Karan Johar pens emotional note on occasion of Father's Day; says, 'Today, I celebrate myself'

It’s Father’s Day, the occasion when we celebrate the first superhero of our lives. Karan Johar left everyone surprised when he announced that he was going to be a single parent to twins – Yash and Roohi. The decision was a very bold one taken a decade ago. Karan Johar’s has posted a message on how this was perhaps the most life-changing decision he took. He said that parenting was not easy and there were no rulebooks for the same. Hiroo Johar his mom and he brought up the kids together. Karan Johar who has often spoken about how the longing for a companion filled him for the biggest part of his life has said that fatherhood is the most satisfying thing. He said this is his answer to all his prayers.

The filmmaker said that throughout his life he got a lot of advice on how to be a good parent. But he has realised that this is a unique journey. Karan Johar had even said how spending time with his children was important for him, which is why he had taken some years off directing movies. In 2023, he made a comeback as a filmmaker with Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani. It was a perfect Bollywood romance full of colour, emotions and melodrama.

The filmmaker is seen as the host of The Traitors on Prime Video. Karan Johar is also working on a new script as per sources. Dharma Productions has a number of films coming up like Dhadak 2 starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri.
