Actress Kiran Sharma, who essays the popular character of Kanta Chachi in Zee's Zindagi Ki Mehek, is presently shocked and appalled, and finds herself at a loss of words after experiencing a ruthless and ghastly act by a psychopath post which her entire house has been reduced to ashes.

Yes, there is no exaggeration here, as we say that a psychopath not only gave Kiran's husband V.K. Sharma a scare of death, but also blasted their house with a gas cylinder.
The culprit is a dismissed Merchant Navy officer who apparently got into an attack mode in Delhi's Patparganj area on Sunday.
As per today's reports in DNA, Rahul Matta, 39 years old, was reported to be mentally disturbed after having a strained relationship with his father Ravindra Matta. Rahul, who has criminal cases against himself both in India and abroad, tried barging into Ajanta Apartments in Delhi, when he was not given entry by the security men. Affter attacking the guard, the man went on to kill his own father. On a killing spree, Rahul also attacked another female resident in the apartment and finally entered the house of actor Kiran Sharma, who stayed there with her husband and son.
V.K. Sharma (husband of Kiran), an eminent theatre personality was in his house when Rahul barged into their flat in Delhi.
A credible source tells us, "When Rahul started attacking V.K., he saved himself by locking himself in a room. V.K. also called the cops. But the psychopath who had got really scared by now, locked himself in the kitchen and blasted the whole house using the gas cylinder."
Thankfully, the cops arrived at the right moment and saved V.K. Sharma.
V.K. Sharma in his report to DNA has quoted, "I had a close shave with death. I and my son were at home, but thankfully no harm was caused to my son."
We hear that nearly nine cops got injured in the process and Rahul too has suffered 60 percent burns.
A case against Rahul has been registered at the Madhu Vihar Police Station, and the cops are doing further investigation.
As per the reports in DNA, Rahul had been disowned by his family because of his mental condition. It is believed that Rahul is married and has two kids.
We tried our best to reach out to Kiran, but we could not do so. We hear that the actress and her family members are presently in terrible shock, and are busy dealing with the crisis situation. However, the dutiful actress is slated to report at shoot later today.
We buzzed actor Karan Vohra who said, "I have been busy shooting for a promo. I have just now got into the set. I will take some time to understand what exactly happened with Kiran."
We hope and pray that Kiran and her family get all the strength to gather themselves and start life afresh!!
