SONU: The Stuntman

Sonu Sood loves to do his own stunts, but he never realized that he might have to pay for it. In his latest film UTV'sDhoondte Rehe Jaoge he plays the role of a duplicate of a super star. Just two days ago, he was required to so a scene where he needs to break a glass wall. Though he plays a duplicate in the film, the director insisted that he must use a body double. But it seems that Sonu was keen on doing the stunt. "It was a close up shot, and I didnt want to use any body doubles because I have always done my own stunts. I thought that this would be an easy one," says Sonu. The scene went perfect, and Sonu broke the glass wall which followed with an explosion. While everyone cheered after he gave one take okay shot, Sonu realized that something was hurting him. He took off his shirt and realized that he was bleeding profusely. "I have never done these kinds of stunts, so could realize that I might get several cuts all over my body," he adds. Sonu didn realize that when he came running in speed and broke the thick sheet of glass wall, the pieces entered his body, and he got rough cuts all over his body. They had to pack up the shoot for the day, and Sonu rushed to the doctor. Earlier, Sonu did a stunt for Singh Is King where he jumped off from a 40 storyed building. He also did all his stunts and war sequences in Jodha Akbar. The film is directed by Umesh Shukla, and also stars Soha Ali Khan.
