Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan forayed into Bollywood together with Karan Johar's 2012 film Student Of The Year. Ever since then, the two have emerged as a hit onscreen Jodi, starring together in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania. What's more? The two stars are now ready to pair up on the silver screen once again with Kalank.

Interestingly, during one of their promotional rounds on a radio show, Alia and Varun were asked if they ever had a crush on each other in real life. To which the actress quipped, "There's no need to talk about who all we had a crush on in life. List bahut lambi hai, at least meri toh bahut lambi hai." Soon Varun joined in the conversation by saying, "Meri nahi hai lambi. I think it's a friendship. When you are very fond of someone, I think there's a lot of care and there's a lot of respect."

Hearing this, Alia pulled his leg and said, "You think it's a friendship??? Say it is a friendship na. 'I think it's a friendship' means what?" and Varun could not help but agree to her, "It's a friendship more than a romantic bond."

Amidst the ongoing discussion, their co-star Aditya Roy Kapur, interjected, "Ishq complicated."

Meanwhile, Alia and Varun's upcoming film Kalank, also stars Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha and Sanjay Dutt in key roles. Directed by Abhishek Varman, the period drama is all set to hit the screens on April 17.
