Bollywood director Rohit Shetty needs no introduction for himself. The renowned filmmaker has given constant streak of hit films, where his most recent one Sooryavanshi being responsible for acting as a resurgence for theaters. In addition to directing, he also serves as the presenter of the popular television reality programme Khatron Ke Khiladi.
In an interview with Press Trust Of India, Rohit Shetty discussed Cirkus, the director was questioned whether this movie resembled any of the movies that were based on the famous Shakespeare play The Comedy of Errors. To which Rohit responded by saying,
"It is not even close to the play's earlier cinematic adaptations. There have been several adaptations of The Comedy of Errors. It was first produced as a black and white Bengali movie, followed by Kishore Kumar's Do Dooni Chaar."
He further continued,
"Therefore, a lot has changed through time. Our movie offers a unique perspective. It is a joyful, cool, and carefree movie, similar to Golmaal and All The Best."
For the unversed, the production of this movie by Rohit Shetty got underway during the lockdown, and most of the movie was shot in a controlled setting according to Covid-19 guidelines. The movie will now be released around the Christmas holiday instead of its original July 2022 release date.
Apart from Cirkus, Rohit Shetty is also curating a show called the Indian Police Force, starring Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty, and Vivek Oberoi, which will release on Amazon Prime Video. After that, he will begin work on Singham 3, which targets an Independence Day 2023 release.
