Ajay Sinha 's other shows were about complex relations and with bold theme . These kind of relations plays havoc with people connected to them later on . Sometimes turns into tragedy . Virender is not from outside he is brother and will be more entangled when and if Channi comes as Virender's wife .

yes Ajay Sinha 's shows are about complex relationships. Growing up, I remember when Hasratein used to come. My mom used to watch it. I think it dealt with extra marital affair. Somehow my mom and the other aunties in the building used to love the "other woman" character even though she was flawed. Life is not always black and white. There is grey zone. Human relationships are like that too. Not many directors and writers can depict it well. Let's c how this show ends.

Ditto. This is reality, and it shows complex human nature, relationships and society. Jassi is not perfect, hell even outright selfish. But it is fascinating to watch. You feel bad for the other characters, the situations, as well as emphasize with the protagonist because she is not painted as without flaws. It is what it is. It's nice to such lead characters especially female lead characters. Everything else, Desi shows need the leads, especially female lead, to be all 'good and seedhi-sadhi.' Sometimes, you gotta admire Jassi's nerves of steel, man. Her turning it back onto Nimmi's father about his plans for Jamai ka Ghar, maintaining a dignified and self-righteous stance throughout, etc.

About Naren not taking her to Sharjah, well practically it made sense. There are many such married couples where one works abroad or away for some years. It is not always men either, in South India it is common-place in the case of both men and women . However, here, she wanted to go with him, and he made the decision that she wouldn't It wasn't a mutual decision. In reality too, it may often be a decision not taken mutually. But in terms of *why* he didn't take Jassi along, the mindset behind it makes practical sense. It may not always be easy to get spousal visa, easier lodging, less money to spend--and also, he wanted her home to take care of the house, Beeji and Varinder.

If he himself has gone to establishments, affair, etc, that is possible. Though it could also be possible he didn't. I don't think the fact that he didn't take Jassi along with him means specifically for a reason such as an affair. It's just something practical financially which many couples do. Anyway, they may show that he did have an affair, or maybe they will never address it and confirm or deny anything. Or they may show he didn't, which would be a very gutsy narrative choice actually.

About Tagore, agreed, but it wasn't recently that the secret came out. I think it was always speculated and speculated. Tagore wrote enough about her and his Charulata was always speculated to be loosely inspired from his own life, also afterwards when Satyajit Ray made it into a film.

I guess you are right about taking spouse to Sharjah. I don't have much idea. I have heard many people in South India, especially Kerala do work in places like Sharjah, Dubai, etc. And yes their spouses do tend to live in India. LEt's see what they show about Naren. May be he is clean. As per Jassi's flashback, Naren had taken the decision to go. Jassi had to comply with it. That is what happens in real life too. And yes that does not make Naren necessarily bad. However, I would like to see what flaws Naren has. Since the show is so close to reality, they should not show him larger than life like those daily soaps.
At the moment, I am bit confused as to what Jassi and Viren want. I thought they wanted physical relationship without any strings attached. There did not seem to be any love in it. But when Jassi said...saas ka pyar bate to bate, par devar ka pyar...woh batne nahin dongi... suggests she wants Viren to love her...Jassi at present does not seem to have any guilt at all. Yes she is worried about reputation. But that's it.
Viren however, feels bad.
I think I will agree with him.. Jassi is treating him like a machine...
I am very interested to see where this all goes...what will happen when the truth comes out...

There is bonding between Jassi and Virender . Both might be same age group and when she got married naturally you get attached and Jassi is kind of person taking care of everyone and after her husband leaving for job in another country after ( don't know how many months after marriage ) goes . she must have got lonely and never know when equations change . Her loneliness brought them near . One can't be judgmental ,its the circumstances . the actor playing Jassi is brilliant .

I hope the makers don't glorify Jassi...and I hope she and Viren get punished for what they are doing...I know this happens in society but it's being GLORIFIED in this show IMO...anyway,let's see where it takes everyone.

They are not glorifying Jassi. Right now nobody knows the truth. Let the truth come out. Then let's c what happens to Jassi and Virender...whether they are glorified or crucified.
Right now as viewers we know the truth but not the characters in the show. Let's wait before we judge...

Nothing , absolutely NOTHING can justify what Jassi and Viren doing IMO...Even if Naren is shown having an affair then too it's NOT justified because in that case Jasssi could leave him ...that scenario too doesn't give Viren the liberty to sleep with his Bhabhi behind his brother's back when he is busy earning money for his family.
What surprises or rather shocks me about this show is that Jassi and Viren are so cool about it...there is no guilt whatsoever hence I used the word " glorifying " for their misdeed.

They are just airing AA is And TV and I so wanted to discuss it here and am glad I watched it online. .yes Ajai Sinha is master in showing complex relationships but is also master in showing adultery and glorifying the lead flawed characters .apart from.Hasratein and Astitva his Justajoo left me gobsmacked..the girl has affair with her jijajee but at the end she dies tragically and yes he had glorified her character too like he does for Jassi..though I am pained by her dilemma but shocked at the same time as to how cool can she be without feeling guilty at the same time..yes Every girl wants her husband to be with her but many a times due to circumstances she is unable to..do all of them go about sleeping with another person and worse still her devar...I don't want to be judgemental but Viren here is just a young boy with no strings attached but still he feels guilty when Jassi brings him Channi's proposal..he is unable to prepare himself for marriage but how cool or rather indifferent is Jassi ..why spoil another person's life ..somehow I felt with Nimmi around Jassi would have learnt her lesson but this poor Channi is so innocent and helpless. .how can she do this to her...the other day while seeing Channi talking to Naren felt they were destined to meet the same fate...though the show is intriguing and interesting and love Viren Jassi's chemistry and looking forward to the twists and turns.

I think it's entirely possible truth never sees the light of day and everyone goes on with their lives. I have felt this since around the second week.

Channi may come to know. But that may be it.
