Soha Ali Khan, after a brief break from acting to focus on motherhood, is back on the silver screen, starring in the horror film "Chhorii 2." During an interview, she shared a chilling anecdote about her family's experience at their ancestral home, Peeli Kothi, located near Pataudi Palace.

Soha revealed that her great-aunt was allegedly slapped by a ghost at the dilapidated Peeli Kothi, which prompted the family to vacate the property overnight. This eerie encounter, which mirrors the terrifying atmosphere of "Chhorii 2," adds a personal layer to Soha's role as Daasi Maa in the film. Her performance, alongside Nushrratt Bharuccha, enhances the chilling experience of the sequel.

I don’t know how true that is because, obviously, I wasn’t present then. But apparently, my great-aunt was slapped by a ghost, and the mark was visible on her face

Saif Ali Khan's sister, though not present during the incident, suggested that the emptiness of the property might be attributed to the supernatural events that occurred there. “Ek khandar jaisa hai (it’s like a ruin). There must be a reason why people are not occupying that place,” Soha exclaimed.

Soha Ali Khan had a wide range of options for her comeback, but she opted for a horror film for a special reason. In an interview with PTI, the Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster Returns actress explained why she chose to return as an antagonist in Chhorii 2.

Soha stated that when director Vishal Furia and producer Vikram Malhotra approached her with the story of the horror film, she didn't give it much thought. She agreed to play the part because she is a big fan of the horror genre.

Soha Ali Khan, known for her roles in films like Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster Returns, is back on the big screen with a thrilling horror film, Chhorii 2. Her decision to return as an antagonist in the film stems from a personal journey of motherhood and self-discovery.

Soha revealed that becoming a mother to Inaaya Naumi Kemmu consumed her entirely, but as her daughter grew more independent, she felt a yearning to rediscover her own identity and purpose. This led her to embrace the challenge of playing a villain in Chhorii 2, a genre she has always been drawn to.
