Border 2 NDA schedule: Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh & Ahan Shetty reignite the patriotism flame

The war drums have begun to roll once again, this time from the hallowed grounds of the National Defence Academy in Pune. Border 2, the much-awaited sequel to the iconic 1997 war epic Border, has officially flagged off its third shooting schedule at NDA, bringing together a powerful new cast and a production team that’s pulling out all the stops.

This chapter in India’s cinematic salute to its armed forces features a stellar ensemble: Sunny Deol returns, anchoring the legacy he helped build, while Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty step into new boots, ready to carry the baton forward. It’s a mix of generations, actors known for their intensity and screen presence, now uniting for a story soaked in courage, sacrifice, and brotherhood.

Spearheading the film is acclaimed director Anurag Singh, known for emotionally driven blockbusters, while the production side sees big names like Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta at the helm. The project is co-produced by Shiv Chanana and Binoy Gandhi, presented by Gulshan Kumar & T-Series in association with J.P. Dutta’s J.P. Films. In an interview with Zoom, Suniel revealed how Ahan chose Border 2 over other projects, a move that attracted some criticism. But as a proud father, Suniel stood by him, saying, “This is the film that will keep you alive, it will keep your father alive for decades.” With powerful intent, iconic settings, and a passionate cast and crew, Border 2 is shaping up to be a landmark film.
