Irrfan Khan's new career venture!

After adding many laurels to his acting career, the cult and acclaimed Irrfan Khan is all set to begin a new venture as a producer.

Yes, you heard that right! Irrfan would be soon co-producing a film titled 'Kaash'. This film will mark the directorial debut of fashion photographer Ishaan Nair, nephew of Mira Nair.

Irrfan's wife Sutapa Sikdar is also associated with the project. It will star Kalki Koechlin in  a special role. The film is a joint collaboration between Mira Nair, Irrfan Khan, Sailesh Singh and Shimit Amin.

Irrfan is keen on being a producer soon. When asked what kind of scripts he is looking to produce, he said, "I am looking at producing films which will give audience something fresh. And also something that projects my vision of story telling. I would like to produce o co-produce. As a co-producer I would like to handle the creative side of things and would want someone to handle the financial part of it as a partner."

Lastly he added, "I'm on lookout for more scripts which will be refreshing in storytelling. Content is the king."

Irrfan has been nominated for his role in "Piku" and will be in the race for the trophy of Most Entertaining Actor in a Drama Role - Male at the forthcoming BIG Star Entertainment Awards 2015, along with Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan and Anil Kapoor.
