Simi I feel she forgets that now Abhi is also in the look of her relationship .. If she really feels that when Abhi said I love you and she took it in the right sense that he is commited to his word then she could have given some consideration to his present position

Shanti, I am not sure I understand your post in relation to what was highlighted on my post. Care to clarify so I can respond? Thanks😊

Its to your earlier post question
We're talking about Simi and how this is a characteristic that Abhi is supposed to like in her when it is this very characteristic that got her into the marriage with RB. How then can this be an admirable quality?
donno if you mean to say that Simi could have said a plain no to RB and got going with her life? But then she knew that her mom wanted her to get married and then take over the responsibilities of Simi's sibiling who are in line next !

Next Simi who is soo committed to her responsibilities has at present forgotten that now Abhi is also a part of her life then some consideration to his present position should be given on her part.

Shanti, you are reading too much in the post. Read it as it is written. Ramas pointed out that the quality Abhi liked about Simi was her sacrificing herself for her family, but it is this very behavior that he admired that got her in the mess with RB in the first place thus making this characteristic of her not something that should be admirable. Since the writers had not done much to justify the relationship between Abhi and Simi, this is all they could come up thus forgetting that this is the very behavior that was challenged by Abhi the night of her wedding and is what got her out of the mess with RB.
Does that help😊

I completely agree with you Laila.......I mean who and what is she...simi just a plain jane , a woman ( not really a girl too) next doors and any 22 yr old handsome, well educated, rich guy would care a damn whatever she is going thru in her life......i mean never seen it happening in real life atleast .....agreed thats what appealed to us in the first place but simi should better wake up and see whats shes missing out in life by being so point blank mean and rude to the guy who stood by her like a pillar........agreed whatever Abhi blurted was pathetic...but those were not his words....he just told what his friend told him and what the world would think about their relationship though it does not matter to him at all.......this mam is more worried what if someone sees him with her and what wil happen to her proposals......God.......what are the makers trying to show us.....i am so totally upset and want to get my old Abhi back......

hey bt i dnt understand suddenly y y r objecting a 22 yr guy and 30 yr gal relationship...i mean y cant he go behind simi...
i mena it may sound very cliched bt ppl do love each other even if they r ugly..there r countless such examples where u see a beautiful gal in love with a guy who is very mediocre looks wise..and vice-versa...and like u said smriti is beautiful..and i agree she is being projected as a plain jane..so is it necessary tht a guy falls in love only with a girl with open beautiful hair??whts wrong in a choti???i mean ya we all r accustomed to watch a guy falling for a beautiful diva on tv...bt thts nt the case always...i knw someone who is in australia and he is in a relationship with a girl frm there who is i think arnd 125 kg or something and he is some average weight 60 or so...so now obviously we will say how can he???bt he did..cmon its love.....and y cant abhi fall crazily in love with simi????y cant he????
abhi frm beginning is shown as a guy who puts his everything in somnething in which he believes in..he was sensitive frm the beginning...frm the starting he did wht his heart said....he is nt the one who wld take calculated steps..jo uske mann mein rehta hai woh karta hai...he is a very genuine person..i am nt getting the write word..bt kehte haina ki jaise woh jo kuch karega apne dil jaan daalkar karega kinda guy...so the way he is reacting right now is very normal.....he is really involved with simi...he jst cant ignore the situation...he is bound to behave possessive..

Well I finally saw today's episode and I am wondering, what the heck am I watching now? This is not the Abhi and Simi I saw a few weeks ago. Did Sunshine Productions hire a new writer or did the guy get drunk and have a blackout?

My sentiments exacly!!!
Let me ask you this, which 22 year old guy would seriously go with a 30 year old plain Jane?? If a guy who is 22 goes for an older woman it is because he believes she is experienced in the world of sex and wants to get laid!! So the whole premise of a 22 year old man crazed and insecurely in love with a 30 year old, and that too a plain Jane, is becoming totally pathetic.

I am not a regular Indian soap watcher, so not in a position to comment on what brings in the ratings or how the show compares to others of its kind. Infact I caught KB by accident one day flipping channels while my baby took a nap (Im in the UK and hence a week behind, but for these updates here).... However Ive repeatedly come back for more and gone through the trouble of finding this board to discuss it, for the very premise you talk of. A together 22 yr old (I thought he was 24-25 initially, so i feel a bit conned there!) falling for a frumpy 30 yr old (again, i thought she was 28!)... the idea of going beyond appearances n all that fluff is appealing! Highlly unlikley but not impossible and up unitl now I was happy with the treatment (the moment of confession could've been better but I swallowed it). I even believed Abhi fell for Simi! Hes told her he found her attractive and smart and he confessed to guruji that he respected her selflessness, cheesy but possible, if only for the novelty of it....he is afterall surrounded by materialistic selfish people!
But im nearly about to find something better to spend my precious moments of free time on! It s not convincing enough anymore...I am detesting the ugly-word spitting loony house-breaker (the ghostly make-up is definitely not helping) and the over-controlled self-righteous 30 yr old! There's a limit to my suspension of disbelief!!!

Belle, from the UK? Spent the best part of my life there. You said it perfectly, I do feel conned that the ages have been changed. A 24-25 year old and a 30 year old woman is believable, but a 22 year old?? I think the double whammy of the "I love you" and the age drop was too much. The writers didn't even do anything to make the whole concept in the least bit believable after they made the age changes and did the I love you confession. They just did it thinkin. Did they think that just because the people like the Simi and Abhi relationship they could take such liberities with the I love you confession and drop Abhi's age and hike up Simi's, but do nothing extra to make the whole relationship plausible?
I was an avid fan of Eastenders, but have not watched it in years. Many unbelievable things happened on that show but the writers worked hard to make the storylines at least believable. They could have had a 22 year old 30 year storyline just like Abhi and Simi, but they would have at least made the whole relationship possible. Plus I don't mind if Simi is frumpy but by putting so many odds against her, and not working on the storyline and expect me to accept it, I do feel very cheated as a viewer. I expect more, perhaps others in India expect less.

Even if romances of this kind don't happen in real life, the writers have done nothing to convince us these relationships are plausible. Just making Simi a sacficial woman is not enough. Sure he (Abhi) found her attractive - first at the mandir and then the terrace, that does not "I love you" make. Abhi was more appealing that Simi - he was a guy with a good heart, not superficial and seemed more like the wanted to help Simi, not build a relationship with her. Had he been shown to grow with her as friends (and they had let this aspect take longer) it might have convinced some of us viewers, but the creative team got lazy and expected us to accept everything at face value. To add to it, they've stolen away the Abhi we all liked and loved and given us some insecure and disturbed kid.
I agree, Simi has more to lose if she does not apologize unless she plans to live her life with Nukul.

Then the writers should do something to make it believable. We are not saying that a guy cannot love a girl who is not beautiful, but make it believable, more so when the guy is 22 years old and the girl is 30. I think Tas you missing the point here. The creative team is telling you to accept this concept but have not done anything on the show to convince us of it. My dear, she hasn't even opened her hair up for the guy for him to say - wow, you look beautiful - they talked about it and I thought we would have the scene, but they didn't bother and he (Abhi) is now in love with her. Too fast.
The possessive part is not healthy; it's disturbing and it's contrary to his character. Impulsive is one thing and I can accept this but it not what we see. We are seeing possessive, obsessive and addictive and that is not appealing.
