Speculation around Diljit Dosanjh's exit from the upcoming sequel to No Entry has sparked discussions, with reports suggesting creative disagreements as the reason behind the actor’s decision. However, producer Boney Kapoor has now clarified the situation, calling such claims “absolutely false.”
Diljit, who was earlier reported to be a part of No Entry 2 alongside Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor, is no longer attached to the project. According to sources quoted by Filmfare, the actor was initially excited to collaborate with the cast, but differences in vision led to his departure. “Diljit was very excited to collaborate with Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor. But over the last few weeks, he couldn't align with the film's creative ideas. That's why he's decided to leave the project because of creative differences,” the source said.
While director Anees Bazmee declined to comment on the matter, saying, “I will not be able to speak about the matter right now. It is better if you reach out to Boney for the same,” Boney Kapoor offered a direct response when contacted. “Yes, there are date issues, but certainly no creative differences. That is absolutely false. We are trying our best to work the dates out,” said Kapoor, dismissing the notion of a fallout over creative control.
No Entry 2, which has been in discussion for several years, is being helmed by Anees Bazmee, who also directed the 2005 original. The first film starred Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan in lead roles and was known for its chaotic comedy and farcical plot involving marital misunderstandings and a womanizing friend.
The sequel reportedly features Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor in key roles. Tamannaah Bhatia is also speculated to be part of the cast, possibly in a role similar to Bipasha Basu’s from the original, though her involvement is yet to be officially confirmed.
Meanwhile, Diljit is set to begin work on the Border sequel, directed by Anurag Singh. The film is expected to release in January 2026.
An official announcement regarding the final cast of No Entry 2 is still awaited.
