Sine ADHM releases Oct end, I'm assuming promotions will be in the month of October. Fawad's baby will be born then so I doubt he'll be out promoting! 😉

Was PMing another user about this earlier: Should we Fawad fans support ADHM in the silver screens? I've been hearing Fawad's role is so small. I will for sure support him when he has big/main roles, but when his role is so small and they are not using Fawad's talent as much as they should I just don't know tbh.

Well, I definitely will be supporting the film. I love RK, Anushka and most of all KJo! I'm sure the music will be epic and I just loved KJo's stuff before SOTY, so hoping he doesn't disappoint. Fawad is an icing on the cake 😃

Also I don't think his role is that tiny. I am actually hoping he comes for promotions because I love cast interactions in them to see how close they've become. K & S was great in that regard😆

Fawad has a very short role and the film isnt really important to his career...hence for me ADHM is like any other film. I will watch it if the trailer is good. Right now I have zero interest in it.

Karan Johar returns to direction with yet another awaited romantic flick. This time, he's got Ranbir Kapoor and Fawad Khan teaming up with Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. With an incredible cast that boasts of glamour and talent, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is one of the films to look forward to this year.

The film clashes with Ajay Devgn's Shivaay at the ticket counters this Diwali (October 28). Ajay Devgn recently kept a preview of the Shivaay trailer for select media. And the responses have been fantastic.

Now that raises a question. when is Karan planning to unveil the theatrical promo of his directorial venture? The answer's here. A source tells us, "Karan has planned to attach the ADHM trailer to the prints of his production venture Baar Baar Dekho. The Sidharth Malhotra - Katrina Kaif starrer hits screens on September 9. The trailer of ADHM will be launched on September 8, a day before BBD releases."

Someone has a different way of picturising the situation. "Whoever comes to watch Katrina in Baar Baar Dekho will get to watch Ranbir's trailer first. So that's interesting." How we never thought of it before!

Shahid to play Deepika's husband?

Shahid Kapoor, who had declared he was jobless after Rangoon, has just signed his next project " Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati opposite Deepika Padukone (in the title role). While Shahid has been in this industry for more than a decade and worked with some of the top actresses, he has never been paired with Deepika. Shahid will be seen playing Deepika's husband Raja Rawal Ratan Singh in Padmavati, a period drama based on Rani of Chittor.

A source says, "It will be a fresh pairing for Bhansali. Initially, Sajid Nadiadwala was keen to cast them in Heer And Ranjha, but the film got shelved. Bhansali has been in talks with Shahid for some time. Initially, Shahid was not too convinced as Ratan Singh's character. Shahid agreed to come on board once Bhansali worked out a stronger character for him and gave him a huge fee hike too. The film will require 200 days from Shahid. He gave the nod last week. Currently, he is growing his beard and hair for his look in the film."

Fawad Khan had also been approached for the period drama, but there were date issues. He couldn't give SLB 200 days at a stretch and that too immediately as they will start shooting from September. "Besides bagging a three-film deal with Karan Johar's production house, Fawad is all set to sign Salman Khan Films and BR Films next, directed by Nitin Kakkar (of Filmistaan fame). says a industrywalla, "Fawad is playing the main lead in films made by two top production houses, so why would he play second fiddle to Ranveer Singh in Padmavati?"

FK not being able to give 200 days? Is it because he is busy with work? Or is it is usual resting period where he does endorsements??

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is having trouble finding an actor to play a key role in his new film, Padmavati. It's a crucial part opposite Deepika Padukone, who will play the title role, but it's a secondary character to the film's male lead, which is" who else but Bhansali's Bajirao himself, Ranveer Singh.

No wonder, everyone from Masaan's Vicky Kaushal to Sushant Singh Rajput and Fawad Khan are believed to have politely declined. According to insiders, Bhansali always envisioned a new actor in the role, but was being urged by his lead pair, his studio, and his friends not to settle for a debutant before at least trying to land a marquee name. Despite multiple rejections, rumours are abuzz that Shahid Kapoor has said yes' to the role. Bhansali is believed to have convinced Shahid that the part will be one of three leads and not the third lead.

With Shahid, Ranveer and Deepika, and with Bhansali in the director's chair, Padmavati could well be 2017's most- anticipated title. According to sources in the unit, the Devdas director has planned the project in accordance with a schedule that will ensure it is complete in time to be considered for Cannes.

But will Shahid indeed stick his neck out and be a part of the movie, or will he develop cold feet like he did while working with Vikramaditya Motwane on AK vs SK, which he dropped out of after only a day's filming? We'll know in a few weeks. Padmavati goes on the floors at the end of August.
