Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt ignite cross-border buzz with blink-length cameos in Saudi actioner '7 Dogs'

Bollywood actors Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt have caught the attention of Indian audiences with their unexpected appearances in the teaser of Saudi Arabian film 7 Dogs. Directed by Bad Boys 3 duo Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, the action-packed teaser went viral shortly after its release, mainly due to the surprise cameos by these two Hindi film veterans.

Sanjay Dutt appears early in the teaser with a fierce expression and a revolver in hand, hinting at a power-packed and intense role. His gun-wielding stance, combined with a stern look, created early hype, especially among Indian fans who were quick to react online. In contrast, Salman makes a slick entry later in the teaser, seen in a white pinstripe suit with a mischievous grin, suggesting a more suave and cunning character.

Despite their brief appearances, the cameos have managed to stir strong reactions. A Reddit user shared the teaser, prompting many to comment. “This one second is way better than that Singham Again cameo,” wrote one user. Another said, “He is finally doing something new.” The internet was filled with excitement, with comments like, “Goosebumps!” and “Salman and Sanjay are bringing in the heat with epic cameos.”

7 Dogs also stars Egyptian actors Karim Abdel-Aziz and Ahmed Ezz. The film reportedly explores the spread of a deadly drug across the Middle East. The story is created by Turki Al-Sheikh, head of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, who earlier penned the Saudi series The Eight. The movie is expected to release later this year.

While specific details of Salman and Sanjay’s roles remain undisclosed, the teaser makes it clear their presence is more than just ornamental. Salman, during promotions for Sikandar, confirmed a major upcoming action film with Sanjay Dutt. “That’s rustic action. I’m doing it with my elder brother in the industry,” he shared. Currently, Sanjay Dutt is also seen in Housefull 5 and has KD – The Devil lined up alongside Shilpa Shetty and others.
