They leapfrogged to engagement and now Mehak wants to back track. Mehak knows where he stands in relation to those in his house (Karuna has told her his backstory) and her forsaking him because of their actions is a knee jerk reaction to the situation.

Sim, agree Kanta has a role to play here,but Shaurya too had some staunch views regarding middle class, they changed, when he fell in love with Mehak, despite his past baggage. Mehak maybe is influenced more by Kanta chachi, as her exposure to the world is limited, whereas Shaurya is Shaurya Khanna because of his painful past, other than nani & Karuna nobody acknowledged his presence, so I guess he is more self made.Mehak needs to peel the layers of her feelings for Shaurya & understand that he too underneath all that bravado is also a fragile, simple person & is bearing the burnt of someone else's mistake.

I don't think she's backtracking simply because of his family conflicts. There's a point I raised above - What Svetlana did by calling the police was no different from what Shaurya did earlier in the show by getting Mahek's chachas arrested. And this IMO was a reminder of how the rich play with commoners like Mahek & her family. Yes he has changed now. But that doesn't undo his actions from the past. And THIS is what Mahek is scared of - his world (beyond just the conflicts in his family).

I got what you meant about the way rich play with the middle class. The point i made in my main post was,Mehak & co should face them with whatever means at their disposal.Mehak went and challenged Shauriiya in his own house why is she not fighting Mami the same way?
waht will they do if another rich person harass them ?

As you say, when couples break-up for family reasons, time for well wishers in the families to get involved and sort it out.

Now that almost everything has been said and discussed in depth I think not much is there to add but just one or two points from my side. ...😊

Firstly, I agree with your views that either Karuna or Kanta should talk to Mehak. Karuna looks promising coz she cannot see her son in this state. She has done it earlier too on the ISC finale party, so she knows how to take it to Mehak. Kanta too possible as Mehak pinpointed last nite that it was Kanta who pointed out about their class difference much earlier ...So, Mehak coming to talk to Shaurya in the promo is definitely a push either from Karuna or Kanta or both...👏

Secondly, I am actually surprised at Mehak's behavior...I can understand that she is doing all this for her family but at the same time I see her decisions oscillating between Yes' and No'...😕she better decide what she wants from Shaurya...she herself declares her love for him and also knows that he loves her (he has indeed given her the ring!)...but whenever there is a problem (totally external) she tries to hold Shaurya responsible for it and again goes into the No' mode...if she thought that they can never wipe out their class differences she should not have allowed Shaurya into the Sharma house in the first place...but if it was love that made her take him in and give him a 5 day challenge etc then she should stick to it and together they should face any obstacles that come their way ...there is absolutely no serious talking that is happening between them. At least Shaurya has been constant in what he wants - he wants her and he wants her to declare her love for him - not once but several times as he can see that she is not convinced herself...so the level of commitment that Shaurya is showing in this relationship is totally lacking from Mehak (refer to her talk with Sonal, she doesn't trust him 100%)👎🏼... someone please put some sense into her...she has grown from a gullible girl to a strong young woman who can make her own choices...thanks to ISC and thanks to Shaurya Khanna...today she should be in a position to decide for herself...not sure why she wants to run away from problems, she should take a resolve to face them !!👍🏼

Shaurya may have lost the battle of will with Mehak, but he will eventually win the war😳,his feelings for Mehak are deep,even during the bag punching scene, he was thinking about Svetlana & her behaviour, no where was he upset or was recalling Mehak's behaviour, he is intelligent enough to understand the reason of Mehak's pain & outburst .

@bold- Nitya, this reminds me of another discussion here,where i mentioned the challenge was for Shauriya to drop his arms and be vulnerable, he's always on the offensive as his home is a battle ground.Y'day when he let the tears fall in front of Mehak he did it.And instead of making him feel secured she made him feel abandoned and vulnerable again.

Time for Mehak to drop her defenses around him and direct her attack towards their 'pyar ki dushmans'😆
