We are not saying that a guy cannot love a girl who is not beautiful, but make it believable, more so when the guy is 22 years old and the girl is 30. I think Tas you missing the point here. The creative team is telling you to accept this concept but have not done anything on the show to convince us of it. My dear, she hasn't even opened her hair up for the guy for him to say - wow, you look beautiful- they talked about it and I thought we would have the scene, but they didn't bother and he (Abhi) is now in love with her. Too fast.

The possessive part is not healthy; it's disturbing and it's contrary to his character. Impulsive is one thing and I can accept this but it not what we see. We are seeing possessive, obsessive and addictive and that is not appealing.

dear u tell him how many days have paased since they confessed..????its jst the second day...and in between lot of things have happened..nakul..neetu fiasco..and lots of other things..like anita tantrums and u expect simi to leave her hair open and dress up to impress abhi amidst all this????if tht will make u feel the serial is believable thn i dnt think thts the criteria for me for making a serial real......maybe our thoughts differ...i dnt think u have to proof everything..abhi loves simi..prove it???y???u need some scenes to believe he loves simi??y??its nt always necessary tht the hero gets some typical scenes imagining or thinking abt the herione..thn realising his love...thn delivering some long speeches to her..telling her y he loves her..how he loves her..he cant live withour her and all...i think this was the only serial where the confession was simple and small. and it does happen like this only in real life...u dnt take years to think and thn speak out long filmy dialogues to confess ur love..or make it believable..abhi and simi bth knw tht they love each other...confession was jst a formality...before tht too they bth cared for each other a lot..and cldnt hurt or see anyone in trouble...so r all these nt enought to make u believe tht they r in love..or i shld say tht a 22 yr old guy is really in love with a 30 yr old girl???
atleast for me its believable..and its simple and real..no grand realistions and confessions..simplicity is best..and ya after confession they cld have got a scene where they talk out alone abt their feelings..bt as u knw the next morning there was neetu tension and thn nakul...and all..so they didnt really get time..so atleast let the story progress...its jst the starting of the second day after the confession...........

I am highly disturbed that you would describe the relationship between an adult woman seducing a 12 year old as a romance. It might be real life but was illegal and not normal. For the people from India who don't know the woman was jailed and was no longer allowed to see her children. Parents entrust their children with adult people; if a child develops a crush on that person, then it is the adults role to explain to them that the sexual relationship between them is wrong. The person in this question was suffering from bipolar disorder and extreme mental health problems and is a registered sex offender to this date. She is a child pedophile. We have studied this case as I have worked for a number of years with victims of sexual abuse and have addressed cases of women who are in positions of teaching or social work and have engaged in sexual liasions with their clients who are between the years of 15-18. It does not matter if these women marry their victims. We have men who marry their sexual victims in other countries - that does not make it right. These women are highly disturbed.
For you to highlight this as an example of a May-December romance is highly disturbing.
I'll assume that you don't deliberately set out to misconstrue to suit your purpose and thus cherry-pick . . . I brought that up as a fine example of how bizarre human behavior can be . . . that you should have personal experience with such issues ought to have been sufficient for you to see what I was "highlighting".
But I wonder if you would consider this as pedophilia (or a disturbed mind) as well (I should have had a V8 moment when I was responding last night because I had seen this person for lunch yesterday): a high-school (from India) girl friend of mine who lives in the vicinity is (i) married to a man 7 years her junior (he's a pretty nice fellow); (ii) supports the 2 of them on her meager salary as a middle-school teacher because her PhD husband has been unemployed for 2+ years; (iii) loves him nevertheless and cannot understand how it's anyone's business to comment on either aspect of her life.
I look forward to seeing how you mangle this scenario . . . that, in itself, is creativity . . .

No ma'am that is not a fine example of bizarre human behavior - it is illegal and disturbed. I am rather astonished that you would think it or give it as an example of a romance. For you not to see any problems with this senario is very disturbing. If you see it in the same light as a woman with a younger man and both persons are adults, then yes, I am concerned about your own state of mind.
Thank you for your posts but your inability to find nothing wrong in an adult woman engaging in sexual behaviors with a 12 year old child as only bizaare says a lot about your way of thinking.
Have a good day.

hi dear..thx..and ya i do understand how u feel..coz lots of times i have the same feeling..all the negativity really makes u feel depressed..i knw tht all are jst expressing their views...bt sometimes it seems like we r trying to find fault with each & everything the creatives do..which i dnt feel is right..afterall i firmly believe in one thing & tht is , the serial is of the creatives..its their baby..they will handle it like they want to..u cant force thm or tell thm tht y u did like this..the story shld have gone the other way..the character shld have said this dialogue and nt the other one...its like u r writing the story..thts nt fair...give thm their freedom...they r making a serial...lets watch if we like it or else stop watching it...there is nthing wrong in pointing out tht u didnt like something bt tht doesnt mean the creatives r wrong..maybe 1 person didnt like it..bt someone else will like it..
and for the abhi simi confession i seriously believe it was very simple and beautiful..agar kuch aur din baad hota to maybe it wld have been more nice...bt tht time too i wld have loved it to happen the same way tht it did now...the unrest..the unexpected " i love u" frm abhi was wht made it more special...... 😃

Tas, as a viewer you and I and the rest of this forum has the right to criticize a show if it fails to meet with our expectations. We are not required to blindly accept what the creatives dish out. It might be their baby but the show is made for an audience and if it does not meet with their expectations, then they have a right to speak out. If the show meets with your standards, great for you and them, but it didn't for many others here. We didn't just say we didn't like the show, we provided example upon example why the creatives let us down. As for watching the show, some of us might continue to see what happens, but if the show continues to disappoint, then we will stop watching it.

Tas, at the end of the day...12/24 karol bagh is a product.....and the producers are selling it to the market...

They have picked an interesting subject with an excellent cast and have presented it to the audience. The ratings prove that KB can give the other telecast serials a run for their money..

Every creative unit must be carefully reviewing the response,, its a business thing, whats the harm in criticizing ?
Every creative field has a critic...and a critic is not a foe!
Viewers sensibility differs and it thats a natural thing .................

@ nisa & laila
ya as an audience we definitely have a right to express our views..like nisa said definitely its a product and we r the consumers...so ya basically the show is made for us...
bt wht i mentioned in my post was the criticism shldnt go to an extreme level...lots of thing dnt go according to my liking too in the serial..& definitely i wld have wanted it to happen some other way...bt at the same time i think i try to think frm the creatives point of view too and analyse y they showed a particular scene in a particular way and nt differently..like many of us have objected to they way the confession happened...bt y do we expect it to always happen in a typical way tht the couple confess in a grand way and thn talk deeply and discuss out things at length??yy??cant someone jst speak few words and confess???they knw they love each other..and if they wish too they can discuss out other things later any time....i mean its like we r used to seeing the confessions in other serials and we want it to happen the same in KB..KB is different..so if we r getting to see something new i think its nice.....
