Ajay Sinha 's other shows were about complex relations and with bold theme . These kind of relations plays havoc with people connected to them later on . Sometimes turns into tragedy . Virender is not from outside he is brother and will be more entangled when and if Channi comes as Virender's wife .

Ditto. This is reality, and it shows complex human nature, relationships and society. Jassi is not perfect, hell even outright selfish. But it is fascinating to watch. You feel bad for the other characters, the situations, as well as emphasize with the protagonist because she is not painted as without flaws. It is what it is. It's nice to such lead characters especially female lead characters. Everything else, Desi shows need the leads, especially female lead, to be all 'good and seedhi-sadhi.' Sometimes, you gotta admire Jassi's nerves of steel, man. Her turning it back onto Nimmi's father about his plans for Jamai ka Ghar, maintaining a dignified and self-righteous stance throughout, etc.About Naren not taking her to Sharjah, well practically it made sense. There are many such married couples where one works abroad or away for some years. It is not always men either, in South India it is common-place in the case of both men and women . However, here, she wanted to go with him, and he made the decision that she wouldn't It wasn't a mutual decision. In reality too, it may often be a decision not taken mutually. But in terms of *why* he didn't take Jassi along, the mindset behind it makes practical sense. It may not always be easy to get spousal visa, easier lodging, less money to spend--and also, he wanted her home to take care of the house, Beeji and Varinder. If he himself has gone to establishments, affair, etc, that is possible. Though it could also be possible he didn't. I don't think the fact that he didn't take Jassi along with him means specifically for a reason such as an affair. It's just something practical financially which many couples do. Anyway, they may show that he did have an affair, or maybe they will never address it and confirm or deny anything. Or they may show he didn't, which would be a very gutsy narrative choice actually.About Tagore, agreed, but it wasn't recently that the secret came out. I think it was always speculated and speculated. Tagore wrote enough about her and his Charulata was always speculated to be loosely inspired from his own life, also afterwards when Satyajit Ray made it into a film.

I hope the makers don't glorify Jassi...and I hope she and Viren get punished for what they are doing...I know this happens in society but it's being GLORIFIED in this show IMO...anyway,let's see where it takes everyone.
They are not glorifying Jassi. Right now nobody knows the truth. Let the truth come out. Then let's c what happens to Jassi and Virender...whether they are glorified or crucified.Right now as viewers we know the truth but not the characters in the show. Let's wait before we judge...
