has a heart of gold and that is her best quality apart from that she can lay her life for the ppl she loves and she proved that to abhi already so why wouldn't abhi think simi is the best thing that happened to him He already said such things indirecctly to simi in the temple after anuj anita's wedding. To me that is a enough exlanation. abhi may be thinking of her as his teacher mentor who can help him live a better life. hi sexacts words were maine tumhi se sikha hai dusero ke liye kaise jiya jata hai
Beside love needs no explanation ye to kisiko kisi ke satth ho jata hai.

Nice point, but it's an adirable quality but not what you build a life long relationship. Yes, love does need an explanation. As a writer when you bring two characters together you have give a reason for something to happen, it has to make sense. If not, then you will have readers and viewers say it makes no sense. Some people will accept Simi as the prized possession, but there are those who question and don't just take things at face-value.

No you have changed me. plz warch that epidode one more time.

Infact abhi told simi indirectly how much he loves her and why? But simi wanted to hear the solid truth with those words ILU. and wriiters have to give also for viewers sake.

I think this Nakul part was rushing in so ILU was needed to cover up and make Simi know that she loves Abhi !!!
Jokes apart but these two could have handled the present situation much better. Abhi needs to calm down and Simi needs to talk to him and get some tension out of their area

Ramas, You are loosing focus here. Now you are talking about the rest of the world making sacrifices. So what? We're talking about Simi and how this is a characteristic that Abhi is supposed to like in her when it is this very characteristic that got her into the marriage with RB. How then can this be an admirable quality? To say that the rest of the world does it doesn't make it one and has nothing to do with the fact that it also does not go with the original premise of the storyline and the fact that the creatives have gone completely of course.

Ramas,

I understand everything you are saying ... and it is definitely praiseworthy to live for others and everyone is not capable ...
And age definitely should not be an issue for 2 adults to fall in love. This was the whole reason why I started watching the show ...
Whatever I am writing today is just based on today's episode (with the past episodes as the background).

If Simi is what Abhi thought and said so behind the temple, and is the reason for him to fall in love with and be his prized possession, then it is not the same Abhi today who said some really nasty stuff to Simi. Agree?

Abhi is really behaving like any other person ... any other person doesn't always see the 'golden heart' that Simi has .. it is since it is Abhi, that he could identify the golden heart in Simi and fell for her ? Then where is that Abhi?

So, the creatives have forgotten that and are making him behave like any other regular guy! This is where there is a mis-match and creatives are faltering there .......

p.s: BTW, the episode that you mentioned to watch again, just aired yday on zee-tv in the US .. so, it is really fresh in my mind...😊

So it means that Simi could have avoided and spoken and said no I don;t find this RB character upto my mark !! She did wanted to speak up but she was stopped by the reason that if her mom takes of responsibilities from her she can take care of the other two daughters,
Simi I feel she forgets that now Abhi is also in the look of her relationship .. If she really feels that when Abhi said I love you and she took it in the right sense that he is commited to his word then she could have given some consideration to his present position
