The Littlest Warrior (and the plan to take down a demon)
The fight for the hero's soul had reached a critical point. After so many attempts they had finally brought him to his knees. Now it would take only a slight nudge in the wrong direction and all would be lost. The enemy had wanted control of his destiny for so long that they had done the unthinkable, and called in her: the most evil of succubi, who of all things had taken a liking to the human name Archie. Slight of stature, she would appear benign at first to the men she would be assigned to victimize, and by the time she had her claws and fangs into them, it would be far too late them or for anyone to do anything about it. And now she had done the one thing that would leave the hero susceptible to her charms. The hero lay devastated by her actions, and this was only the beginning. One push had been all it had literally taken to tilt the world on its axis... For the first time it appeared evil might actually win...

Hand in hand the mother and child walked towards the light. At peace at last the woman looked down at her child. Her last thoughts had been of him, and how he would fare without her, so no one was more surprised than she when it was her Neev who gently shook her awake from the darkness that had overcome her after the last fatal blow. By edict of the Almighty, she was spared the worry of how her child too had come to be in this state, all she knew was that they would finally be happy at last. Those who had gone before them were now awaiting their arrival, and never again would pain be a part of their existence. A gate appeared ahead of them, and mother and son grinned at each other, knowing that once they passed through them paradise would be theirs, but then, just as they were to cross the threshold, the improbable happened.

Neev hugged his mother, "I won't be long, I promise, Maa. The hero needs my help and so does Aunty Mehek.
Vandana smiled wistfully. She had known the moment her brave little boy heard the story that he would want to help. The danger wouldn't scare him at all, nothing would, for he had displayed warrior-like traits since the moment of his birth, up until that last moment when he had sought to protect her once again from the wrath of her husband.
He was very much like his father, who had they had managed to step through the golden gates of Heaven, Neev would have met at last.
She waved at Neev as he was escorted in opposite direction by Michael, the archangel who had identified the youngster as one who could counter the evilness of Demon Archie: who by her will had raised the peril to so many. The angel's fierce countenance froze, when, as he spoke to the child of the task ahead, the boy stopped, determined to speak one last time to his mother. Instead of shouting his words back to her, the child dashed back to his parent, anxious to make her understand one thing.
"Please don't be sad if you hear me calling Aunty Mehek, Mama. I will have to cause it's the only way the plan will work... I won't forget you...you won't forget me, either right?
Vandana smiled and embraced her child...Neev: her little warrior, if there was anyone for this job it would be him. "Never, Beta. Now go and do what you must.
