Bigg Boss 19 premiere date reportedly fixed; Salman Khan back as host

Bigg Boss 19 is reportedly making a comeback, with Salman Khan returning to host the popular reality show. Known for its high-voltage drama and unpredictable twists, the show has remained a constant in Indian television for nearly two decades.

There had been recent speculation about Banijay Asia (Endemol Shine India), the production house behind Bigg Boss, possibly parting ways with Colors TV—the channel that has aired the show for several years. This led to uncertainty around the future of both Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi. However, as per a report by Pinkvilla, those concerns have been resolved, with confirmation that Bigg Boss 19 will be produced by Endemol Shine India.

Salman Khan, who has hosted the show for over a decade, is reportedly set to take the stage once more. This season will mark his 16th time anchoring the franchise. While he has previously acknowledged how emotionally draining the role can be, Salman continues to be a key face of the show, maintaining a deep association with it.

The Bigg Boss franchise has also seen success in the digital space through its OTT spin-offs. The first season, hosted by Karan Johar, initially faced doubt from fans but eventually gained traction. Divya Agarwal won the debut OTT season, with Nishant Bhatt as runner-up. The second digital edition brought Salman Khan back as host for a two-month stint, while the third was helmed by Anil Kapoor.
