Katrina Says NO to Chiranjeevi

It's official. Kajal Aggarwal is Chiranjeevi's heroine in his comeback movie which is his 150th. But we bet that you didn't know this. Katrina Kaif was asked to star opposite the South superstar, but she politely declined the offer.

The South industry is quite shocked at Katrina's refusal. Many heroines from Bollywood have readily acted in South films, including the likes of Deepika Padukone, Sonakshi Sinha and Amy Jackson.

Importantly, Katrina has acted in films down South, even though those might just be item numbers. A source from Hyderabad tells us, "She should have done the film with Chiranjeevi. She has several fans here. Why has she forgotten us?"

However, a source close to the actress says, "Kat hasn't had much to chew on, recently. But there is no reason why her Bollywood diary won't fast fill up. She is meeting many filmmakers and reading quite a few scripts. Gone are the days when she had started to soft pedal on her career, thinking that Ranbir Kapoor will marry her."

On the Bollywood front, Kat has been in talks with Karan Johar for a film, which will be directed by debutante director Aditya Dhar. Not just that, she is said to be the strongest contender for Aanand L Rai's film dwarf film with Shah Rukh Khan (Katrina finalised opposite SRK in Aanand L Rai's next, May 5).

Kajal will be joining the shoot in the third week of August. Chiranjeevi's comeback movie is a remake of Tamil blockbuster Kaththi which starred Samantha as heroine. V V Vinayak is directing Chiru's 150th movie and Ram Charan is producing it.

Meanwhile, we wonder if Katrina is now having second thoughts about saying 'NO' to Chiranjeevi.

Fawad Khan will be in Mumbai shortly to finalise his next project. For a while, there has been buzz that he will feature in Nitin Kakkar's film.

Fawad Khan

The Filmistaan (2012) director is keen to cast the hottie in a love story set in today's times. Kakkar is giving final touches to the story.

Fawad has been sounded off and he has evinced interest. The film will be co-produced by Salman Khan and the Pakistani actor is keen to work with the star's banner.

The rest of the cast is yet to be ascertained.

Manish is all for Fawad

There have been reports about Fawad Khan's spirited behaviour at an after party hosted by designer Manish Malhotra in Delhi recently. Manish, however, claims these reports are baseless and spread by a jealous party. "Fawad was not drunk. No such thing happened. We are not that kind of drinkers. It was not a party, but a small get-together of about 15 people consisting of my family members, and some models. I don't think Fawad can ever be rude to anybody " he's a wonderful guy!"

If indeed what Manish says is right that is Fawad didnt do anything and someone spread rumors then I am glad Manish has come out in his support. I know most people will not believe Manish but for Fawad its much needed as he is seen as representative of his country both by people from his country as well as Indians.
